YAY i finally got 100th like on something! And yes. It is really difficult. A lot of the time you feel very alone and emotional when going through a tic attack or period where you have a lot of tics. I have a really amazing friend though who stays with me when I'm going through that. She asks me if I'm okay and holds my hand, and it feels really nice to just have somebody with me that cares about me. She also has helped me before with social issues and understanding how people feel about me (that's something I've always been really worried about, because I have social anxiety and autism as well). It's a lot easier with somebody by your side who cares about you and who helps you.

It was honestly my first time hearing about tics and also my first time to see what tics actually look like. the fact that you have to be in an empty room so you can control yourself and fight it. it must be really hard for you to deal with this every single day but thank you so much for posting and showing the society about disabled people’s daily life struggles

I'm really happy to hear about the support from your friend. And I feel pleased that there are arrangements for you to do your exams even during the difficult days.
Wow it's almost like the brain is glitching out so much. These videos are interesting to observe and understand how the human body works in certain situations. This is my first video seeing how Tourette's syndrome works and it was very interesting. Thank you.

My girlfriend has Tourettes too and I find it really interesting how the pitch curve for your "I don't like you" tic is exactly the same as for her "I hate you" one. (Though she only generally gets "I hate you" with people she likes rather than when she's on her own. So sometimes I reply to it with "love you too honey 😊"; sometimes responding to them can help disrupt the flow and break her out of it.) I've recently been getting her to try using my spare wheelchair for her pain, balance, and yeah for bad tic days. Thankfully she already knew some other ppl with Tourettes who used a wheelchair for it, but was still on the "but I'm not -that- bad" train until she met me in my chair.
I'm so sorry you have to deal with this! I hope none of the tics hurt you, like one of mine used to, just know it'll be done after and you've got your amazing friends supporting you
I don’t have attacks to often but when I do there always so scary and hard to deal with, thank you so much Zarah for posting these verry vulnerable moments as it really lets others have a view into how hard life is living with TS/Tics

Love you!
Zara Beth thank you for sharing these things with us, I remember the first video I watched from your channel is the one with seizures and fainting in class, I didn't know about absence seizures and such, thank you for teaching me, others, and I'm glad you have a great friend that can help you when needed, and I understand that your life might be a bit hard with your tics and things like these, but don't worry, we are all here to support you! 💕
I know exactly how this feels and it’s horrible, especially the big tics that are very tiring very quickly. My friend, the person I trust the most in the world and that I love so much, tries to help me as much as possible and get me the quiet I need because while I’m not diagnosed yet, my tic attacks can get bad. Lots of love to you, Zara, I wish you all the best🫶🏻

Seeing you being able to go through college and stuff makes with tics makes me feel like me with my disorders like autism and trichotillomania and many more you make me feel like I can do it and I always was scared of growing up because of my disorders

Wow. Thank you for sharing!. I can't imagine how unpleasant it must have been to go through. I recently watched your video on if tics are painful. I would def attach this video in the cards or description or something. Wow, you are strong and brave
I feel ya! ❤ i only have one tic but it definitely limits my breathing and makes it hard to swallow food and drinks. It also makes me constantly interrupt myself in conversations so I often can’t finish sentences or simply get too tired and stop talking altogether . I see you girl! ❤ you’re so cool for just carrying on with your studies and stuff despite your tics etc. You seem like such a cool person as well! 🎉❤ and yea it’s interesting how no day is like the other - I can go a couple of days sometimes hardly noticing my tics (or not being bothered by them/not having them) but then I’ll get a whole week filled with tics to the point where I literally can’t breathe. And then I wake up and it’s just not there. Next day it’s back again. So strange 😅

You're an amazing woman Zara thank you for the insight. I used to have one tic, I would constantly snap my head backwards to crack it and I would doit anywhere anytime.
I had a tic attack earlier this week when we were doing I ready testing (a dignostic to show what you know and what you need to work on) So I usually go to the office and take my test in a quiet room after my tic attack.
I don't have tourette's but I am neurodiverse. I have ADHD and Autism and a rare genetic disorder called FHH I have a college exam in a few days. And already is really effecting me mentally. I'm glad you managed to get the support you needed from your college. Sometimes it can be really hard to get people to understand that your not asking extra questions due to a lack of effort or trying but actually your trying constantly to hide a learning difficulty.

