Thank you so much for your help with this information. I just opened a Step account for my son today and used your code and it gave him $10. He’s happy to finally have his own debit card. Thanks again.
Awesome! So glad it worked out!
It says irs not available in my country. Im in Australia 🇦🇺. Is there a solution? If not im so sad
@@SmartFamilyMoneyis capital one free do you have to pay monthly ?
@@ItsAriixx Capital One Money has no fees. Nothing to pay monthly.
@@SmartFamilyMoney WOAH can you spend with it online?
thank you so much! ill be talking to my mom about this and i’ll send her the video, really appreciate it
@Smart Family Money You mentioned that you set up both a Capital One and Step acct for your daughter. Can you link those accounts and see both balances in one app? While I understand there are some differences between the two, it feels a little redundant so I'm curious how you and your kids use each account and decided on the strategy where money is deposited and spent from.
Absolutely loved this video! I love the idea of Step, and my son is interested in getting a Capital One Money account to deposit Checks and Cash.
Glad you liked it! That combo is working well for us! And I love that they're both completely free. :)
@@SmartFamilyMoneycan you use capital one online
Thank you for this video! Thinking about this for my boys
Glad I could help!
What is a referral code?
Its not available in my county 😔
Thank you so much
You're welcome!
step is available to anyone of all ages
Thanks so much
You're welcome!
I'm so late to this video but I'm trying to find a no fee debit card and the closest I have found was the step app I love how it tracks credit scores, but I'm just confused is it a credit card or a debit card.
I could also recommend a revolute junior card they are also good the only bit you paying for is possibly the delivery fee depending on where you live if you do not need to pay the delivery fee your revolute junior card is 100% free!
Oh that looks interesting! Do you have one of those?
@henricampbell28 step
Thanks for the information! I think I’ll go with step, until I turn 18 which is soon. I get weekly allowance from my parents and going through high school saving for college, I would like to have an app like step.
I am sure you will love Step! Did you see my new video about Cash App? That's available for 13+ now too and might be a good option.
@@SmartFamilyMoney yep I sure I did, my cash app card should be here any day now. I think I would still prefer step
My oldest daughter has capital one money card and for some reason when we go to add chase bank for the external account it doesn’t work
That's strange. I have Chase linked to mine. I would contact Capital One to see what the problem is.
great app!
(im 8)
Is over 13 only or 13 or over?
I don't see a link for Capital one Money? Is it a app?
Here you go! www.capitalone.com/bank/checking-accounts/teen-checking-account/
Have u seen anything on TD Bank?
When I had looked at them, it looked like they charge a monthly fee.
I Also Recommend TD Bank Its Like Step
Oh I will have to check that one out. Does it have any fees?
Can I deposit checks on there?
For step
Ok so literally one of these was actually no fee when we ask for no fee what we want is no subscriptions for debit card and that card isn’t even a debit card it’s classified as a credit card because you can see your balance after every transaction cash app is a fee less debit card that is the google reason it’s not a debit card and You can use step past thirteen and adults can use it too that’s why there’s no strict parental control because you can remove all sponsors which are your friends or family and if my it’s also a financial freedom thing would you want your employer regulating what you do with you money I wouldn’t and remember credit cards mean easy debt by spending money you will have and debit cards mean safety by spending money you do have
How much does a capital one card cost to get?
It's free!

So with these cards is it completely free. Or is there some sort of fee
Is there anything that has no monthly fees and let’s you deposit?
Do you want to deposit cash or checks? And for what age? If you want to deposit checks, Cap One Money is great (but they don't have cash depositing, BUT it just came to Cap One 360, so it might be coming soon). Chase HS Checking and Wells Fargo Clear Access are both for 13+ and do allow cash deposits but they have other restrictions. Copper is a teen debit card with no monthly fee and it allows cash deposits but there is a fee for the cash deposits. Check out my full kids & teens playlist for more on these options: ua-cam.com/play/PL1f_tVLOUXFTmlQLu5xQCHrXcarBXkpSN.html
Which option do you think is the best Capital One, Step, or Cashapp, or Chase .. for 12 year old and a 13 year old. Your thoughts in 2023 after you been using these options for a few months now?
If you are only choosing one, Capital One Money is the way I would go. It's been great for my kids (13 and 14 now). We use Zelle with it to make transfers easier too.
Thank you for replying.. I will look into it
@@SmartFamilyMoney Hey I remember on one of your previouses videos you said it doesbt have zelle and I opened an account and I still cant find zelle is this because the account is new or is zelle still not available
@@petarpopovic3369 Capital One has Zelle. Is that the one you are talking about? My kids are 13 and 14 and both have Zelle access now but I had to turn it on.
But SEB Debitcard! That is good u can even
Hello, when i choose to deposit cash into my card the stores say they cant do it? Is that normal ?
They probably just don't know how. I would just try a different store that's listed. CVS tends to be good because they seem to do a ton of these apps.
New employees always struggle with these apps they gotta call their supervisor or whatever lol
How do we get thw capital one account?
Here's all the info: www.capitalone.com/bank/checking-accounts/teen-checking-account/
How come when you refer someone you get 5 dollars but it says for me I can get 1 dollar? A friend referred me and I got $5 and I wanna refer other ppl but they will only get $1 😔
Yeah, I think Step has reduced the referral bonus to only $1 for everyone now, unfortunately.
Does Capital One Money work in greece pls someone me
I believe you have to be a US resident to open the account but it should then work worldwide.
Step also gives people under 13 one!
Really??? How old are you I am 11 and I want one!!
@@RyRy11148 I wanna be rich someday.🤑
How do you get a step card?
Threw The app I assume
@@annabellaribeiro4449 (nvm I got one a long time ago)
I don't have a SSN could could I still have one ??
Which one did you want to open? All the ones I talked about do require you to a be a US resident, but I don't think they all require a SSN. I know Capital One, you can open with an ITIN instead of a SSN.
@@SmartFamilyMoney I could try.
Is this available in italy?
No, sorry, it's only in the US. Most banking products are country specific.
U forgot cash app
You're right! I made this video before Cash App lowered it's age. I should make an update because a lot has changed.
🎉🎉 green light 🥹
How do you get the step app
I think revolut junior is better
I don't know anything about that one. Why do you like that one better?
How do you do it
Did anybody catch that she said step was free no fees AT ALL! Then she says if you sue my link you will get 5$ off mhm???

The step app you have to get approved by someone which is a con
Defifinatly poor advice here
