- The Speaker scolded Home Office Minister Chris Philp for abusing his platform to attack Labour's plans to vote against the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill.
Oral Questions to the Secretary of State for Justice
House of Commons Chamber
Tuesday 16 March 2021
Chris Philp, Con (0:00)
Speaker Lindsay Hoyle (0:08)
Exactly! PMQs should be questions, not tit for tat point scoring!
Yes, his recent loss-of-rag moment is lurking forever in the Chamber. However, the admonished DID rather appear straight-laced, even corseted, non?
Lindsay Hoyle was the definite heir to The Chair
He is a very good speaker and as for Philp i wonder who he is trying to impress ? certainly not the public.
Cool your jets there.. now what the hell are you trying to say..?
I see Chris Philp on Daily Politics quite a lot, unfortunately.
It's Philp, not Phelp.
Oops, small typo... Thank you!
Are you points scoring!!!
angry little toad isnt he
Ive not seen Lindsay Hoyle go off like that since He became the primary speaker of the house from deputy so this tory MP clearly worked his ticket!
But he is all bark and no bite...
Meaning?
This speaker like the media and a Labour MP well say no more
