I agree with Sara, I been single for years and half who approach me are married men who looking 2 wife. Last time a brother rejected me because we are same age and he looking someone younger 😭 ( other things he didn't tell me that I figure out with family friend who he approach to found someone). Those singles streets are very rough. And I agree with him on spending better quality items when you get older.

The single streets can be rough lol but find the beauty in it and enjoy it while you still can. God willing, you’ll find the perfect one that is meant for you soon!! 🩷

    02:20 I laughed too hard 😂
That list is interesting, my list consists of qualities and characteristics I also carry therefore that’s what makes it nonnegotiable. Personally I think your future spouse should compliment you not complete you.
ALSO, Sara hit it on the nail about men picking girls who fit the mold of attraction and peace, women look for security and loyalty. At least from what I’ve notice lol

I feel like women settle in the sense that they’re willing to lower their standards, even though guys will ‘settle’ if a girl ticks off XYZ, they’re still holding the characteristics they’re looking for to a standard 🙏

Men don’t settle lol. Settling and compromising are not the same. Men may compromise with their partners but if a woman does not have a specific quality, they may never approach her. Women however tend to do both at much higher rates than men. It comes from our cultural background of what we see as valuable in men vs men and what they see as valuable in women. Many women across the world get told we’ll just be patient or let go of xyz expectation because at the end of the day “he is a man”. Men don’t have that same mindset or at least aren’t expected to. For that reason I think women almost always tend to settle more than men do for sure.

Ive seen a lot of women marry a poor, mean, abusive man JUST because they feel like they are getting 'old' and wont find anyone else.

i think manipulation and persuasion are two different things. i get the point Amir’s trying to make towards the end of the podcast, but i don’t think all those examples were manipulation per se. like i think we’re inherently taught to survive using persuasion, but manipulation would mean that there’s ill intent right? idk but loved the podcast this week haha can’t wait for more!!
