it's another "lambdadelta guarantee"!
pro tip: binah's degraded pillar can simply delete melee attacks you don't want to deal with because they need to recycle after countering the ranged hit, so you can just degraded pillar on vertical split to get rid of it easily.
that is only if you beat the roll though. in my case it's almost a given that I'm unlucky...
@@LambdadeltaYT Nope you can lose the clash and still delete the dice.. It's why this card is one of the best that binah has.
Because it's ranged you can delete the first dice of a card without taking any damage even if you lose the clash.
- seeing the cute cgs of the sephirahs when they were still alive makes by brain produce serotonin
- I like the idea of the librarians holding a bet of how many times a floor loses a fight but betting at a large scale like that requires some sort of currency. I don't know if they even use currency.
- Seeing the speed dices increase in number was scary. Is it even possible to win that one?
maybe they made up some kind of cryptocurrency, Carmencoins or something

The funny thing is ... Bina can defeat Kali solo, even BEFORE the counter-die nerf. You just really need to understand what you are doing and properly use Bina's resistances.

I'd assume you'd need health/mind hauler at least as well.
I should point out that Birdcage was BUGGED when this fight launched, and didn't immediately end the enchanted librarian's attack.
So people went with a workaround with Overcharge, having the enchanted librarian immobilise themselves when targeted, allowing you to birdcage them next scene.
Still. The eyeball chicks really make this more frustrating than it should be.

You fell for the classic blunder of "Three floors? This be easy!".
Also Binah is incredibly strong but she is far from her full Arbiter glory. Just like how The Red Mist had a super peak when she had access to like all the E.G.O.
So yeah that is why it reads "degraded" on everything and her page says "Incomplete Arbiter".

For those struggling on fighting Kali, a good counter for horizontal split is Scratch that, it's a good 30 damage if high roll, 15 on low roll, but with more strength gets you a better chance of living. However most of the time i will suggest you use Binah, her fairy is amazing for dealing with the many attacks. But something else that is weirdly effective is lots of the status effect "Feeble" is pretty good.
I concur with feeble, I like that on a lot of encounters.
Haven't even thought about something like scratch that. That's pretty smart, its use effect only comes into play when you're *using* the card, right?
@@LambdadeltaYT Yep, it's dice loss will only happen during a clash or one sided, vs a mass attack it doesn't lose any power. In fact if you have strength you can easily have about 45 attack on it.
The fact that your still using Urban Legend cards in Star of the City is hilarious to me.
Also the fact you kept staggering yourself with Big Bird's defense dice instead of just using Lullaby on the Dazzle page is just...

juding pureply from the stat of binah (90hp) this is the pre-dec21 balance adj time (and also before a boost to the SoC combat pages).
man this is the time when counter dice is at its peak, you can beat the crying children without doing anything except pressing spacebar
also you might have realized this now but binah is the only one that has the ability to prevent the dice being recycled (even if she lose the clash), and her ineffective slash stagger are pretty much against red mist's ego attack. the key to win this fight is actually fight with less people so that her card will not decrease in cost (read the condition which her page reduces cost). The hard part with binah is that you cant load any passive when you first fight kali and kali gains power equals to the amount of nugget she killed (manifested ego gives +2 to all dice, each additional nugget killed by her is another +1, so at completion you are looking for around +6~7 to all dice when you only have 1 out of 4 or 5 nugget remianing, you cant possibly win any of those clash with verbatim binah. (btw this is literally leaded dice, you hace no change of wining a 3-7 with a 3-7 if your opponent with a +6)
as of a guage on how you should cheat your way out of the library: +3 dp changes experience, +6 dp changes your life, +9 dp changes everything
but if you got her page it is the most amazing page so far (those 2 cost card are too strong to pass away), and an infinit dice on you hand couple with [redacted]'s passive that boost dice power if you are at higher speed is the most powerful murder machine you will have in the entire library.
also, next character to be received in line is the most amazing and op page you will ever have; and you will have 2 people who are affected by the seed of light coming in as a guest and the reception are lets say hard.

There are so many ways to cheese this without much thought, like Full Stop, Overcharge etc. Human wave tactic where everyone uses overcharge is hilarious.
And that's why i recommended that Roland build
Eh, never really used Roland at all. Always went Gebura + Binah, because they requiere less set up and are stupidly broken.

she's earlier than that and still in there, I didn't calculate that the timeline in vegas != actual timeline
What's interesting is, the red mist doesn't have shimmering. That means you can starve her out of light (at least in part). I guess that's why Binah has her "Degraded Lock" Page. Also, spamming protection helps keep her damage down and thus card costs up.
31:53 Summation attacks... aren't well balanced.
They need to have high rolls so they matter. But now they've become impossible to outroll when they roll high, and because they roll high, they deal a frickton of damage.
I actually remembe pitting Red Mist Gebura versus Red Mist Kali, and was down on her last legs. Used the Greater Split Vertical, it rolled the max value... but then Kali rolled 1 higher, and got the kill.
The true terror of greater split horizontal, most combat pages cant even reach the bare minimum of 31 summation at this point in the game

I'm disappointed in y'all, I watched the whole uploaded stream only to find that [18:46] is the only thing chat requested.
(If you want to know, someone literally dropped a random timestamp as a joke and said "put a sad anime girl here.")
You should learn to catch a few hours of rest when your under the weather, concentration and attention span goes down the drain when your sick/tired.
Even if you end up missing something, unless its a big major deadline the effort you put in rested up will be a lot better than if you tried slogging through it while tired.

im honestly unsure of how bad this fight really was in that version. Kali's counter dice were op as hell then, but the player's would be too, making the solo strat a lot more viable

I didn't think it would get this bad while recording and LOR is pretty hard to just take a break from, especially if you're in a fight or if I started a recording session (although that's more of a me-problem)

Well, when you said Gebura is good for soloing fight, basically Gebura has 1 anomaly card that make everythings become "Easy Mode" even 😂 the problem just, can you hold your nugget until getting that card 😂 or wanna full solo from begining to the end then need the right passive and abno card pick

don't worry too much, it was just a long day and work + streaming + recording close together back to back is just not a good mix. Usually it gets better when I play but having to bash my head against two pretty hard encounters (for me, at that time, not in general) somehow didn't help lol
