My biggest gripe with FOC was definitely the lacking Escalation. The fun of Escalation for me was making it as far as I could, and the extremely limited number of waves completely removed that. Hell, I would've been fine if it was just wave 15 repeating, anything is better than the game abruptly ending.

I love Transformers Fall Of Cybertron and War For Cybertron. Including Devastation, Revenge Of The Fallen, The Game, Rise Of The Dark Spark, Dark Of The Moon and Transformers Prime ^_^
For me the best multiplayer was the ROTF game. The ability to climb buildings, Dodging enemy attacks, the flexibility between the robot and car modes like the power jumps for ground players and hovering capabilities for flying players, the unique special abilities and range weapons of each player as well as the Melee capabilities that didn't stop at a single punch like (DOTM, WFC, FOC) but actually consisted of several unique combinations like chain attacks, charged attacks, ground pounds, etc. made this game incredibly versatile, chalenging and fun to play
as a kid, everyone in the house wanted to play Fall Of Cybertron on the PS3, so i didn't get to play it a lot. as a result, i grew up with war for Cybertron on the DS as well as the other transformers games on the DS.
They made a remake of fall of cybertron on Xbox one, well it was kinda more of a port than anything but yeah. It was really poorly done, activision just wanted money. The campaign was fine but the multiplayer didn’t have the final patch added and so it was basicaly liek playing the patch notes from the beta. The biggest issue is that ur character customizations wouldn’t save and every time u played online, u would have to remake ur classes which was a pain. Sad how they did that as they could have made more money if it was fixed
Playing WfC and FoC, it makes me sad seeing just how Hasbro's quality has gotten so poor nowadays. The games are cheap, the shows are cheap. Heck. The only thing that they're doing right now are the figures. And even, then, some have really bad QC.
They aren't the ones doing most of the games or cartoons it is the companies they lease Transformers out too. However Cyberverse is a good cartoon which was done by Hasbro.
Activision will always be the villain of the story. Personally I'd have loved for Transformers Devastation to get a sequel: gameplay was really fun and its main flaw was being a stepping stone that had some shortcomings. A sequel using many of the same assets while expanding on pretty much every aspect would've been very special. I do believe the game was overlooked when it came out. I enjoyed the Cybertron duology but I'm not very fond of the designs themselves.
How is a company that lost the rights to make Transformer games the "bad guy"? I believe the deal with Hasbro expired and Hasbro did not renew (for whatever reason) and instead decided to let other game companies do Transformer games.
Nothing about the DS games? Yeah that’s pretty understandable. Not everyone has played them but the Nintendo DS was my childhood. There were plenty of good ones, the Transformers 2007 DS games, Revenge of the Fallen DS games weren’t too bad, War for Cybertron DS games were fantastic and nobody can change my mind, TF Animated DS was great, it’s the only game for that series and it’s the most unique Transformers game ever being mainly a puzzle game. And the Transformers Prime game wasn’t just available for the Wii, it was available for the DS too but it didn’t have multiplayer on that version so you couldn’t play as the Decepticons like in the Wii version, but some cutscenes looked better in the DS version likely due to the smaller screen, but others not so much. Great vid man, I really hope we get some new good Transformers games sometime soon. I’d love to see one with a fresh and new story that isn’t connected to anything else in the franchise.
I have a lot of nostalgia from playing Transormers the game and Rise of the Fallen on the PS2. Bought both recently for the 360 to relive some memories, and I gotta say, It was a bummer to discover that the 360 and PS3 version of ROTF was a different game entirely.
Finally someone realistic. Everyone on the TF game news pages(or YT) are like "The game developers are about make an announcement VERY soon!!" They've been saying that every month for the past year and a half 🤣🤦♂️
I never played the Armada game, but for a ps2 game those graphics look 👌. Also War and Fall of Cybertron are basically peak transformers for me and the fact they’re basically delisted and abandoned by Activision and Hasbro is just despicable.
Nah those are awfully generic gameplay wise they are nothing but painfully overrated. Best tf games were the games on ds , Armada, rotf , devastation,g1 awakening and 3ds ver of rise of dark spark.
