  • Why? Because I wanted to see it for myself. Lol! Also...TAfter the burn, there was a lightweight mass left over in the stove. Google explained that it was not dross. The aluminum in the beer can melted away at 1220 degrees which is a lower melting temperature than the plastic coatings and print. So they were left behind. Amazing!

      My dad's shed burnt down and his 4 wheeler was inside. The engine was a blob of aluminum with a spark plug and a muffler after the fire.

    👍👍👍
    Watching a Wood Fire going from an Ember to a Full Burn while the lawn was getting a haircut and now, Aluminium melting.
    Beats watching water come to a boil anytime 😁.
    On a more serious note, a good demonstration as to why it is NOT a good idea to 'dry boil' an aluminium pot .. and in the previous Post, to NEVER take a supposedly extinguished fire for granted that it is actually done and dusted.
    Thanks for that David .. always a Lesson or two in there somewhere .. take care ..

      I’ve had people ask me if they could make my 3qt Stainless hobo stove, but, out of an aluminum pot.

    Hmm. Lesson: don't try to make char cloth in an aluminum beer can!
    The aluminum melting doesn't surprise me, but the survival of the paint and plastic does! Nice demo.

      Me too. When it said that the aluminum melted and ran away from the the coatings, I thought about the section of video were a breeze caused the fire to flare up and the can collapsed out of sight… Maybe it was actually an empty shell of plastic and print that had collapsed out of sight.

    Can you fire roll hair, fur, or feathers as a replacement for the cotton? Yes cyanide smoke, but does it make fire?
    I'm enjoying your videos, and I appreciate your pursuit of these technologies. Thanks for sharing.👍👍

      Everything logical has already been tried. See my fire roll playlist. The items mentioned are protein based and will not fire roll. They tend to melt instead of ember.

    Why'd you open the can and drink the beer first?

    • @DavidWestBgood2ppl
      @DavidWestBgood2ppl  8 місяців тому

      I’ve always hated the bitter taste of beer. The only time I ever drink is when I sip some Muscadine wine for indigestion… probably a couple of years ago, now.

      @DavidWestBgood2ppl Moscato is a little sweet for me, and I disdain Lite, recycle, and prefer glass. So, that wasn't my can in your firey furnace ... If beer's so bitter you had a perfect reason to burn the whole thing, though it may have put a quench on your celebration .... Have you thought about the challenge of the corner market Fireball Cinnamon Whisky challenge? It's 33% alcohol, some whiskey, sugar and perhaps not enough liquid to put a damper on the day. 🤪
