For all the people who think this ride is lame but have never ridden it well your wrong, this is a smaller ride but this thing packs a punch for being a family coaster, y'all need to ride it for yourselves to understand
THATS A FLIPPING FAMILY COASTER, HAVE YOU RIDDEN THE KING DA KA, LOL. Like I Know There Are Even Bigger Family Coasters And I'm A Wimp But At First That Looked Just A Little Too Intense To Be A Family Coaster. Like That First Drop And The Banked Turn After It Was So Insane For A Family Wooden Coaster And It Was So Fast Throughout The Whole Layout Of The Ride.
Honestly if you haven't actually ridden it, you can't talk. It packs way more of a punch than what it looks like. I could ride this over and over and never get bored. The fact that the elements are so small, means that the train maintains its speed. So it's a lot more intense than it looks.
adamadamwoo789 this video does it no justice. I was like everyone else when watching it. Looks boring and slow. That was not the case when I rode it. Its not the fastest but is fast enough with great intensity.
Intensity doesn't mean fun. Intensity means exhaustion, and bracing yourself, and losing your breath because of the constant positive and negative G force hammer. What's fun about that? The truth of the matter is that wooden coaster designers make the hills shorter because they're cheaper than taller sweeping hills, which are way more fun. They're selling us a bill of goods with these shallow, high-impact exhaustion machines.
Let me just tell you, I rode this literally last week.. when I saw the video, I thought this was gonna be a little bitty easy ride, I thought WRONG .. The drop almost gave me a heart attack, it was scary! Then turns were really fast!
Yeah. I rode this for the first time today shortly after riding Verbolten, so I wasn’t expecting much. But I felt like Invader was a lot more intense than Verbolten.
One of my fav rides ever. Very fast and doesn’t slow down. Don’t under estimate it. Very fun for me. 74 ft drop... and it ain’t slowin down for the descent. 😉
So I had watched the POV before going on this ride and completely judged it as being this boring kiddie ride and in line I still wasn't very excited for it but boy was I wrong. It is now one of my favorites. Don't knock it till you try it.
An excellent addition to the park. Rode it twice yesterday. Got better later in the day once the track warmed up a bit. Good airtime for a family coaster. Liked it better then "Firechaser Express" at Dollywood which is another good family coaster. Not sure what some people were expecting but Busch Gardens needed a family coaster like this one. It'll be a great first ride for so many youngsters for years to come!
Lochness Monster was my first ride which is kiddie enough...This was just a waste to cover up the failing Blackstone company that bought Busch Gardens. OG, 1990's Busch Gardens would never
CrimsonKiller92 This is hardly a waste. It might not be huge but the park needed a good wooden coaster and another family coaster (all they had was Verbolten), and this is that. Plus, this has a ton of airtime which will be very thrilling for everyone. Coasters don't have to be big or steel to be good. This is easily the best in the park.
This was my first Rollercoaster I've ever been on. I was terrified but it actually was quite fun. My friend with me had been on other coasters much bigger and he said this one was actually pretty good for what it is. Feels a lot faster than what it looks.
I rode this bad boy yesterday and let me tell you. This video does not do this ride justice at all. It’s super fast and the curves are insane but the drop is super crazy because as you approach the tunnel this joker doesn’t slow down or stop, it barrels through at the highest speed and dropped so fast I could barely catch my breath. You will not be disappointed with this ride in the least. I’m thinking about taking a trip back to BG next weekend without the kids just so I can ride this again.
My son and I rode this for the first time today. I was pretty nervous about him getting in this because it was his first major coaster. So right after Grover we gave it a try. It was great. And had a little thrill. It's a great ride for everyone. Wonderful job Busch Gardens. Park needed something different.
Like others are saying - the camera makes this look shorter, slower, and less steep than it actually is. You are completely thrown around and are absolutely hauling. I don't do loops so I ride the wooden ones instead, and this is one of my all-time favorites. Lost my voice for the rest of the day after.
i rode this with my sister about a month ago and we were both terrified as it was the first roller coaster we've ever ridden. the picture we got from the ride was hilarious and it was the only picture my mum has ever bought from an amusement park.
Haven't ridden this yet, but it looks very similar to the first roller coaster I ever rode on back in the 70's, the Zippen Pippen at Libertyland in Memphis, TN.. the rollar coaster Elvis used to rent for the day. I could ride that all day long and never get tired of it.
Omg I rode this ride and all my friends said it was boring but NO. When you get to the top you hit this thing where it suddenly makes you go super fast and then you go really fast down the drop. After that it just goes through little “waves”. It’s really fun!!
Rode this for the first time today, and I loved every second of it, even though I am afraid of roller coasters. Got straight back in line for this ride for a second go.
