Glass engineer here!👋 that yellow contraption connected to the glass is held on by pure suction! Amazing how strong a good vacuum seal really is! That’s how we primarily lift and move smaller pieces of glass as well! Love this new format btw with the narration!!!

If you're in a work environment where earbuds/headphones are ok, then sure, listen to what you like. Cleanroom I work in those sorts of things are a no go though.

Regarding the insane power of a vacuum, I recall the story of an inventor from way back who was messing around with vacuum..
He had a cast iron sphere made, about the size of a basket ball, in 2 halves, with ( I believe), a leather gasket between the two mating surfaces, it was held together while a vacuum was drawn in it, and then it was hooked up to 2 teams of horses, with the demonstration being, that the dozen or so horses could not pull the 2 halves apart.
This was about 3 hundred years ago, and even with a pretty meager vacuum, (it wasn't a full vacuum, since the equipment used was pretty basic), there was NO WAY for the horse teams to pull it apart.
    Air pressure is amazing.
Now days I have a small, $140 vac pump which will easily remove 98% of the air from the stainless chamber when I'm doing epoxy resin work.
