I've always been a fan of DJI Osmo mobiles but I gotta say they outdid themselves here on the OM5! I like how portable and travel-friendly this gimbal is!

I’ve only recently realized the power of using my iPhone for those clutch shots when doing run and gun filmmaking. I picked the om 5 up recently and am so excited to start using it!
On the iPhone wide angle, does the camera catch the gimbal in the corner. The OM3 does, and this looks like it sticks out more from the back of the phone
I just got mine and using an iphone 13 pro max with a case. it fits fine, however I wish the gimbal had a little higher weight capacity, perhaps 400g to allow the use of a lens.

What I'm mainly trying to find out is how well it would work with moment addon lenses... I have a whole suite and I'm concerned the added weight may stop it working. I really want to add the iPhone to my toolkit for portability instead of lugging my gear everywhere and my Ronin SC seems to struggle with the iPhone even though it's lighter than my mirrorless camera.. Have you tested the OM5 with any lenses?
I haven't but honestly, I think it would handle most used with them. It's a pretty powerful beast. Maybe not with super high charged running or whatever, but general use it should be fine with the moment lenses

Hi, how's the motor of this small gimbal compare to previous version? It can handle the weight of larger phone like Samsung s20 plus or iPhone 12ProMax?
Do you have the info how strong is 1/4"mount? Is it strong enough to use on bike and not smooth road? If there is a metal base under the plastic then it may be good. I tried Zhiun Smooth 4 and it broke on third or fourth bump.

I filmed most of what I shot in 4k60, with the iPhone. My guess it shouldn't be an issue in the app for Samsung also. Worst case, you don't use the app to shoot and just use the Samsung camera

I bought an OM5, terrible gimbal, Bluetooth issues constantly, won't work at all without crappy mimo app, stability is terrible all glitchy, avoid this one.

Yep I think that’s fair too. It’s an upgrade, but if your OM4 still works well, might as well stick with it

It can, but if you're aware of it, you can easily manage around it. I would say 95% of the time, it won't be an issue

agreed. Slightly bigger motors would allow for some true mobile filmmaking with lenses and filters.

The battery life is actually pretty good IMO. But I just checked, and it does charge while in use, so that's a nice feature!

I don’t think you’d be able to run both programs at the same time. But I haven’t tested that either. I guessing you mean for the tracking part?

Will iPhone 13 Pro Max work? As the actual limit is 230g but iPhone 13 Pro Max is 238g. Can you please test it out or answer this question?
It's not compatible. It will work, but you may run into some issues long-term. The limit is like 234g +/- 60g. so you have like 294g.

I used a iPhone 12 pro max for the whole of this review (with a case on for parts too). Handled it super smoothly

I wouldn't say that. It works well with portrait style since phones inherently are portrait in design, but it works well in landscape as well.

Really a bad Gimbal....only good for Apple iPhone. If you are an android user you will be a looser
Its garbage, when you are using android or you dont want to use the garbage dji software for your camera