Escalation on FoC my God... those were the days. I was the best ammo man in the WORLD! And halo reach can stick it with its customization, we got it on a b title xD
I've never played online multiplayer, but I do think Activision taking down online multiplayer for war for cybertron and fall of cybertron was a scumbag move because I think people who really enjoyed that should enjoy what they love. I can only hope that there's some way to get Activision to bring back the multiplayer, for those people who loved it. Edit: I found out about the scandal that went on at Activsion, now I think Activsion needs to get bought out by another company and they can bring it back.
Dark of the moon simply had the best multiplayer experience, i spent many hours playing it after the campaign. if i remember correctly, shockwave was the strongest character you could play, his main canon would just rip away health like no other, but yet, still so balanced that you were not invincible, you just had to be faster on the trigger. The sad truth was yes, it was not populated alot, wait times being long was common, but when you did find a match, it was always a great time
I would love to see a third installment of the cybertron games where it's based on them first arriving on earth, or on their way to earth. Cause when you think about it Prime takes place after they had already landed.
Revenge of The Fallen on PS2 is underrated. I played both PS3 and PS2 version a lot back then but PS2 version is still my absolute favorite. Not to mention the soundtracks are pretty amazing If i ever have the chance to replay it, i would love to
Honestly i would have put the 2007 game a bit higher. Modding the game has shown me all its pros and cons. If the game hadnt had the hoover dam exterior levels cut you would have probably put the game higher too as that levels music and design was great.
The DS Transformers 2007 game was my favorite transformers game hands down especially since you could play as the main cast but also play as your own custom transformer! I especially liked the Skydive skin on the game
5:12 i grew up wanting this game and could never afford it but now i can and wow i loved it maybe it’s just me but because of nostalgia its no 1 for me
I remember going online and buying the Dark of the Moon DLC pack for Sideswipe, I would actually do nothing but multiplayer, getting stuck in the Mirage mission because I was young and really doubted myself, and didn't want to ask for help. I believe I would've had less fun playing the campaign than I did playing the multiplayer, which kinda says something considering had it been any other game (except Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Zombies) I would've downright refused to play online.
I bought Fall of Cybertron this year just for the campaign and really enjoyed it. It's a real shame there's nothing left to do after the campaign since the multiplayer is dead. I'm going to play Devastation next.
@@glueman7761 try joining the re-energized server, they have private servers to play multiplayer on all the old games like wfc, foc and even dark spark lol
@Comodin Cam Transformers needs private offline/online servers in the future. It ruins the game when a whole chunk of the game is no longer available to play. In the future, they need to place an option to play solo offline escalation/multiplayer. I would prefer private matches for the game to play with friends too. It also stinks that you can't even complete achievements because some of those trophies are online. Either reward players with the achievements if you go offline or do private escalation. I know there are mods out there for private escalation, but you shouldn't have to do that, especially on console. They need to bring back these modes. The reason they shut down servers was that there was a lack of interest. An easy way to combat this is costumes/designs of characters, weapons, upgrades, color variations, more transformers, introduce more maps, etc. The developers need to do this to make people keep coming back to the game.
just searched transformer games, because the really first video game that was really challenging for me was the Dark Of The Moon. Being like 9 years old and playing this game was hard because you had to move both joysticks and the mechanics were challenging also. Now after finding the game name I want to play it one more time on my pc now.
i really like the Nintendo DS games and then specificly the Decepticons one from 2007... graphics were a shitshow but the sandbox experience and unlockables were amazing

I have a lot of nostalgia from playing Transormers the game and Rise of the Fallen on the PS2. Bought both recently for the 360 to relive some memories, and I gotta say, It was a bummer to discover that the 360 and PS3 version of ROTF was a different game entirely.
But BETTER games.
The ps3 and the 360 version was different?
@@toone1562 WAY different. Look up gameplay, they were much better games.
Let’s just hope that the new game by Certain Affinity will be as good as WFC and FOC
That's starting to sound like a pipe dream at this point.
