@Jellyfishlady Ah. I don't think she is dead, as she invented ways to resist Reversion and also know about it the most, plus once said that it not completely erases you, but reshapes you. So most likely she is alive or will be alive, maybe it all was to empower herself with the powers of Storm.
@@vasilyfamilienko4318 yeah, even i doubt she's dead considering how calm she was during the moments before her death and how inhumane she feels to a point where i think she's actually an awakened like lucy.
Tooth fairy is what got me into this game. She gives this very eerie energy, which made me think she would be a wolf-in-sheeps-clothing typa character, but in reality she really means no harm (to us atleast, fairies wont be seeing the light of day again)
For me it was Ann Ann Lee. Specifically when she said, "Easy laa~" made me instantly directed to play store to download. I'm Indonesian but eh close enough. 😂
X, I'm not sure about "creepy", but this boy can definitely be the scariest character in this game. There is a good reason why he was represented as the "killer" in halloween arts 2 years in a row. And he canonically secretly kill peoples sometimes.. if they annoy him too much.

I won’t dig into detail too much because I’m not too well versed with his backstory but he was in an orphanage. Depending on your perspective you may say he was abused as a kid alongside his peers in the orphanage. In his 100% bond story Pandora Wilson asks him about the murder of one of the people in the orphanage (I assumed it was a caretaker). If my memory serves me right she asked about the “precision” of the death due to a loose shingle on a roof. From his bond story she exactly says, “The deceased appeared to have been killed by a loose shingle from the roof. The angle, wind speed and power it had was incredibly precise.” From here X responds to her ignoring the statement with, “Oh, such is life. It’s filled with coincidences and accidents. Don’t be sad. Now, let’s try this Mini Priest Bouncer and pray for him, shall we?” If you can read his 100% bond story it’s really obvious he was avoiding the question. Now spoiler for his anecdote. In his anecdote Vertin takes him and Sonetto on a field mission to take someone into The Foundation before “The Storm” hits. Her reasoning for bringing him along was because he’s good at communication. By just seeing his lines and how he speaks and interacts with others, he’s highly skilled at staying polite no matter how agitated he is. In the anecdote on the way to the Pharmacy that the man they need to pick up is at they see a huge group of protesters outside the place. When they get closer loads of flyers going against the Pharmacy is thrown into the car due to the windows being open. They close the windows and eventually look at the flyers. (I don’t recall what the flyers said exactly but either one of those or the protesters outside the car said the Pharmacy is a total scam due to the fact the medicine the place provided could go from $5 to $500). So eventually they all head into the Pharmacy trying to convince the man they are picking up to come with them by The Foundation’s orders. They end up meeting the man, being called Mr. Wilson. From my view and memory he seems pretty lousy and kinda just refused to come along. Vertin was required to take him back to The Foundation before The Storm. Eventually, the team decided to take a break (I think) and headed out the Pharmacy. While Vertin was going around with Sonetto, X disappeared and she later finds him in some underground tunnel with a group of kids. He was playing with them by making some sort of Goldberg Machine like contraption to bounce a ball I think(?) Eventually the kids get tired of him and leave. Vertin then starts talking to him making a remark about how the kids like him. In the conversation they have X states that the kids he was playing with were the children of the protesters. He also says that all the children were suffering from something called Wilson’s disease. Mr. Wilson had been denying the children of the medicine they need which is why the whole protest was happening. Later X goes off somewhere and Vertin has no absolute idea has to where he is. Eventually she finds him on a rooftop but he doesn’t notice her presence at all. He’s talking to himself with his book in hand. I apologize my memory of his anecdote isn’t very clear but Vertin does head back and finds Sonetto trying to calm down the protesters. Mr. Wilson finally decides to get in his car and head to The Foundation. Sonetto ends up casting an arcane skill to aid in calming down the crowd. Yet right as Mr. Wilson leaves in the car, the sign to his pharmacy falls down onto the car resulting in crushing it and setting it on fire. Guaranteeing him dead. Everyone’s shocked at this point and probably thinks it was Sonetto due to the fact she casted an arcane skill right before it happened. Vertin, Sonetto, and X head back to the suitcase. Sonetto feels bad and just heads off away from Vertin and X. Vertin ends up confronting X asking if he killed Mr. Wilson. He kinda seems to not confirm nor deny the accusation. He’s a smooth talker so he replies back to all her statements in the most calm manner possible. She points out how he practically used her friend being Sonetto. Later they all get to The Foundation being interrogated about the incident. Sonetto passes along with Vertin and X. Although when Vertin was called in and questioned she was asked about what she knew. She said she knew nothing about the murder. She lies, covering for X despite him pissing her off. I also forgot to mention that if you’ve seen X’s promo video during pre release, I don’t know if I recall this correctly but right before exploding the cargo plane (I think it was a plane) he says “The butterfly flapped its wings.” right before exploding it. He as well says this in his anecdote before Mr. Wilson dies.
