I think the bambu lab p1p printer at that price points is a much better deal for people with 3d printing experience or willing to dive in a little more than printing premade objects off the store.
Just spend the extra $$ and get the Bambu X1 Carbon. That printer is by far the best I've used. And I've used from $250 Enders, to $1000 Prusa's to $13000 BCN3D and more. The X1 carbon is the only printer I'd recommend. Anker's is good, just doesn't have the same "bang for buck" as the X1. Or even the P1P.
As a P1P user, its hard for me to recommend AnkerMake printer given it's $100 more expansive and less features then P1P, I might even recommend getting the new Creality K1 printer instead of AnkerMake.
I was excited about the “5x” faster claim. After seeing that it prints that bunny at that resolution in about the same time as my 3 year old Artillery Sidewinder, I’m left wondering what they’re comparing it to. If it were 5x faster than my Sidewinder, I’d be ordering one.
I don't see what this does more than other printers, for example the Prusa I3 series with Octoprint. 2 hours for such a print is completely average, them claiming it saved you 5 hours is complete nonsense, no printer would take 7 hours to print that.
Compared to the Bambu Labs X1, this Anker isn't that great. Yes, quite a bit cheaper. But if you're getting into 3d printing it isn't to save money. CoreXY and an enclosure makes a big difference.
The Bambu Labs P1P is the same price and a much better deal in my opinion. You dont nexessarly need an expensive printer . Ive been using a creality Ender 3 v2 with a couple mods for my architecture work and it been working absoluetly fine (I can aford longer less detailed prints) but if you want the best quality under 1000 euros the p1p is a great deal I think.

I have been using this unit and it's been a pleasure. There is no perfect 3D printer, but this is close to it. The recent firmware update is bonkers making this run at 500mm/s
Just bought this printer and so far so good. It was $200 off, so i figured $500 isn't too terrible to try this printer out (I have a 60 day return policy). So far though, the printer has been very reliable. We'll see if I keep it or go with a PIP, PIS, XI Carbon, but so far I'm liking this printer a lot.
The clipping of the bunny, the rattling of its parts, while jazz music plays can put anyone to sleep lol. That was relaxing. Just need a whole new channel for that lol

Any printer with Octoprint can achieve more than pretty much any built in software - for that price I'd rather go with a better printer that doesn't come with as many features out of the box (Bambu P1P, Prusa Mk3S) Looks like a good printer, but badly priced. Also not sure what's the part situations if it breaks, being able to just go grab what you need from a store when you need it is great.
Owned this printer and it was basically broke out of the box, even after their support sent out a new print head it was still broke. Ended up having to send this back. It was a pretty common issue that was reported in the Discord community. Do your research before spending the cash on this.
I understand you have a relation ship with anker but if your interested in 3d printers and have decent budget the bambu lab x1 carbon is at the top of the list for consumer 3d printers.
M5 is 2/3 the cost of the X1c for the same speeds...unless you need to print exotic or engineering materials the M5 is a much better option for most people...

The rest of the industry will catch up at some point, and what they're doing will only help to stimulate the industry and push it forward. Creality already has one coming. Others will, too. Point is, there's no place for the M5. It was simply bad timing on Anker's part. Thankfully, they're a large enough company where then should be able to pivot.

Seriously Bambu was on the right track and then they utterly shot themselves in the foot there, their discord is DEAD, and their fanboys are literally the worst part of the 3d printing community right now.

For roughly €40 more, I'd get a Prusa MK4. I still have my Prusa i3 MK3S and I would swap it for nothing. Runs smoothly out of the box. Dunno wtf is Will saying honestly. All you need is a small webcam, print it's mount, mount it to the printer's frame, set up octoprint and you're done.

In my uni course, we have access to 3d printing for our projects. But the last thing I printed for fun was a model of the dark saber I was working on. Full scale. It came out really good
besides the clean look, and speed. It doesn't really have any differences to other 3d printers lol. Still seeing those stringing. Until then I'll stick to my current setup. I don't need speed if the print quality is not that good.

Was planning to get this printer when it was 1st announce but Bambu Lab X1C too got announce shortly after and Bambu Lab P1P a few months later, Currently i own the P1P and its an amazing printer (I hope bambu lab hook you guys up soon too) AnkerMake really needs improve on their next printer if they want to compete with the leading $500 - 1000 3D printer market.
Look, I'm a big fan of Anker's power products, but this printer? It's already dead in the water. Anker looked at the previous gen printers, and tried to improve upon what already existed, as opposed to looking forward. And because this was a Kickstarter, it missed its window by about half a year. Bambulab X1 and P1P do what this printer does, and does a LOT more, and better. If you've never printed a benchy (the boat) before, that one was terrible. The X1C comes with an enclosure, auto-bed leveling with Lidar first layer check, spaghetti detection (so you don't have to check the camera), a camera, and most importantly a 4 spool AMS that works about as flawlessly as PTFE tubes will take it (and substantially better than the Prusa MMU). And because it's a core XY printer, it can obtain speeds faster than the Anker because it's the bed that moves along the Z axis, not the print head. Even the price point for the Anker has been beaten - the P1P is $100 less, and there's already a ton of mods available for the machine, like printing an enclosure. I've been through a number of printers, and the two I currently own are the X1C and the Prusa MK3s+. The only time the Prusa gets used is when I have to clean or replace something on the X1C. If you want to see a true next gen printer, that gives you most of what you've always wanted to see in a 3D printer, review the X1C or P1P.
All 3D printers can print moveable parts. It's the file, not the printer. Most will print in place without supports. The two most common ones right now are the dragon and the ghost.

I applaud Anker for trying to shed more light on 3D printing but this price ain’t it. Their pricing is two years old at this point, yes it is fast and simple, but it is also tiny and from what I have seen loud. For all the bells and whistles it has they need to drop it under 450, to stay competitive, only Prusa can keep those high price points.

Yup i have ender 3 Pro s1, i can print that in ~ 2 hours with normal speed, so 5x is definitely a lie

You should have printed the Benchy standard model as most 3D printing fans are familiar with its printing speed.
M5 can do a sub-9-minuite speedboat benchy, or around a 12 minuite normal benchy if that helps ya 😁

I think it's been out for almost 6 months.. don't quote me on that though. If you want a printer, you're better off with a Prusa or Bambulabs

I applaud Anker for trying to shed more light on 3D printing but this price ain’t it. Their pricing is two years old at this point, yes it is fast and simple, but it is also tiny and from what I have seen loud. For all the bells and whistles it has they need to drop it under 450, to stay competitive, only Prusa can keep those high price points.