At the this point in time, I doubt it will ever come out, Seems like it was forgotten
Finally someone realistic. Everyone on the TF game news pages(or YT) are like "The game developers are about make an announcement VERY soon!!" They've been saying that every month for the past year and a half 🤣🤦♂️
Dude Fall of cybertron was the real shit. I remember i player it on ps3
Who else grew up with the DOTM and Fall of Cybertron multiplayer servers
My favorite is fall of cybertron
The ones I’ve played:
1. Fall of Cybertron
2. Transformers 2007 PS2
3. Dark of the Moon PS3
Transformers Armada is my favorite. There is also a very obscure only released in Japan Transformers game that is 100% in English
The sad truth was yes, it was not populated alot, wait times being long was common, but when you did find a match, it was always a great time
Loved Armada!!!!!
Wish i had a way to play Any transformers on my XBONE
would not have chosen better myself. TOP 2 are my absolute favorite, played them both religiously
I would love to see a third installment of the cybertron games where it's based on them first arriving on earth, or on their way to earth. Cause when you think about it Prime takes place after they had already landed.
The DS games were awesome
We need another GTA with giant robots
The Trans scanning was awesome
The First game, I ever played was Transformers 1 (bayverse) game!
Ah, Nostalgia
Revenge of The Fallen on PS2 is underrated. I played both PS3 and PS2 version a lot back then but PS2 version is still my absolute favorite. Not to mention the soundtracks are pretty amazing
If i ever have the chance to replay it, i would love to
It's pretty good only thing that holds it back it lack of transformation. And some repetitive levels.
Honestly i would have put the 2007 game a bit higher. Modding the game has shown me all its pros and cons. If the game hadnt had the hoover dam exterior levels cut you would have probably put the game higher too as that levels music and design was great.
I love the armada game collecting the minicons it was alot of fun
The DS Transformers 2007 game was my favorite transformers game hands down especially since you could play as the main cast but also play as your own custom transformer! I especially liked the Skydive skin on the game
I love dark of the moon and fall of cybertron
I still play Transformers Prime to this day. Still have fun playing it regardless of the length.
I remember that 2007 game, had alot of fun with that one 😂
0/10 the Mountain Dew tie in didn’t make the list 😔
Holy Primus, someone else remembers that?
Oh how I wished we got a sequel to Devastation...
I like transformers devastation
5:12 i grew up wanting this game and could never afford it but now i can and wow i loved it maybe it’s just me but because of nostalgia its no 1 for me
R.I.P the greatest games to exist
You can't forget the old 3ds games those were my childhood
Fall of Cybertron is an awesome game and is still the reason I play my Xbox 360
8:48 The Transformers Prime game was also on the DS, 3DS, and the WiiU though. Only the WiiU version had online features though.
Sad you never got to play the multiplayer. The glory days of FOC were so good. Probably one of the best third person shooters ever made. Such a blast
@@glueman7761 try joining the re-energized server, they have private servers to play multiplayer on all the old games like wfc, foc and even dark spark lol
@@thewitness257 already on it now but thanks
@@glueman7761 what's ur discord name i could add you (I have no one to play with lmao )
I wish WFC and FOC got remasters. When I was into online shooters, those 2 games were the only games I put hours into aside from COD, Battlefield and Halo. I even was good enough to get ranked in the top 20 in some game modes.
We need something like the first movie game AND FOC but way more open world like GTA
Fall of cybertron on the ds3 holds so many memories
Man that thumbnail for ps5 fall of cybertron really got me 😢
Fall of Cybertron and WFC remake with multiplayer would do so much work to revitalize the gameplay style.
So, what is your opinion on Rooster Teeth’s *war for cybertron trilogy on Netflix* right now?
This was very helpful, thanks for making this video.
WFC was the best transformers video game. Designs were clean af, lore was great and the multiplayer was cooking.
Blitzwing has the coolest theme song ever in TF Devastation.
I never did get to play FoC online much because my internet at the time was bad, but I remember loving the character customization. I'd fight with my internet just to make my own characters or recreate others. I even downloaded a cheat that unlocked all the parts just so I could have all the options. Lol
Maybe one day we'll get to play The Bumblebee Movie game (when they make it) that is as good as your top two favorites, perhaps we can play as Beast Aars characters.
My top 5 TR games
1 TF the game the og
2 TF fall of CT
3 TF war for CT
4 TF armada (never finished it)
5 TF on the DS
You're right I got War of Cybertron for my 11th birthday and it was amazing it was one of the best games ever Activision should have never done that stuff