i am so sorry for how long this is i just really love talking about his character 😭 i also apologize for any grammar or spelling errors it was kinda hard to make the comment on a small screen cause i didn’t expect to make a big comment 😭
I also forgot to mention how he can be seen as unsettling. At first, he has a very polite and almost innocent demeanor. Which is probably what's thought of him until it's learned he's a murderer. I just realized I forgot to state that with the Wilson murder we can see how he proceeded with the murder upon learning Mr. Wilson was denying medicine to sick CHILDREN. His motives seem to always involve children which to me makes sense with his backstory. I also feel that his Halloween garment reflects this part of his character well due to the fact him killing is probably not something expected from first glance.
@@r1ngingb3astnow that I thing about it, he can actually slickly murder someone and get away with it using his Goldberg machines. Because of how intricate it is, any investigator won't be able to figure out how he did it. Plus he can make the trigger to be the victim's action, so practically the murder can happen with him being nowhere near it. Wth my view on him became very different.
(Spoilers for his anecdote) He used a Goldberg machine to kill a famous businessman who was going to inflate the prices of his community. When Vertin confronted him about it, he said Sonetto was part of the machine, which meant she would be the culprit if the matter was ever properly investigated, buying Vertin's silence. Absolutely crazy.
I wish we could see more content about it and X in general because this is so fascinating. I wanna see more about him being a hitman. Didn't he actually kill a guy in that one story basically using Sonetto as a murder weapon? He's scary and I wanna SEE him being scary

8:04 I totally agree. Not playing one of her voice lines was a missed opportunity in my book, since the delivery is just so spooky. She's clearly a sweetheart but sometimes her voice is very stilted, sometimes a word drags out like air escaping a balloon, and sometimes the way she says things is just bizarre and ominous. She's probably one of the most powerful arcanists, lore-wise, too.
Another thing that makes Lorelei creepy is that I think she's designed with the "uncanny valley" effect in mind. She's soft-spoken and her voice is crystalline, but she delivered her lines in such a stilted way that's not robotic enough to be inhuman, but also not human enough, which makes it feel uncomfortable. She's also very pretty, almost doll-like even, with clean, beautiful face and hair and she's drawn with an almost porcelain textured skin, but not comically enough that she's easily identifiable as a human sized doll. Again, "just enough" to bother you. Oh, and also she kinda leaned on the fourth wall in one of her lines, but I forgot which one. I think it can catch some people off guard.
I'm not yet convinced that's she's not straight up a literal angel only bound down by the fact she was raised by humans. After all... What would necessitate that many chains and belts to keep a sweet girl by the water with her conch in check?
I believe it's part of her idle line: "--You just placed me here, another doll in your display case. Are we all your little dolls?" Implying that she's somewhat aware that she's just one of many character that we, as player, collect in a game.
