In terms of big spenders in Thailand, you've gotta go interview some of the Russians in Phuket.

Worked with many South Africans, smart people. Glad to see this couple enjoying themselves and making a success outside of the issues for their group in SA.

I find Thomas more relatable since I have lived here full-time since 1977. I don't work and don't have kids but I can still relate to his lifestyle.

Great interviews and hope to see more, especially as diverse.
Stuck between a 6wks final scouting trip end of this month or next (might delay?), or just waiting and start selling and packing up for good. I did live in patong for 9mos in 09, and 6 wks in 17(between Chiang Mai, phutket, Bangkok too), so I'm not going blind. But the world and traveling is becoming so different and unsure) lockdowns, wars?, etc) right ? 🤙 Aloha from Maui 😎

As Thai owned very small restaurants with hired one European chef my cost is 100k per month with work permit and company but sadly more foreigners do a lot of illegal business and make price cheaper than legal company I’m totally supporting anyone who make it legal and yeah real truely understand Thai.

I 100% agree with the message from them and you. That is. Not to just lounge around on the beach or in the bars. Find an interest, hobby or even open a small business that you are passionate about. Success comes easier if you are passionate 🙏

Great interviews and though I'm at the opposite end of the financial 'scale' to what Tomas is, I really enjoyed the interview with him, more so than the young couple. Maybe because Tomas and I are very close in age.

Good to see how the younger generation is making a possibility of making a life in Thailand, making a living whilst still having a great standard of living. Fair play to them.
Thomas has done alright. Fair comment about how Thailand could make life simpler without such rigorous bureaucracy.

Thailand still a great option compared to here in America and the cost of living. But wow gyms are expensive compared to America. Planet Fitness is $10 a month in Oregon.

the second speaker talked about the prices in Villa Market and Tops for 'European' food; I have also wondered how I'd manage with finding/affording organic or free range meat (as i choose in Germany) - the differentiation or availability doesn't seem to be a big thing from my browsing of Thai supermarkets/street markets, compared to Europe (if you are interested in either higher nutrition or caring about animal welfare)

Great vlog Ryan. Interesting young couple...and cat! Bikes always meant pedal bikes when I grew up. Living with traffic in a tract house 10 minutes by petrol bike to the beach and working at home is not why I moved here, but realize many do live that way even in Pattaya on the Dark side as it is called. Incredibly cheap rental they got! Respect to the Eden Grill guy, quite the entrepreneur for the wealthy. What business people he and his wife are! Retirement and alcoholism is easier with way less carbon footprint! 555 No car, motorbike, house, pool, stress, headaches, deadlines, number crunching, money handling etc...

Great video, the thing Germans are famous and stereo typed for is being very organised and being on time so living in Thailand will take a lot of adjustment and patience, but Thomas seems to have made it work. It would be very intresting to here more about his clinic for stem cell treatment.

5000 baht on food for the 2 of them. What do they live on air. Water must be bought to drink unless you have a filter. A poor frugal Thai would struggle on 2500 a month on food.

Definitely like the country end of Thailand better, the more touristy spots seem low end and focused on boozing, cheap western food and sex. Just wondering if there is local upscale dining , locally sourced, even if it involves insects and the likes which actually could be very interesting and worth the trip! Thailand 🇹🇭 obviously has huge potential, I hope they can make their transition to a world economy without trashing their roots and maintain their originality, preserve the good, adopt the best!

You have very weird view of Thailand. Go to Bangkok its a huge metropole and you can have AS HIGH END life as you can in Manhattan or HIGHER forexample. For a fraction of the price. The high end condos are so high end you would have to be a billionaire to afford lifestyle you can live for so much less in Bangkok...

I like how Phuket is so international. Sorta like a miniature Singapore or Hong Kong. It's just sad that there's not a lot of industries on the island besides hospitality and leisure. There should be a tech or start up scene there for international young people to work for.