In the past year, my Tourettes has gotten so severe that I can struggle to walk due to the constant twitching, and I have nearly gotten into car accidents after having a tic episode behind the wheel. My vocal tics used to be pretty quiet, but now there loud and obnoxious. I've tried changing my medication, but nothing seems to work. It's painful. I'm constantly sore. I have a very special place in my heart for others with Tourette’s, my cousin has it and was made fun of growing up for his serious uncontrollable tics and it would break my heart as a child watching others make fun of him when he was already struggling to just exist and get through the day. I got sent to the office several times as a child for punching others for bullying my precious little cousin lol… nothing angered me more than the bullies. To this day he’s one of the best and kindest people I know. Be kind guys. Even if you don’t understand it or can’t relate to it, be kind. These people are so beautiful and they may respond differently at times than others but they are just like the rest of us. Their daily lives are so much harder than you’ll ever know. Be grateful you don’t have to know what it’s like. But be respectful, always. Be accommodating with no judgements. Have a heart. Have compassion. Be supportive. Thank you Zara for sharing this with the world. ❤
Ita really brave of you to post stuf like this on the internet cuz people can be so crul and mean! Im sorry you have to go through this but you handle it like a champ! Love you!!❤❤
Oh man, that sounds hard! I know Tourette's can act up when nervous, but I've never seen one this bad. I had a student with Tourette's once but it was only noticeable one time during our entire semester and that lasted maybe a millisecond. She didn't end up needing accommodations but made sure to approach me at the beginning of the semester to make sure I was aware. A question for you though, can you feel the tics coming or does it typically take you by surprise? I see you're wearing a badge and I guess that reminded me of the days I worked in a lab and it just occurred to me that working in a lab would literally be unsafe if you have zero warning before your tics. I can imagine being a doctor would also be tricky.
for the doctor thing, it depends on the person :) socialising as a doctor in formal settings would be difficult i'd imagine, but i know people who are tattoo artists and doctors etc who do have tourettes! concentration can make tics lessen and go away so doing surgery for example could actually focus so much the tics go away for some people but for me, no haha i definitely couldn't! and with feeling the tics coming, i can a lot of the time feel a physical feeling in the body part the tic will be in (just beforehand) and if it's a vocal tic, in my throat. but there are also tics which just come from "nowhere" and completely surprise me. i don't know what i say before it comes out, even if i feel it coming as a physical feeling
I don’t know what it’s like to have in voluntary movements like that, but I do have to say it’s nice to know that verbal tics are seemingly affected by what content one consumes given that one of them seemed to be based off of that one meme that goes “I like you, have a cupcake! I like you have a cupcake!…..eeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh- I like you, have a cupcake!” But memes aside this doesn’t seem fun and I wish there was a way for you to get better. Thank you for posting about your experience with these things and educating people like me!
I have to say you are awesome I’m on the autism spectrum my self and I know that things can be hard but seeing you overcome you tics is amazing PS your cute
0:23 I don’t have Tourette’s but I do get tics and I have this exact same tic and sometimes once one starts it just keeps young and going and it’s kind of scary I also have one where I start to shudder kind of because it feels weird in my chest idk lol.
This happens to me and it’s really painful cause my neck flings forward and backwards and it rlly hurts and the sad thing is that none of my teachers know I have Tourette’s so they can’t help me if they don’t know and the worst part is that I’m young to be dealing with this ( diagnosed at 9 years old / two years ago) and I have jumping tics since I was 7 wich really annoys me and sometimes I hit myself really hard and my friend in maths started making fun of me so she started hitting herself while laughing and that really took a toll on me so I didn’t go to school for 2 days cause I was scared to be made fun off again. 😢
Stay brave and know that the ones who make fun have no idea what it is like to be you. They will learn as they grow too. You just keep being awesome you and talk to others that do understand. No more hiding as we all have struggles and need support. Talk to your parents, counselor or a trusted teacher and say how you feel for true. There is help and people do care!
I have tics we don’t know the cause, sometimes watching your content can trigger them (no hate im fully aware that im doing it to myself) I really love your channel and I love how you teach and educate thanks for that Zara!
Question: I know loud noises can trigger tics. So when there is a lot of music, like at parties or maybe at concerts, or when you play an instrument yourself, does it trigger your tics?
I don't have tourette's, but I have autism and combined adhd, and I have a few tics, and I also totally get not being able to deal with the silence of a classroom. I have often found that if it's either too quiet or there's too much noise, I need to listen to music or I just can't concentrate, I've also found that if I listen to the same style of music for long enough it starts to become part of the problem, so I end up needing to find different music to listen to, this has lead my taste in music to expand exponentially especially when I was in highschool. I've found that usually I'll have one or two tics at a time, though the longest lasting tic I've had is cracking my knuckles, which I've been doing now for a few years, normally my tics seem to switch out every few months.
I watch your videos knowing full well they make my tics worse (I have mild tics nothing like what you have to deal with it’s just twitching mostly in my hand, extra blinking or shivering) while watching this I was twitching a lot but I love your videos so I watch them even though they make me twitch. Btw your outfit and aesthetic look so cute (this took like four minutes too write bc I kept blinking or twitching 😭😭😭) have a nice day I wanted to add something because I just noticed it one of your tics kinda sounds like me when I’m having and asthma attack also my tics have gotten a lot better so I was actually able to watch this with little to no tics today 🎉 anyway have a nice day
Ah man, it must be hard dealing with tics/tic attacks, they sound absolutely exhausting. Love you Zara! :)