The living ladies of the spirit type faction are all quite insane but are all so beautiful, and I'm starting to notice a pattern of the limited spirit type ladies being so ship-able with plant type ladies and I love their dynamics so much

I love how much easter eggs this game has 😂 I love Click! He's definitely the sweetest boy! I especially love this one voice line he has! Its literally a meme lmao!😂💙 It starts off with him seeing a cat and a woman arguing, then proceeds to say 'it just seems not into vegetables' (the cat) It took me a while to see that its a meme but its so funny, lmao how they sneek so many easter eggs 😂 (funny how I say that and not actually know if they include a lot) its that one meme, one located at a fancy restaurant, with a woman pointing at the cat in its seat. The cat has a plate of vegetables in front of it! Its that one meme! Lmao, if you get it then you get it 😂💙
TTT is alive, she is not considered an awakened nor she is a Spirit character (all human-ghost-like characters are spirit unless they are considered awakened). UTTU describes her as a regular arcanist. So my guess is that she is/was a regular human/arcanist but sacrificed her body (maybe that's her arcane skill?) to be omnipresent on the internet/tv. That kinda makes sense as somewhere i read that she is based on a IRL person related to internet/computer developer (sorry, forgot her name). In one of her voicelines she asks Vertin to move one of the TVs to the ground so she can rest, that means she can be physically tired still in her TV form.
One of the scariest characters must be Anjo Nala! (Ms. Kimberly) she's always "hungry" and the fact that she's tormented by her toy and people who uses her to kill by threatening her to be turned into that toy again makes the situation even more sick!
The Fool is my absolute favorite character! I love jester characters so they’re low key the reason why I started playing the game. I can definitely tell how they can be spooky and I love that/gen Also, fun fact, The Fool doesn’t have a canon gender :)
I still don't know why I decided to drop this game, even when I was a day one player. I just came back to the game a week ago to see what's going on. And after playing for a bit, I was actually vibing with the game. So much so that again, I don't understand why I dropped it back then. So, I've added Reverse: 1999 back into my game roster with only Lylia and Melania as my 6 star characters. 😭
If I remember the very first version, the story had very little exposition, and you learned it, but it didn't even give that much to learn. The voice acting could've been less awkward, and the story dragged in places. They got much better, but that could've been why you sort of dropped it
The plot gets so much better and I cried multiple times so yeah, please continue playing!!! The first chapter was the roughest part imo. I also wasn’t a fan of the card gameplay or chibis initially, but it’s grown on me. The characters were too eye candy so I stuck through the beginning lol
Thank you for making summarizing some of the rev1999 characters lore! ❤️My english reading isn’t the best so I’ve got no clue on how to understand their lore in a summarize way. Hopefully you can do this type of video more in the future!
Honestly, these three aren't playable but they're still incredibly terrifying in my opinion: Arcana, Ms. Grace, and Ms. Kimberly Big on Arcana, that woman TERRIFIES ME TO MY CORE
After all the creepy characters that they kept releasing, no one can match Arcana, and she is not the "Oh ma ga, she is so hot" creepy, I just straightly hate her 😭 also the event "lowkey connected to the main story for the 2nd time" story, i cant believe i got jumpscared by a simple eye on the key hole 😭
Loved the video @Koomaxx! Can't wait for the next video Girl! I'm down for whatever content you cover, especially if it's either Hoyoverse or Reverse: 1999. As someone who's looked into the Yandere Troupe, I can Confirm that Jessica at the very least has Yandere Tendencies because that line about the Leash was Definitely giving off Yandere Vibes. Isolde is very much a Beauty Queen in her own right, just like Blonney, Semmelweis, Vila, Eternity and plenty of the Ladies of Reverse, sadly I'm not well Versed in all of them so I usually have to look at the Fandoms and Wikis for the List of Characters LMAO! I am supposed to be Taking Isolde out on a Date Tomorrow night at around 8 pm, so we'll see how things go. Just bear in mind that Psychology was being Established by Sigmund Freud around Isolde's Time, so that's the main thing with everything going on with her and Not Entirely as the Stereotypical Sexist Norms that can with them. There were Guys that were referred to as Hysterical just as well as Women, but just like with Autism for Guys, It's Just Quicker to "Identify in Women as they don't behave like a Woman for the Time would've behaved". Let me know what you think about this and I'll catch you in your next video Girl!
Please, keep doing Reverse lore videos. This game has too much lore for me to follow D: Also, spoiler: Isolde's story is scary because, after everything, she ends up in the exactly same place that she ran away all the time: archieved in the St. Pavlov Institute, which means, without freedom from her thoughts and from the society. In the end, the ones that harmed her win. Also, why does Tuesday UTTU cover says she was SEALED at St. Pavlov Institute? Did she try to hurt Vertin or her friends or what?
