Alien Attack and Journey Through the Black Sun is from season 1 so you might want to start there. I should get mine in a week or so here in the US, but I do remember the VHS boxes at the rental store. Thanks for the unboxing.

The packaging with the inner sleeves with the original artwork is stunning, but, and here's the but. Network let the side down with God awful, cheap outer packaging that's flimsy, and will easily rip . Network use to produce, occasionally, some hard cardboard outer box sets back in the day Example, Return of the Saint, Space 1999: First Season box set and the terrific ATV series Thriller. Then Network went down the cheap route and put nearly all of their box sets out with outer covers made out of cheap, thin cardboard. Great series released by Network like the ITV series Adam Dalgliesh and The Vice etc all had these flimsy outer box sets. My The Vice box set has literally fallen apart. 😩
Yes, Network back in their early days when DVDs were becoming a thing had some really great cardboard packaging with their boxsets. Another one in a really nice thick box was their Gerry Anderson's, Stingray. They then changed the Stingray box for a much thinner one. Also, Network used to produce lovely artwork and images on the actual discs of their releases but then went down the cheap route of dispensing with all that and their discs became plain black with just the title of the show.
@@Stringbean421 Just look at their recent release of the Woman in Black. Great TV release, and Network went with a slip cover. Companies like Indicator and Second Sight produce a nice hard back slip case. Network just doesn't bother one bit. The company certainly has made a very tidy profit over the decades, and you would think Network would do the right thing, but as you say, it's far cheaper to deliver a thin, cheap piece of cardboard than something more sturdy. It's embarrassing, but Network couldn't give a flying shit!.
I do like the art work it has that retro look with the colours. Its been rerelease on blu ray with the same art work coming out on Aug 05, 2024 (4 Weeks) Not to sure what the difference is All four special editions have been re-edited, restoring scenes and adding material not in the original presentation. Shame it wasn't done in 4k as this is all ready in blu ray so i don't see the point of this re release

Thanks for your question, sadly only 2.0 Mono which was what these were originally released in… although no new mixes have been created here I believe that the general audio has been cleaned up and levelled out… ☺️

I remember back in the late 80's when the cheap VHS releases were finally being sold and distributed as Channel 5 video (along with Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet). Couldn't get home fast enough and then to be confronted with this crap mish mash of episodes and not the original opening titles. The thorough disappointment and I would never invest in this collection again. To be honest Network haven't done a good job with that packaging.
I watched Allien Atack many times. Still today is a great movie.
I missed out on this. A shame that with Network Distributing Limited going under, we'll never see a repress of it.
It is indeed a shame but might be worth keeping an eye out on eBay as it might crop up somewhere… ☺️🤞

Could you please tell me what is the sound output on the discs. Is it 5.1 dts or Dolby digital thanks

Yes, I have to agree that the opening credits and music are sadly missed here, I need to watch the full series… 👍🏻
Do some research. ITC edited these movies, not Network. What an ignorant comment.