I hope your ok Zara ❤
She’s Not Ok She Has Tourette’s
don't think too much don't be angry and always stay happy this is my advice and Zara are you taking medicine
Ita really brave of you to post stuf like this on the internet cuz people can be so crul and mean! Im sorry you have to go through this but you handle it like a champ! Love you!!❤❤
I'm so sorry, this has to be so hard for you not controlling whatever you do
You are very brave zara ....❤ loads of love from India.
I can imagine being a doctor would also be tricky.
for the doctor thing, it depends on the person :)
socialising as a doctor in formal settings would be difficult i'd imagine, but i know people who are tattoo artists and doctors etc who do have tourettes! concentration can make tics lessen and go away so doing surgery for example could actually focus so much the tics go away for some people
but for me, no haha i definitely couldn't!
and with feeling the tics coming, i can a lot of the time feel a physical feeling in the body part the tic will be in (just beforehand) and if it's a vocal tic, in my throat. but there are also tics which just come from "nowhere" and completely surprise me. i don't know what i say before it comes out, even if i feel it coming as a physical feeling
You are a great warrior!
Happy new year Zara 🎉🎊🥳
I can’t imagine nor do I dare want to Bless Your Heart it does look exhausting and frustrating
I know Tourette for the first time in my life from your channel. Thanks for your speaking up and raising awareness.
I have to say you are awesome I’m on the autism spectrum my self and I know that things can be hard but seeing you overcome you tics is amazing PS your cute
Feel so sorry you have to go through this:(
0:23 I don’t have Tourette’s but I do get tics and I have this exact same tic and sometimes once one starts it just keeps young and going and it’s kind of scary I also have one where I start to shudder kind of because it feels weird in my chest idk lol.
Hi from North Carolina. You are so beautiful. I love what you do. I love watching your videos. Happy New Year. ❤️
I just wanted to say it must be really hard I just want to say your doing so good 😊😊
Love ya be safe!❤
It's the "I don't like u have a cupcake"😂😂❤❤
Wish you all the best!
And please let your parents speak with your teachers, they need to know whats going on with you. Stay strong!
You are awesome Zara😊
I have tics we don’t know the cause, sometimes watching your content can trigger them (no hate im fully aware that im doing it to myself) I really love your channel and I love how you teach and educate thanks for that Zara!
Question: I know loud noises can trigger tics. So when there is a lot of music, like at parties or maybe at concerts, or when you play an instrument yourself, does it trigger your tics?
I can’t answer for the other things, but playing an instrument uses specific parts of the brain that lessen and stop tics while you play.
THanks!@@reunitingetal1327
"I really like you fuck off" getting mixed signals here 😅 Also love the 🤘as a tick😂. The breathing one is scary tho😢
I've found that usually I'll have one or two tics at a time, though the longest lasting tic I've had is cracking my knuckles, which I've been doing now for a few years, normally my tics seem to switch out every few months.
this must be so difficult to deal with. props to all who go thru their body’s disorders and illnesses. 🙏🏼🙌🏼🥳
Very brave
Don’t worry about what other people think.
Everything's alright
Everything will be better, always
I hope you find your inner peace sooner
?
I watch your videos knowing full well they make my tics worse (I have mild tics nothing like what you have to deal with it’s just twitching mostly in my hand, extra blinking or shivering) while watching this I was twitching a lot but I love your videos so I watch them even though they make me twitch. Btw your outfit and aesthetic look so cute (this took like four minutes too write bc I kept blinking or twitching 😭😭😭) have a nice day I wanted to add something because I just noticed it one of your tics kinda sounds like me when I’m having and asthma attack also my tics have gotten a lot better so I was actually able to watch this with little to no tics today 🎉 anyway have a nice day
I love your videos 💗💗I love the ' I don't like you have a cupcake ' 💗💗
The way 1 of the tics was "i dont like you, have a cupcake!"
I LOVE YOU Q: what is your worst tic you hate❤❤❤
Oh god hun…it’s really bad this time😢❤
I have had motor tics for months now but about 3 days ago I got vocal tics and they are so hard to deal with.
