The first thing I noticed is there is no insulation in that roof. That means it will be boiling hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. I would be willing to give up some of the headspace to be comfortable.

Liked 1 and 3..... one needs insulation on the ceiling..... good lay out on both of them
Actually, it is insulated. If you look closely, the ceiling "ribs" run peak to wall. Outside, the ribs run the length of the house. The layer of steel you see inside is for looks, then they insulate above that layer and apply what you see outside on top of the insulation. Same as a normal home with cathedral ceilings.
It’s a glorified tough shed.
This is one of the best tiny houses I've ever seen. Nicely done and homey. I love the bathroom and the toilet . It has everything and functional.

I really like the first one. I'm surprised at how much it has in such a small space.
I love the country cabins and the cottages. They're my favorite styles. The moderns are nice and have some wonderful ideas but they're not me or the style I like.

It has everything??? How about insulation?There is only the metal roof.
I was kinda thinking the same thing. However, after looking at it again I believe they replicated the same look as the roof. The lights and fan don't have exposed wiring or conduit so I figure there's an insulated area between those two areas. Good catch though.
@@ronaldkeller6867 exactly plus if you look at the direction the roofing is on the outside vs inside they go opposite ways. Outside its long horizontal metal roofing and inside its short vertical metal roofing.

I would love to have one of these tiny homes custom made for what I need a place for me and my mom to live together and I know small space and they're so beautiful all I need is a place to eat a place to sit and watch TV a place to take a bath and use the facilities and do my laundry I don't need a big house will I need a big house for unless I'm going to have my whole entire family live with me I wish I can afford to have one built for me and set on a little piece of land they're beautiful thank you for sharing
I just love #1 TINY HOUSE bc we are retired and really wanna live in Hawai’i near our son.
This house plan is absolutely perfect for the climate...no need for insulation. Most of the time, no need for AC or HEAT. SPLIT UNITS are perfect.
Only thing we would add to this plan is the much needed LANAI.
Our son is a noted builder in HI!
I think God is giving us an answer to our prayers!

Of all the tiny homes I've seen, like the first one best. Would want 1/2 that size window in bedroom. Was it actually bigger? It seemed so, liked the layout. 😊

the first one is my favorite and I love it. the only thing i would change is the way the doors open on the fridge. they should open towards the kitchen, not the living area.

This is a real question and I'm sure it's been done hundreds if not 1,000.00's times, but I'm seeking a Rustic Modern Cabin, (animal Friendly, 1st Floor bedroom preferred..for the aging.

What kind of insulation is in the ceiling Sure will be warm with the sun shining?
I liked the hip roof house. My big concern is insulation. Living in South Dakota it has a tendency to get a bit cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
Maybe double up on the roof, roof on top of roof with heavy insulation between?

every time I look at these homes it makes me want one so bad I live with 2 sister it's almost time for me to move on but for now I have no choice

First one has a great layout, but no insulation? That means cold in the winter and hot as hell in the summer. Someone spends the time for this and they don't add the most important part ? INSULATION! There will be many problems.
The sad truth about these "finished shed turned tiny homes" is that they cost about the same as a regular small house to purchase (or to finish yourself). So you are paying tens of thousands of dollars to live in a TINY living space that is not on any kind of foundation.

You didn't have a valid point, so...
Tiny homes can be placed on foundations, and cost on average the same per square foot as other home construction methods. A conventional house of equal price, on a foundation, would have the same size living space as a so called tiny home, on a foundation.
You can always build a foundation first.
Nice but what about insulation R factors for season temps?! Not up to codes!

Has anyone noticed that tiny houses are no longer tiny. They are getting bigger and bigger, while that house is really nice nice it does not qualify as a tiny house.

Cute designs but in Virginia I know most of these would not be legal to use as living quarters. There are minimum standards for sq. footage and building standards and trust me these would not meet those standards. In some states there are very little standards so just about anything goes but before you let a salesman bs you call your county government and see what the rules are. Most of these are sheds that have been dressed up to look like a house but trust me they are still sheds. No floor insulation or ceiling insulation which will be a nightmare to heat and cool. Not to mention moisture issues both above and below. Don't get scammed. Do your homework!!
Check with your county inspector as to the regulations before doing anything.Might be better off to have a architect draw up plans to code and have a talented builder do the foundation,walls,roof,etc have it pass the inspection.Then the homeowner can go and do the rest ...
I think the first one was an 'idea house' since it was not on a foundation.
@@cindylong624 I don't disagree with you but keep in mind that will make the cost go up a lot using an architect etc... Speaking from experience in this field most people who are looking at Tiny Homes are on a very limited budget in fact most don't have any money. Again, I was in this business for almost 10 years.

The Interiors are nice but there's no way anyone could live in these.
I wish you tiny house people would stop showing garden sheds as homes. It costs more to bring a shed up to residential code than the shed itself costs.
If you want a small, inexpensive LEGAL home, just get a single-wide manufactured home and be done with it.
Tiny House is just an upscale name for a small mobile home. No one wants to be caller trailer trash. LOL.
Wow. No insulation in the roof at all. That would cook you like an oven in summer and freeze you solid in winter. Horrible plan. Also, can you imagine the noise of a heavy rain or even hail?
