Footwear is the first step in the plan for ascension day and utterly integral to outwitting your opponent on the board. When you enter the room in which you are going to play, it is important that the shoes you wear are completely unassuming in nature. I suggest they are a color like a muted blue, preferably with laces. They mustn't figure out the plan quite yet. Another important step is make sure the box, bag, or container you bring with your GSC models is larger enough for extra space but not noticeably so (this will be explained in due time). As you arrive, greet your victim as you normally would and call no attention to your appearance or footwear. Proceed to make small talk and set up the board normally. The ploy you will enact is during the deployment of your army. "Drop" one miniature (something small and not fragile, say a neophyte) near your container and say "Oh whoopsie-do, I dropped my model. Allow me to pick up the neophyte." They have most likely already paid you no mind as they marvel at their own army and think of how they will utterly destroy the seeming buffoon in front of them. now that you have them where you want, as you bend down to pick up the model go into your container. In the extra space you have stashed multiple extra pairs of shoes. exchange your shoes from the muted blue color to another pair that is grey. Very similar and almost unnoticeable if you have practiced as the 4 armed emperor has demanded. Each turn, repeat this process but become more and more boisterous in the shoes you are exchanging. From gray laced shoe to a brown with no laces at all. Then to a pair of boots, then steel toed shoes, then finish the rouse with a pair of 18 inch long red polka doted clown shoes. If they don't notice continue to wear the shoes in your future games until they do. Once they do your opponent will have their psyche shattered cementing the win finely as yours. If they notice earlier and question you, proceed to gaslight them. Say things such as "On no, I was wearing these all along." and "As a member of the Genestealer Cults I am many things but not a liar." If you're plan was found early, keep your current pair of shoes on until the end of the game. In your next match against this foe, begin the cycle again but start with the pair you ended on last time. This is a plan generations in the making, you must think over the course of months not only a single game. Eventually, you will reach the 18 inch red polka doted clown shoes and you will achieve victory for the 4 armed emperor.

speaking of running more pure strain genestealers I had thought about an army list full of purestrains, metaorphs in the dedicatated transport, and abberants with the enhancment that gives you infiltrate. just bassically get all of the units up the board early with infiltrate and scout and claim the center objectives.
good idea, I may come back to something like that in this "GSC week" I am doing. When the codex comes out there should also be a detachment that rewards having those units
I main Tyranids but GSC have long been my secondary army, and while they are very tricky to get right, I do love how much more involved you have to be in your strategy with them compared to other armies. That said, I feel like GSC either win hard or lose hard. I've rarely ever had a close game with them, it's always a stomp in one direction or another.

Hi, for my Warhammer 40k games I use a pair of 64-bit Bowser socks, they are the lucky ones, I went to a local tournament without them, and it went terrible for me, after that every game night is Time to use Bowser's powerful ones, (Necron player BTW) LOVE YOUR VIDS :D

no, once a cult ambush marker is removed it stays removed However, the unit it represented is still in "cult ambush". They could come up from any other ambush marker. So if an ambush marker was placed after 5 genestealers died and another placed when 20 neophytes died. If the ambush marker that was placed after the 20 neophytes was removed, the neophytes could come up through the other ambush marker instead of the genestealers. The genestealers would wait in cult ambush for another ambush marker to be placed
Is my impression or, loosing or winning, genestealer cults are fun to play regardless? I play only sisters and I feel like they would benefit a lot if the same "shenanigans" mindset would be applied while creating their codex. And I don't mean in a meme way, just honestly fun to play by themselves.
as long as you know how to play GSC they are fun. If you try and put them in a straight up fight you will be slaughtered and not understand what went wrong
It's unfair to use that image of Zapp Brannigan for the Guard. The levels of dignity between him and Lord Solar Leontus are simply incomparable. He doesn't wear a silly hat.
if the acolytes are a new unit returning through cult ambush then it has demo charges, that seems to be the only way they get demo charges back (and technically it isn't "getting them back" as it is a whole new unit)

Can someone tell me where it states that our acolytes definitely get their one shot (used) demo charges back after coming back from cult ambush?
It`s in our army rule, the part "add a new unit to your army identical to your destroyed unit", because it`s a new unit it has unused demo charges

the blip can be stood on by friendly GSC models but if an enemy finishes a move within 9" of it then it will be removed