I knew I would love the game when I started playing on the 28th of October last year, but what sold me more was the Green Lake event. Which tickled my horror nerd bone something fierce Though none of the characters outright terrify or scare me, Tuesday and Her baby’s boss fight did give me the heebie jeebies
I currently have 4 Insight III characters, Joe, Voyager, Getian and 6. They're my favorite and hopefully Voyager will get better buff since in lore she's literally an Eldritch Cthulhu in the game.
Masterpiece is correct! There is a lot of subtlety, all over the game, that will suddenly hit you like a truck, when you realize the connections. You showed it of very well, with this video. (Oh, and the music is simply astonishing)
The character that introduced me to Reverse:1999 was Cristallo but made me stay for the long run was Tooth Fairy (sadly i didn't got her) neither the last one of the other characters I found creepy is Necrologist tho I see her as a sweet girl
A creepy thing about Rabies is that he was a doctor trying to cure Rabies(the disease.). He apparently succeed by making a deal with Rabies(Again, the disease), which mean in the universe of 1999, Rabies(the disease) is a sentient being that can communicate with humans. What other diseases are actually some sort of being that toys with humans?
Balloon Party may be creepy but as long as you're not an abusive parent she's a healer first and foremost and in a tragic interpretation it could just simply be that her miraculous revival didn't fully 'cure' her. She was running a high fever and deprived from oxygen to the brain from her 'death' might have actually caused permanent brain damage resulting into creepy-esq mannerisms and excessive childlike behavior.
For me, the disturbing character in reverse is.. Matilda... I love her, I like her story and character, but her obsession with Sonetto is what makes me feel ambiguous emotions. Based on what I know about stalking and manic obsession, I'm worried that it could turn into something very bad over time...
One of my best characters is Click. Just think about it: a ghost of military reporter who have chosen death over losing a good photoshot. He is just... Cool. In his story. (But my Lilya still owns my heart)
fun fact about the twins: in one of horropedia's voicelines, he thought that they were just very skilled at acting but then he found out that they're being fr and he ended up wanting to move rooms (since their room is next to his) (he got creeped out)
I blame Disney with giving people a positive perspective on fairies. Disney tended to do this with many of their older stories. Hercules 10 labors were more of a form of atonement of some of his past deeds. Let's just say the original Tinkerbell took Peter Pan in for her own selfish reasons. The more you know about fairies the more you come to accept that maybe its a good thing they don't exist. They essentially look innocent and harmless, but are anything but that. Imagine a child that is capable of committing the most horrific of crimes imaginable, but never realize what they are doing is bad. Kind of similar as being erratic like Isolde, but in a more complete and innocent nature, with a lot more magical power because they are more in tune with nature. Their only real weakness seemed to be iron, which I think reflects mankind being able to manipulate nature to their own benefit. People would carry iron to keep them away. Which is where horseshoes were believed to bring good luck. So as we got into the industrial revolution fairies kind of perished.
Considering they're few Russian characters in the game that won't shock me. Although that's cooler idea a character solely based from Rasputin (or Rasputin himself 😂)
@@unknownweirdo6566He screams Arcanist the fact the legend says the communist party tried to kill him so many times and failed to do so until one last time
I just finished playing the sixth main chapter, e lucevan le stelle. With that said, i think that Isolde is the gayest character in this game. my brother in Christ, I've used to think that Jessica was this game gaylord, but now i see that Isolde is the real homotron 3000.

If you're wondering whether Tuesday is her first or last name, the answer is yes. She filled out the job application under the name "Tuesday Tuesday."
That's incredible
it's all but outright stated that x is a hitman
like I'm pretty sure in one of his stories, it's implied that he killed someone at his orphanage
(Spoilers for his anecdote)
He used a Goldberg machine to kill a famous businessman who was going to inflate the prices of his community.
Tbh I am surprised that almost like 80% of the players doesn't know he's a hitman, actually dangerous and morally grey😭
@@notlaxolotl8848 yep! his anecdote
he sets up a goldberg machine that activated upon sonetto casting an arcane ability
he's scary and morally grey and also my main
I still remember your description on the Twins Sleep in your roommate tier list ("STAY OUT OF MY HOUSE").
