  • In this video I will teach you how to build hexagonal bases on the water to incorporate the best base design in the game in my opinion. Useful for PvP and PvE both. Fit all your crafting benches inside. Only to build once and not look back.

    THIS SUCKS AND THE ROOF IS BAD

    I didn't know the [F] button, this will make building roofs way easier now
    With the construction hammer you can just press the middle button to retrieve buildings without having to wait

    Ty kindly for this guide. Can't wait to give it a try. My first build was on the water but is currently restricted by a near by ruin so I was thinking about building out where you have your base currently and trying this design instead of the rectangles I currently have.

      For me personally I can just get way more into survival games when I build aesthetically rather than for speed. I am glad you found it useful. I was going to move to another spot but I really love this spot and will likely stay here for the foreseeable future. I am going to build the pyramid off the back end.

    You can interact with the bonfire and select 'show work area' to have it always be there for convenience. :)

    Do you have to start the central point that way all the time? Or can you start with 4 squares to make a bigger square center? Or 9 squares (3x3) or 16 squares (4x4) and then make them more circular later?

    • @SovereignRPG
      @SovereignRPG  13 днів тому +1

      Unfortunately the corner pieces are not full triangles. The angle doesn't allow for it. it would be perfectly fine if walls could go inside eachother but they can't so unless you start with a clean hexagon it doesn't really connect any other way. I am trying different things to see what works. I will try and get this idea checked out fully for you

    i use to start with triangels then square, but i plase triangels on square and oposit on aquare to triangel

    with the bonfire in center you can go out 15 foundations or floors for a single bonfire or 31 across you can go 16 but I go 15 so I can add protective barrier Walls.

    nice video! i woul make the inner circle one level higher, so the roof can be closed. maybe the beds on second floor. i use the floor to close the roof, but your approach is vvery interesting.

    This can be easily breached by means of piranha and alligators tho. However, if upgraded to stone and you put walls around it to make like a 'armor' for the pillar, only dedication can destroy it 😂

    • @SovereignRPG
      @SovereignRPG  13 днів тому

      Haha yea. I would wall off all the pillars building this anyway. Had an invasion today and those bastards went straight for them. Now its walled in completely haha

    Can players swing battering rams while swimming? I've never considered building on the water but there might be some nice defensive benefits. I also worry about the tribesmen AI bugging out because it's super wonky to begin with.

    • @SovereignRPG
      @SovereignRPG  13 днів тому

      I haven't had any issues on the water so far. Except for the turkey coop one of the npcs has to go under the base for it. I will test the ram today because I actually thought about that. You can swing weapons so you might be able to I will check.

    sorry but i dont understand, why do you want to build on water? is there any pvp protection in doing so or smt? thanks in advance

    • @SovereignRPG
      @SovereignRPG  13 днів тому

      Well there is. People drown. Slow down. Run out of stam. Easier targets nothing to hide behind. no trees no rocks etc. But I build on the water because I like it.
