LOT8s // Chicago O'Hare - Jan 11, 2024 9:08 PM CST // IntelliSTAR 1 Emulation

It's been a while! I've had my interests in other projects the last couple months. I had been planning to make a forecast emulation for the winter storm that came through the Midwest in January, and it's finally here. Modelled after a couple Local on the 8s from the iconic Blizzard of 2011. This storm did not live up to the hype where I live. Either way, enjoy the video, more coming soon hopefully!

ABOUT THE INTELLISTAR 1
The IntelliSTAR 1 was one of several units sold to cable headend providers by TWC that was capable of generating local forecasts and overlaying narrations over the background music. The IS1 was officially launched for local forecasts in 2004, and retired in 2015, after TWC's "Weather all the Time" (WATT) rebrand. During its tenure, the IS1 received a handful of graphics packages.
