The Wheel of Spine turns and Pages come and pass, leaving memories that become creases. Creases fade...
.... ~4.4m words trimmed for brevity....
There are no bindings, and never will be bindings, of the turning of the Wheel of Spine.

Fun little fact. The woman who voice is used for that is sueing TikTok because she never agree for them to use it. She originally did the recordings for a different company that went under but had a very strict contract with them not to distribute it.

@@SurelyLightFoot I hope she wins and they stop using the voice and never use robotic voices again for tiktok or any social media stuff. I even seen them in advertising videos, it baffles me why they use it as a regular voice would work better than robotic one.

there was a reason the previous owner made the spine like that. its to make sure the spine can’t be creased.

Its a mass market paperback. Not worth the effort. That curve is also good reading hygiene, as it prevents spine cracking. You just reversed it.

incorrect. you damage the spine every time you open the book. no training will ever prevent that.
also, effort can be put anywhere as long as someone wants to. it may not be worth it to you, but im glad i found this video so my 1990 dune will look much much better on my bookcase.

What I've done for ones with badly cracked spines, is use PVA glue. Open the book to page(s) that are most cracked and gently spread them while applying a tiny bit of glue in the crack. Don't overload the glue. Then use rubber bands to hold it place and set it under a bunch of heavier books or a press for 24 hours.

Can this be used to fix cracked spines? I gave a new book to someone for literally 3 minutes during studies and they fucking cracked the spine. Now I’m scared the pages will fall out. I’m so pissed about it, brand new. What an asshole.

It weakens the spine, making it crack easily, even if you do take good care of the book and, break it in using the proper methods also a curved spine shows the book has been broken in so you're wasting your time.

I might be in the minority but I don’t mind a creased spine. It shows that book was very much enjoyed by someone. If I look at someone’s personal library and don’t see a book with a creased spin or evidence it has ever been opened I kinda assume they haven’t read the books and got them to make themselves seem more interest. I guess you could say I judge books by there covers. That is not an invitation to destroy your book spines😂 that’s just what I’ve always thought.
