0:17 "I don't have any expectations, I want to win" - sums it up right there! 🏆

Q: "How did you handle the hot temps?"
    A: "It's not hot."
That perfectly answers the question without answering the question.

English is not his first language, give him a break. He was trying to say it really wasn’t hot for him because he’s used to racing much hotter temps in his native country. Probably why he didn’t do well in cooler temps at Oceanside.

As a Texas and Houston native it was 100% not hot the day of the race. It was low of mid 70s with high of 81.
      A hot day is 100+

I’ve seen this guy racing at Cozumel last year… it was so humid and after 30km I was done… leaving the bike early I’ve seen all the pros running there, I saw him running and he had the best run split there, he was flying!
And his form is beautiful too!!
Talking about gear is so stupid!

He isn’t out of nowhere. He’s been racing in Mexico for years with great results. He even got second place in Mont Tremblant 70.3 in 2022. He may be new in the spotlight, but he isn’t new to racing at all.
