I am not exactly what you would call handy, but after watching this video, I was able to replace the burner tubes without difficulty. It is a very good video, and I am very grateful that it was posted. I very much doubt I could have accomplished it without watching it.

Great video and thanks for the time and effort to put this together. As @Robert Starry mentioned it is usually a different ball game on a used one. A lot of times those back screws do not come off and you will need to pull the manifold to replace the tubes.

There is virtually nothing to find on the internet for fixing THIS particular model of grill. In fact, I had to call Weber directly to even be able to order the replacement parts. This is an EXCELLENT video. The paperwork that came with my replacement burners and ignition switch were long and confusing. Your video made it SO easy. Thanks so much for such a great video. Someone like me who can barely change a lightbulb was able to do this in about 30 minutes. And that was with me taking a real long and careful time between some of the more critical steps, like re-connecting the correct wires to the correct location.

The major problem with this video is that the repair was performed on a brand new grill. On a grill that has been used for many years, the bolts that secure the burners to the back of the grill box will be frozen in place and rusted. The only way that they can be removed is to destroy them. A better method is to loosen the manifold from the front of the grill and that will provide enough "wiggle room" to remove and replace the burners without having to loosen the rear burner bolts. After all, the rear burner bolts don't actually hold down the burner tubes. They merely act as guides to keep the burner tubes in the burner posts. The tab on the back end of each burner will easily slide under each of the rear burner bolts. After the burners are in place in the grill box, you then mate the manifold to the front of all three burner tubes and secure.
I just went through this today replacing the burner tubes on a grill that I used probably twice a week (at least) for the last 5 years. They were rusted so bad the flat head couldn't even bite. I ended up cutting a deeper groove with a Dremel so that the flathead had something to bite. Got them off but the tubes I bought did not come with screws so now I have to order those. Caveat emptor!
I did burner replacement today on a 7 year old grill. I used my ratchet set with proper size driver. No problem whatsoever getting those 3 screws out. You shouldn’t be critical of this guy for using a new grill, he did a great job producing it as it’s helped so many people!
I just snapped off the heads of two burner bolts. This is going to be fun! 😥
thank you so much for mentioning the rear burner bolts not actually holding down the ends...when you remove them, theres so much crud and rust on them you cant tell until you put new ones on, which i just did on a weber E201. thought i had a part missing after new ones put on (washer? nope) - just the front manifold lockdown holds them in place, and nothing either online, at the weber site or the instructions that came with the burner/ignitor replacement parts said that. its apparent, i know, but now i can rest a little easier ;) .

I had my headphones on and about crapped myself at the beginning of the video when the knocking noise comes out of the right channel. Our house has wood siding and it sounded like someone was knocking on the side of the house right outside of my second-story office window. I didn't even realize that the sound had come from the headphones until after doing a thorough check of the house I came back and started the video over. Eerie!

You can cleary see that the older genesis grills were well built like tanks compared to these newer ones snd much easier to rebuild and maintain
Nice video! I would have removed more parts had I not seen this video first! I need to replace my igniter too. I seem to have a leak at the number one burner control. This thing sits outside year round and is seven years old with almost no maintenance. I'm a bad owner... I know,
Great video!What size socket did you use to remove the screws that hold the burners in place? Mine are snugged in really tight, and a couple won't come out with a screwdriver. It seems like they are close to an 8mm socket, but that is a little loose on the two that are tight.Thanks in advance for your help!

The Weber will easily surpass that temp, but I've found that 450F works better than 500F for cooking pizza on a stone on the grill. Don't use alcohol on a grill at all. That is dangerous AF. Alcohol aerosolizes and has an invisible flame.
Wonder if those 3 screws in the rear will snap off when I replace these on my 5 yr old grill
Highly likely, try spraying them with white vinegar if they are rusty. Sometimes you get lucky and they break free.
Maybe not. I just replaced the burners on my 5 + year old E330 today. The retaining screws were not in great shape. I had to use SAE sockets to find two to fit the three screws. Yeah, I have a complete set of metric sockets but there were two sizes of screws used. I think, sounds crazy I know. The right most and center tubes fit a 11/32 socket. The sear burner and left most burner fit a 5/16. I tightened each screw a tiny bit and then slowly backed out the screws until I could easily remove them by fingers. There appeared to be a manufacturer installed difference in using smaller screws in the sear and left burner, kind of crowded for space. Corrosion might have played a role, but the screws sure looked different sizes. Anyway, my grill is outdoors under a canvas shelter but otherwise not covered. The Atlantic Ocean is about 4 miles due East, with the prevailing wind coming from that direction. I didn't have to replace the screws, I just reused the old ones. I will look into replacement screws online and try to update this later.
another repair video with brand new BBQ. When will you people show a repair with something that actually has been used and needs replacement? It is sure different changing a componet on a brand new pristine BBQ and one that has been used with carbon, grease, etc built up on the parts.

What causes a weed Wacker to loose power?
Hi Chanka, there are two different type of trimmers, electric and gas. If you have an electric trimmer. It could be your brushes are worn down, or the armature and or field have shorted out. If yours is a gas trimmer, the carburetor may be dirty and needs to be cleaned, a carburetor repair kit or a gasket/diaphragm kit may be needed. A new carburetor may be needed. It could be a clogged fuel filter, air filter. A fouled spark plug or the piston rings and cylinder may be worn. A clogged muffler would also cause this symptom.
Chanka Lalchan look where the gas goes in there should be a tube and on the end is a filter. Pull out the hose remove the filter and reinstall see if that helps. Also watch your gas to oil mix. Too much oil and it will not run right.

Dear god, you should not have to do this much work to change three little burners like that. That's nuts. Take apart the whole grill. I don't think I'll buy that model.
I’ve had this model grill for nearly 10 years and it gets used several times a week year-round. Maybe it seems like a lot of work to you, but to me (especially with this video) its nothing. Weber makes great grills...not cheap but they work much better than the ones from big box stores.
