Great advice Coach, I think I seen you play an another You Tuber, and you played a great net game, and you have a terrific kicker. I am a disabled person and I had two hip replacements, a plate in my left shoulder, and my left hand was reconstructed, the left had is from a car accident as a child, so that hand doesn’t give me any problems. I played tournaments, and taught back in the 90’s before my surgery’s. I got pissed off because I lost my speed , so I couldn’t play in the men’s opens anymore, I worked so hard to get at the 5.0 level and hit thousands of tennis balls to get at that level, so I stopped playing tennis because I was prideful and didn’t want to lose matches because I wasn’t able to move quicker. I am 51 years old and I started playing tennis again to help little Joshua make his school team, and I am teaching my wife, both are doing great and I share your videos to them, and teach them what I learned from you, and my dude Nick. I still play with my Wilson Profiles 95s L3, and recently I got my boom sticks strung. Hahe when I picked up my racquets a college player and teacher wanted to hit with me on the clay courts, I hit with the fella, and he asked me if I wanted to join a league, and said I should play in the 40, to 4.5 leagues. I told him I would train and see how I do, but my goal is for December. I can hit the Kicker, but sometimes I frame the kicker because I can’t bend my legs to hit the serve correctly all the time. Is there a trick I can use to get my racquet to hit through the ball cleaner without using my legs so much? Thank you very much for your great work on your videos my friend.
Framing the kicker is a good sign... it means your racquet is approaching the ball in the right way, you just need more practice and confidence in getting the racquet edge by the ball (not framing) and picking up the strings to get the kick! To your tennis success, Tom
Great side view! I've said many times that the bbc' s coverage at Wimbledon still concentrates on a head on view, we rarely get to see a players "side angle toss and impact point". 🎾
What a big kick you get! I noticed that you contact the ball behind your head. I've never seen that. I've seen most players contact directly above their head. Thanks for the video. Nice slow-mo demo.
great video- Ive tried this and it really frees up your swing and confidence when the ball spins in. Follow up question- how do you modify this serve to make it a first serve? Toss further in front and pronate more through? while still brushing? Im confused on what people call a flat/slice serve
As usual, Tom, this is a great explanation and demonstration. One question, though: since you’re hitting from low to high, and your forearm seems closer to the “horizontal,” does that mean the apex of the toss is slightly lower than with the first, flat serve? (Or is the forearm closer to horizontal because you’re tossing more over your head, and catching the ball sooner?) Thanks.
Great video Tom. I seem to hit the net a lot on my second serve. I seem to struggle a lot with the ball toss, i try to brush up but hit a lot of double faults, what advice do you have for me?
Mr Tom thank you for your teaching. Can you do a video about dealing with cheaters Perhaps an underarm, serve followed by lingering eye contact, a big smile, a 'lets go' and a thumbs up

Do you have also tips on hitting nearer to sweet spot, if one hit too near top of frame while hitting serves.
