This is one of the best tutorial videos I’ve seen so far. This is a must. FYI, I have no ties to this gentleman nor am getting anything in turn for promoting this video. Excellent job explaining and tutoring sir.
Just got my calls in ordered from ya a few days ago. First time trying to use mouth calls, I got a LONG way to go. But wanted to say thank you for the videos and instruction. My wife's already gettin pretty tired of hearing that sick turkey in the garage every afternoon. LoL
Awesome. That’s my only goal is to hopefully help a few folks along the way. Thanks for the positive feedback and for tuning in. Good luck this spring!
How do you create the whipping sound on your cutting call. Very nice sound. Just purchased my first mouth call’s. Beau Brooks has a pronounced jaw dropping as he calls on his videos that I can’t do. It appears you have a shuttle movement you use. I’m getting better results closer to your cheek movement better. I wish there were more in-depth video’s that could show mouth and tongue movements working in tandem. I love your videos. Thanks for teaching us beginners.
I think alot of this just comes with practice and using the right calls. As I emphasize the calls that require less air will teach you to make the sounds and articulate your jaw, tongue and lips while delivering the air as needed. All of the calls I make are ones you will find use very little air, thus you can focus more on perfecting the sound your looking for without really struggling to find and control the air. Let me know if there is a video of sorts that would be helpful to explain something and I will try and make it happen.
You have to start with a constant pressure on the bottom of the call, and as you pop air across the reed, you will release the pressure from the call's bottom.
Sorry Bud Its kinda habit. I will try and make a more comprehensive video on cutting and keep my hands out of the way. Thanks for the feedback! Good luck this spring and look out for an updates on cutting.

What part of your tongue are you using? Do you use the tip of your tongue or more of the middle when putting pressure on the reed?

Wait a minute, you said Virginia. What part of Virginia? I’m in the Smyth county area.
Yes sir! Isle of Wight County!
Can't see what your mouth is doing because you covered it with your hands
