i have been following you since the very beginning, and it helped me out in a great way !! I'm a successful wedding Cinematographer now. thank you Full time Film Makers & Tomorrow's Film Makers.
Great Tips. Amazing visuals. ...i Personally go with Sony A7SIII + 24-70 f2.8 and Weebill-S Gimbal. It is so light weight compared to DJI and still strong enough for the heavy lenses.
I'm saying this as someone who's experienced in making wedding videos. These tips from Jake are tremendously educational and helpful. I saw a big leap in my films compared to like 2020 when I started up again solo.
This is a solid tip! I'd just add that you need to make sure there aren't things like running water in the background or a lot of hair movement or it'll look funky.
Parker/Jake, I’m a bit late to the party here but I wanted to thank you for making this film, very helpful. I don’t know if you would have time for a question, if not I understand. In this example that you have posted here, how are you generally handling the focus for your camera while shooting? Are you allowing the camera to auto focus, are you using the focus wheel on the RS2 handle or perhaps some other method? Thank you if you get a chance to reply.
Hi Mark! I dont know exactly what they did, but I'm almost positive hes using auto focus. I use the sony A7iii and on First on tab 1, page 5/14, make sure you focus mode is continuous AF, then Balanced emphasis, then balanced emphasis again, then below that i have mine set to "zone."... On tab 1 page 6/14, on "Face/ Eye AF settings" make sure "Face Eye Prty in AF" is set to on, then also below that set to human. And I have my AF Track Sens set to 3... On Tab 1 page 14/14 make sure "Regist. Faces Priority" is set to on. I hope this helps!!!! I saw a really good video on focus settings so you can play around with it, if i can find it I will comment the link below.
That was very cool! Thank you for sharing 🙂 I want to start creating better quality videos, predominantly music videos at present, but I love creating!

The RS2 is less than 100grams heavier and can handle significantly heavier lenses and setups.

A good tip for the shallow pull is to start in focus then pull out. Then I just reverse the clip in post. This was a great video thanks!!