THAT STATEMENT STILL STANDS NOW MORE THAN EVER 👯♀️
Isolde segment made me tear up😢 such an unforgettable experience. Would love BP to explore more deeper themes and cultures like 1.7.
I mean they definitely did in 2.1, it's just more subtle.
I absolutely LOVE Balloon Party’s voice delivery
the fact she 17 but kept body of a 8yrs old body which she die
Very well versed explanation, love your dedication to read through the lore but i think Arcana is the scariest of all lol
The thing about Arcana is that she seems weird and then you see her talk. You realized that she's only something vaguely shape like a human
I believe it's part of her idle line:
"--You just placed me here, another doll in your display case. Are we all your little dolls?"
Implying that she's somewhat aware that she's just one of many character that we, as player, collect in a game.
I just did the story and I'll say one thing: thank you reverse for the nightmares i will have
And after seeing this video I will definitely have nightmares
The living ladies of the spirit type faction are all quite insane but are all so beautiful, and I'm starting to notice a pattern of the limited spirit type ladies being so ship-able with plant type ladies and I love their dynamics so much
Like how the characters who have guns are ALL Plant afflatus for some reason 😂
@@JayceCH.until willow atleast
Tennant has a gun too but she's shippable with many characters XD@@JayceCH.
I feel like X would've been great to add in here! I'm just gonna copy and paste a reply I made to someone else suggesting X as well.
Actually from my perspective he doesn’t kill out of solely being annoyed. I’ve looked at him a little too much and I feel that his murders have often tied with children being involved. In the anecdote on the way to the Pharmacy that the man they need to pick up is at they see a huge group of protesters outside the place. ty for reading me yapping (if you did)
Balloon party is the only character who scares me in r1999 😭 it’s a poor child ik but the voice and viscera balloons are scary
I love how much easter eggs this game has 😂
I love Click! He's definitely the sweetest boy! I especially love this one voice line he has! Its literally a meme lmao!😂💙
It starts off with him seeing a cat and a woman arguing, then proceeds to say 'it just seems not into vegetables' (the cat) It took me a while to see that its a meme but its so funny, lmao how they sneek so many easter eggs 😂 (funny how I say that and not actually know if they include a lot) its that one meme, one located at a fancy restaurant, with a woman pointing at the cat in its seat.
I absolutely love your reverse 1999 content, it's what got me into the game :)
very excited to watch this
Ahhh thank you so much!! 🥺💖
The Fool is my absolute favorite character! I love jester characters so they’re low key the reason why I started playing the game. I can definitely tell how they can be spooky and I love that/gen Also, fun fact, The Fool doesn’t have a canon gender :)
I love that this character has multiple non-binary characters, usually I’m just looking for scraps I can headcannon. But Bluepoch said “you may feast”
Hopefully you can do this type of video more in the future!
i really like your r1999 content :) thank you for the video
Thanks for watching! 😊✨that means a lot, I’m glad you enjoy!!
Pretty sure Voyager is a kind character unless you interrupt her while she's performing
Honestly, these three aren't playable but they're still incredibly terrifying in my opinion: Arcana, Ms. Grace, and Ms. Kimberly
Big on Arcana, that woman TERRIFIES ME TO MY CORE
After all the creepy characters that they kept releasing, no one can match Arcana, and she is not the "Oh ma ga, she is so hot" creepy, I just straightly hate her 😭 also the event "lowkey connected to the main story for the 2nd time" story, i cant believe i got jumpscared by a simple eye on the key hole 😭
The eye jumpscare got me too 😂
Idk, Grace is giving Arcana some competition rn
@ she’s serving for sure
Halloween in December let’s gooooo
Tooth Fairy was the one that got me to start playing Reverse 1999.
The scariest charcters are the ones you lose the 50 50 too
I am only a minute in and I am sold I love spooky crap and weird characters. Gacha games these days are really going all out with characters, love it.
