Well I have succeeded keeping in my $1200 a month budget for my family of 14!

Hi I am Mommabear2many many! Mom to 14 children 12 of my children still live here at home. We have a baby due in October! Join me in my day to day life as we prepare enough food to feed a small army! Fantastic haul! So thoughtful of you to make special dessert for your Aunt’s birthday. Groceries are so expensive. I’m a part time cashier at Walmart. I unfortunately watch families struggle with their grocery bill all the time. So sad to watch them buy so many items marked down only to have to put some back because they are over their budget. The more the prices go up, the less we buy. Thank you for sharing everything with us. There is no but I like that or I will not eat or drink that. No name brands or I will not wear that. You get what we afford. Fussy is not allowed in our house.

I opened a jar of miracle whip a few days ago. The price tag was $ 1.99 and it was on SALE last week for $4+. I am glad I still have 3 on the shelf. We are empty nesters and don't need the amount of food. Praying is the best approach.

I’m currently in FL, having driven here with my daughter and grandson. We had a great time stopping along the way to see the sites so took a little longer to get here. It was hard on me physically (kidneys and back), so I’ve been resting keeping my feet elevated, enjoying my grandchildren.
Old El Paso now has tortilla bowls so I’ll be making tacos for supper.
Bonus. I saw the homestead of my great great grandparents in Muskego, WI, on my journey, where they lived before moving to Minnesota. (Norwegian immigrants) The community had cholera and many died in the 1840’s. The early homesteaders endured much, but their faith sustained them.

I so understand what you are saying I have learned how to make my spaghetti sauce biscuits and taco seasoning from scratch we have been struggling for a couple of years since I had cancer my daughter has to work now we spend about 300 a month for three of us hygene cleaning and food but God is good

I have a 20 month old and a newborn 21 days old. My newborn has been in the nicu you since birth. The struggle is real and the traveling back and forth is breaking us food comes last for us adults. Asking for any and all prayers

They had it yesterday it was $7.84 I want to say for a big container!
I found a special at McDonalds $5 a double Cheeseburger, small Fries, 4 Chicken Nuggets and a Soda which they would increase the size of for free . Great deal, right ? Yeah for me who rarely goes to McDonald's, and only has 1 person to feed. For a family of 14 a $5 meal would end up costing $70 !
You are doing an incredible job if you can feed a person for $100/ month so do not worry about what others say.
Prices differ region to region, peoples eating needs differ, some people want/ need convenience whereas others do not.

I wish I made my kids drink more water when they were younger, then the kool-aid and iced tea they did. I didn't think about this 29 years ago how much healthier they'd be now.
I was a koolaid drinker I think that is what was very common then.

Next time you shop take a freezer bag or ice chest so stuff won’t melt on your way home
I would need a bunch if I were to included all my meat. which means less seat space for bums. They surprisingly stay pretty frozen because they are all boxed together.

Oops - I have forgotten test strips, insulin and the whole test - a few times. Great package too.
Uggg. So hard. I brought the bag I bring and totally empty. But we made it hard because it’s not like you can keep back up insulin in the vehicle.
I was told a month that it’s safe to stay out of the fridge but I’m on pens.

I bought fresh broccoli today for the salad.
So it's going to be in the 90s here this weekend, it's weird because every year almost after july 4, it's like a switch turns on and all of a sudden it gets hot and stays hot. So I'm mainly doing salads that weekend, plus I'm trying to lower my bread intake more and more. So one salad I like to make is strawberries and feta and apples. I'll also throw in dried cranberries, maybe a little bacon if im not too lazy. I use a vinegarette to top it off that compliments the flavors. So basically, your own choice. Also, I do a salad with red peppers, nectarines (or peaches would probably work) dried cranberries and bacon with vinegarette ( the one I usually use is called Briannas, but they probably don't carry that in your state, so I do have a homemade one that I can share with you if you're interested) anyway, hope this gives you some extra ideas. I was thinking to if you like cobb salads where you boil eggs on top with ham and tomatoes, turkey, the works or whatever a person would want to do. I have a green goddess dressing recipe that is made with greek yogurt. I think it's lower carb. There's a little mayo used in it though, but you could switch it up. Let me know if either of these recipes sound good to you.

How does your family handle issues with the littles that don't like certain meals? I only have 3 and their likes vary so much.
If you don’t atleast try the food you will not get snack. Most of our snacks are healthy though. We have scheduled meal and snack times. They learn early to eat even if it’s not their favorite. Also not having processed food which have chemicals which are in there to hook our children. Sadly corporations do this to make more money.
Everything is expensive ! Growing your own food costs money ! At least we know that when we grow our own food, we know what is in it !

I’ve had that happen before with a scheduled video as well. I try to put up a couple videos for a couple days when I have internet access. For days when I’m on the road. I’m glad the glitches worked out!
