How to make a dash cap for your Datsun 521, out of wood?

Hey there, kudos for you for trying to do this yourself. So much more pride when you tackle a project on your beloved Datsun & through hard work & tenacity, you figure something out & share it. sure, maybe it's not "perfect" & maybe it took you a dozen trips to the hardware store where you spent a small fortune hoping one of the things you grabbed will help you out...AND then you take the time to post it, too? I just installed a 60's metal 520 dash cap into my '70 521 but I'm going to experiment with the old foam template. A bunch of old school pictures of family, friends & cars, a sticker or cartoon collage or pin striping color combos to experiment with & have fun.

@MsCheapface Thanks for the kind words! I agree. "I'd rather loose a race in a car I built than win in a car I bought" right? How well did the 520 dash fit? Are you thinking like a sticker bomb type of look?
