They're rereleasing these in the UK within a week. I think they are releasing 1) a box set containing seasons 1-2, 2) a box set containing only the later TV movies and 3) the ultimate set containing everything. The TV movie set has separate original artwork for every movie. I own this exact Shout! box already so I'll be getting only the TV movie set from the UK. I don't think Shout! ever released the TV movies in the USA

@Alan Collins I remember the Saturday early evening showings in the UK. Got a kick out of watching Dave Prowse as "the Creature," rampaging through the corridors of Moonbase Alpha. Green Cross Man!! Watched him again as Darth Vader in Star Wars at the cinema in Derby soon after! Wish I still had the two Dinky Eagles I played with at the time! Thanks for the memories!

As a review, I was expecting some details on the transfer. Is it a "remastering" or just a transfer from DVD/Standard definition with maybe some upscaling.
If one already owns the DVD set, and the transfer is the same image quality, then it would not be an upgrade…

Unfortunately, I couldn't say much about the transfer as the product details did not specify. I have owned this series on VHS, DVD and now Blu Ray, and have never seen it look this good before. Is it an upscale? Don't know and have no way to verify that. Is it a restoration? Doubt it, as there is no claim that it is. My own opinion is that it is a better image quality than standard def. I believe it's worth the upgrade and am glad I did. I love this series. It's one of my favorite TV shows and I am excited to own it on Blu! Thanks for watching and for your comments.

I have it on Blu Ray and it really lives up to Blu Bay quality. In the second season, in one episode, I also saw the imperfection of the exterior. A piece of exposed wooden plywood :-), which can only be seen at a higher resolution.
I am from the Czech Republic and unfortunately this series has never been broadcast by any television in our country. But I live close to the border with Poland, and Polish television broadcast this series sometime in the late 70s - 80s, so I had the opportunity to see this series then.

Where did you acquire your eagle model from? I want one.

Hi John! I got the eagle model off of ebay several years ago. I just checked and you can still get them, though a little pricey now. Search for "Konami eagle" on ebay and you'll find them. They are Japanese imports, made by Konami. No painting or assembly required, just a nice little model. I've collected several of these vehicle models, all from Gerry Anderson tv shows like Joe 90, Captain Scarlett, and UFO. Got 'em all on top of my Blu Ray shelves! Be careful though, they are small, plastic and fragile. However, the eagle is not as fragile as the others as it is a good, solid plastic build by Konami. Hope you can get one! I really like it!
