    She was totally wrong to touch the child's hair. She should have waited for the mother though the school made everything clear in the report.

    The plaintiff has to get someone new to get her daughter. Because if she was in my house and I suspected that I would have.

    Both the defendant and plaintiff are trips...
    Defendant sounds like she is a dictator of other ppl's do's and don't and the plaintiff seems like she's not much of a good parent (scattered)

      I agree. Both litigants are over the top
      Yes, the defendant was wrong. But the mother was late and didn't notify the defendant
      Both sides blew the facts out of proportion.

      Agree. I always remind myself not everyone thinks the same. I would never do anything without asking a child's parent of course while hoping they would do the same. Someone else might feel like it's no big deal and they're just helping out. Like you said the plaintiff should've just let her know in the future to consult her first. Lastly, I remember having head lice from it going around in school. My mom did treatments, mayonnaise, even cut my hair from waist length to shoulder length. I remember being mortified and screaming and crying when having my hair done. All kids do it. I think therapy is a bit far but I'm not a professional so I can't comment.

    As a parent I get it. I would have been livid if someone had put their hands on my child for any reason other than to save their lives. Allow the mother to mother her child and make those decisions. No, you just don't take it upon yourself to clean someone else's child hair.

    The defendant is disgusting. She's the perfect example of a "snob" who thinks money gives her the right to play God over people less fortunate.

    I would've have washed and checked too and the daughters hair. The mom is dramatic. Kids cry cause they don't like it. Oh well. Mom needs to say thank you😊

      Agree. I've gone through the school head lice phase myself 20 years ago and now with my son who's 4. It's been hell. She should've consulted the parent first and the plaintiff should've simply said hey next time talk to me first. I agree both litigants are over dramatic. I'm not a professional but the therapy seems too far although everyone should have therapy.

      You've got to be kidding me here ! That woman was a downright snob and the school never said the child had lice ! " pay attention " it sent out letters for every parent to take home ! It was just an advisory ! This nasty woman made a homemade remedy , without even knowing if the child was allergic to the ingredients in her home made junk or not ! She had absolutely no right to touch the girls head ! And after suing her I would've snatched that ugly wig off her head!!!

    • @Criminal.Lawyer.2024
      @Criminal.Lawyer.2024 6 місяців тому +10

      @mariannemcgee6262 Apparently, you've never went to college and studied psychology. Otherwise, you'd know that the ages between 4 and 8 are paramount to a child's emotional and psychological development...including things such as their self-esteem. Therefore, there is an entire branch of clinical psychology called "child psychology" dedicated strictly for young children. I'm guessing the defendant also made negative comments about the little girl and/or her mother to justify why she was only washing her hair and not her own daughter's hair. The judge was absolutely correct to order weekly sessions to start. The psychologist and a psychiatrist (if needed) will later determine the frequency of the sessions and when they should end. But keep in mind, the girl has already had 6 weekly sessions and the psychologist felt more were needed. Had you been paying attention; you would have understood that the judge was literally following the advice of the psychologist to continue with sessions.

      @@Criminal.Lawyer.2024 ooh come on how many times have you got a bad hairstyle growing up or of age? did u ever get therapy for that? it was a simple wash, the problem could've been solved by the defendant offering to pay for a hair treatment done by a professional not a weekly therapy and the 10k was just crazy she definitely wanted the money for herself. it was never about the child and luckily the judge clocked it, because what matters is the doctors note for the defendant to pay for the therapy, IF ITS EVER NEEDED regarding the hair incident,directly to the psychiatrist and the mom gets no money. And lets be real that kid most likely forgot about it but the mom is an opportunist and wanted to milk the moment.

    • @Criminal.Lawyer.2024
      @Criminal.Lawyer.2024 Місяць тому

      @@bridgetteruth4333 Bridget, I honestly can't believe the opening sentence of your reply chalking this up as a "bad hairstyle". This case has absolutely NOTHING to do with a hairstyle. You sound ignorant as hell. You remind me of the people who used to trivialize kids being bullied, picked on, laughed at, put down, and/or teased. Nowadays, the vast majority of people understand that being bullied, teased, and put down as a child can lead to emotional and psychological issues, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, fear, self-doubt, and low confidence. I'm going to guess you are over the age of sixty and came up in a different era...like when it was commonplace to spank children. Nowadays, most people don't spank their children because it teaches them violence and instills fear in them. The world has changed and people like you just don't get it.
      I also think it's ignorant of you to think this case is all about money. The plaintiff had the child in therapy long before the lawsuit was filed. It was only after she discovered that her healthcare plan would no longer cover the child that she decided to sue the defendant. She asked for $10k because she really had no way of knowing how many sessions the child needed. And you seem to gloat at the plaintiff not getting money but instead getting unlimited sessions with the psychologist. But you clearly are not a thinking person because, with a court order, the plaintiff can now go to a more expensive psychologist and the bills can easily exceed $10k
      The bottom line is that nowadays people are going to do whatever they have to in order to protect the physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing of their children. Child psychology is one of fastest growing occupations in the U.S. Just like most parents no longer spank their children, most parents now understand the short and long-term effects of an old arrogant and cocky lady--who worships money--talking down, putting down, and treating their children like shit. It's a new day Bridget, things have changed.... like women no longer tolerate sexual harassment, etc. You really sound like a monster, if after hearing the testimony that a 6-year-old kid is crying and yelping over the incident, but you somehow think the mother should have just swept it under the rug. And it's crazy that you think you know better than a highly educated, experienced, and accomplished judge AND a highly educated psychologist. And judging from the grammatically error-filled paragraph you just wrote; I'm wondering if you even finished high school.
