I've spent a fair amount of time thinking about how strange/sad this band's trajectory has been. Musically speaking, they're probably better as musicians than they EVER have been and seem to be in a really good place mentally and emotionally. It's just really a bummer thinking about what could have happened with this band. Watching their 2011/2012 Sound and Fury videos and when they went on that MASSIVE 2013 tour with The Story So Far and Stick To Your Guns compared to their reaction(s) now is hugely different and not in a good way. I guess that 2014 switch in sound to a more Propaghandi/progressive vibe was enough to make a majority of people jump ship. It's unfortunate because this band can fucking play for real.

Misadventures is a masterpiece. They may have progressed musically speaking but they definitely lost whatever vibe it was that people caught on to back then.

@@ns_down Absolutely. Misadventures is an unreal record that really doesn't get the love or have the legacy it deserves. It's a perfectly straddled line between progressive/complicated playing and still being very catchy and accessible in sound.
It seriously just blows my mind that a band could do such an insane tour like the TSSF one where that band had absolutely EXPLODED in the year before because of their first LP and the shows were selling out like crazy and literally just a year later, that SAME opening band puts out a second LP and basically no one is there for it at all. Pretty sad stuff.

@@ns_down The New Sidewalk is the masterpiece. All their releases is great but it seems that the better they got the less popular they were. The most underrated band in the entire punk scene IMO.