OMG TOOTH FAIRY TWINSIES!!! I also joined because of Tooth Fairy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This video was supported by Horropedia
Please, keep doing Reverse lore videos. This game has too much lore for me to follow D:
Also, spoiler:
Isolde's story is scary because, after everything, she ends up in the exactly same place that she ran away all the time: archieved in the St. Pavlov Institute, which means, without freedom from her thoughts and from the society. In the end, the ones that harmed her win.
Also, why does Tuesday UTTU cover says she was SEALED at St. Pavlov Institute? Did she try to hurt Vertin or her friends or what?
Twins Sleep are my adopted kids; I love those little weirdos. Just no pets.
I got the game when it first came out because the characters looked so different and weird
I love this freaking update so much. Tuesday is the absolute best
The most scariest character is A knight he is French
Honestly, leaving Isolde on your main menu and suddenly hearing someone humming or singing is creepy at night.
For some reason, onion just..
No.😵💫
She is based on the satire US newspaper The Onion.
I knew I would love the game when I started playing on the 28th of October last year, but what sold me more was the Green Lake event. Which tickled my horror nerd bone something fierce
Though none of the characters outright terrify or scare me, Tuesday and Her baby’s boss fight did give me the heebie jeebies
I agree with Discord person, Voyager is literally cosmic horror disguised as a waifu
I currently have 4 Insight III characters, Joe, Voyager, Getian and 6. They're my favorite and hopefully Voyager will get better buff since in lore she's literally an Eldritch Cthulhu in the game.
Isolde, Tuesday, Anjo Nala all together in a team 😱
The ultimate debuff team
Masterpiece is correct!
There is a lot of subtlety, all over the game, that will suddenly hit you like a truck, when you realize the connections.
You showed it of very well, with this video.
(Oh, and the music is simply astonishing)
Some chapters feel like Bloodborne, Fallout or GTA with creepy vibes but turn based RPG.
Vouching for R99 as an amazingly well storied game and mainly play for that.
Click, my boy!!!
If Isolde wasn't a part of R1999 ... TTT would be my number one. Super creepy.
Balloon Party may be creepy but as long as you're not an abusive parent she's a healer first and foremost and in a tragic interpretation it could just simply be that her miraculous revival didn't fully 'cure' her. She was running a high fever and deprived from oxygen to the brain from her 'death' might have actually caused permanent brain damage resulting into creepy-esq mannerisms and excessive childlike behavior.
the scariest is ofcourse
appel
For me, the disturbing character in reverse is.. Matilda...
I love her, I like her story and character, but her obsession with Sonetto is what makes me feel ambiguous emotions. Based on what I know about stalking and manic obsession, I'm worried that it could turn into something very bad over time...
Oh so that's why balloon party heals also give a counter.. never thought of that ability tie to her lore
I hope we get more creepy guys soon the spooky updates are always so fun
One of my best characters is Click. Just think about it: a ghost of military reporter who have chosen death over losing a good photoshot. He is just... Cool. In his story. (But my Lilya still owns my heart)
Arcana is a bit creepy but she's scary in a lot more than just having unnatural presence
it feels like im sitting around a campfire... listening to ghost stories 😳

fun fact about the twins: in one of horropedia's voicelines, he thought that they were just very skilled at acting but then he found out that they're being fr and he ended up wanting to move rooms (since their room is next to his) (he got creeped out)
I still cant get behind tooth fairy killing innocent fairies. Its so disturbing.
So as we got into the industrial revolution fairies kind of perished.
creepiest character is lilya obviously.......... i scream in terror whenever i get her on my wish screen
loralei will become a six star, they did it with sothoby
Now, are you gonna do one on wholesome characters? Please
Still can enjoy spooky stuff even in December 🙂👍
But as long as is something from the mental state then physical state 🤷♀️
One of the appeals of the game is it's cast of creepy weirdos
Have a good day everyone
I pulled only 10x on Tuesday banner. And luckily got Barbara. But not trying any further. Tuesday creeps me out so much. -_-
TTT is the reason why I played the game
Jessica = yandeer
This is why its amazing
I wouldn't be surprised if Rasputin is added in the game, ngl he looks creepy
Considering they're few Russian characters in the game that won't shock me. Although that's cooler idea a character solely based from Rasputin (or Rasputin himself 😂)
