Fuckin' A. the song that started it all! Is Blackie wearing fuckin' tube socks?! I guess it's common knowledge that they blend so well with buzz saw blades and raw meat. This is a gem, thanks for posting this, Randy. I used to go see you guys at the Troubadour as a wide-eyed 13/14 year-old in '83/'84. Some of the best shows I've ever seen, to this day, with your smoking pipes, the naked chick being severed on the torture rack, Blackie breaking the down pillow with the strobe lights going, the flaming sign, the bloody skull, and... well, you know!

In one summer in the 80’s (in SoCal) you could see some great metal bands, sometimes several times. DIO, AC/DC, Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Motörhead, OZZY, Judas Priest, Fastway, Slayer, Accept, etc.
Then we would go see hair bands to pick up girls. If you couldn’t get laid at a poison concert, you were bound to die a Virgin.

Just like Dio, he can rock his songs live sounding exactly like how he is on his albums.

At the time, it was a bit more the exact reverse. Pro wrestlers were always aping pop culture, and metal was having a Heyday in terms of mass exposure to the mainstream

@@MARSHOMEWORLD You may be right. But I wonder if wrestlers acted like Eddie Vedder or Beyonce in the decades to come.

People in metal bands today, dress pretty boring if you ask me. Not all bands of course. Not that the style of dress makes ones ability to play music better.

And the guitarists as well. They try to play the same notes but play it differently and call it 'harmonisation'. That Dave Smith and Adrian Murray are a bunch of talentless hacks that probably like penis.
They should call in Rob Halford, the straightest man alive.