@@preppygirlkat yes, but sit in row 3 or 4 since the very front and far back both have more intense ride experiences. the drop is the only part you should look out for, the rest of the ride isn’t that bad
I was told this was a kiddie/family coaster. This thing is WAY better than a standard family coaster. Honestly, one of the most underrated woodies I've ever ridden. Surprisingly intense G forces on here!
To anyone hating on the ride because of the video, you should wait until you've actually ridden the ride to judge it. This video doesn't do the ride justice. The ride is very fun.
Nice ride! Though I think they could do some more buildings or theming around the ride. Wouldn't wanna stare at that brown dirt ground while riding this.
BinaryGreen Got to ride this yesterday for the first time, and this would be my only complaint. With how nice everything in Busch Gardens looks you really would expect some better theming going on beyond the station.
This is my favorite coaster EVER! The day I went last summer I rode 4 times and I am NOT and will NEVER, EVER be a rollercoaster person! If you want a more daring but yet sorta easy coaster this IS the one! :)
I went on this at least a few times so far and I absolutely love it! I sat in the front row when I first rode InvadR back in May of 2017. BGW took a big step with this coaster since it's their first wooden coaster
POV rarely does justice for a GCI. They do excellent work with lateral and airtime. While this isn't one of their biggest, it's a solid family coaster.
we went there on opening day but the line was way to long. Since everyone was trying to get to it though, the lines for everything else were pretty short and we still had a great time. Two days ago we went again and finally got to ride it, and let me tell you, it may of been short, but it was worth the wait.
I waited over an hour to get on this coaster opening weekend. I'm a huge fan of wooden coasters and this one is probably the fastest one I've ever been on. Like others have said the camera doesn't do it justice at all - this thing is blisteringly fast and the drop-in rivals metal coasters. I lost my voice over the 2 minutes this ride takes.
This is pretty much the only rollercoaster I will ride, and I absolutely love it! I have severe coasterphobia, so, even if I would like to ride a certain rollercoaster, said phobia will prevent that. I'm getting better, though! In fact, my dad and I are planning on riding Verbolten the next time we go to Busch Gardens.
Me & my family went on this rollercoaster thinking it was chill, nope. It packed a punch, to me, I found it to be the strongest rollercoaster. This taught me that size doesn't matter.
I rode this yesterday for the first time and my dad said this was like flight of the hippogrif if you haven’t gone on that ride in universal it is a family coaster and I thought that was what it was next thing I know I’m on the ride screaming my head off and by the end of the ride I said to my dad “you said it was easier then that!!!” And he says “I LIED!!!” And everyone started laughing
A severely underrated GCI. While I’m not the biggest fan of twister layouts, as I prefer out and back coasters, this ride certainly packs a punch with how every element delivers in rapid fire succession.
The ride was so rough on this my phone fell out of my pocket and I had to let go of the lap bar to grab it and hold on for dear life… 8/10 would recommend. Would ride again.
This is a really good coaster. I believe its marketed towards families, but its pretty good and smooth riding for a wooden coaster. That drop is a lot bigger than it looks, I rode this thing 4 times in a row my first time. Never had delays due to maintenance, only due to some kids getting sick. Would highly reccomend for someone looking for an easy ride that's not to boring.
I haven't been to busch gardens since 2012 before I had a kid. I took my family here just yesterday. My 7 y.o. son was all hyped up because he could ride the bigger coasters now and he was excited to ride invadr because the video looked pretty tame. Well, he was scared to ride it so I told him I would ride first and see how it was. THIS COASTER IS NOTHING LIKE THE POV. InvadR kiss serious ass. I've never been so surprised by a coaster in my life. I got off amazed and thinking my son wouldn't want to ride it. He finally mustered up the courage to ride it ( mom said everyone was riding it so he didn't have a choice lol ) so he sucked it up and got on. Needless to say the roller coaster community gained a new coaster enthusiast today. It's all he has been talking about since he got off. This ride is a must when you go to busch gardens. Imo it's the 3rd best coaster in the park behind pantheon, and griffin just barely beats it out due to the insane first drop
I love this ride and after we got off I pretended I was crying because my mom didn't go on it and some girl and her friend said Jesse and they walked out of line.LOL 😂😂
I'm absolutely cool with it not being that big. Especially when the added tunnel at the drop. I'm totally ok with them building the supports with steel to comply with town regulations on the noise. What I am not ok with is why this looks like a CCI and not a GCI. There isn't a single banked turn in this entire coaster. It'd actually be uncomfortable if it didn't have the Millennium Flyer Trains. And yes the over-hype was stupid. That said, it did not need to be a giant RMC, but if they did that next, I'd have no issue. Honestly, in my opinion, even if it's a steel/wood hybrid, any big park can use two wooden roller coasters as long as they are different enough (talking to YOU SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE).
Ikr! I'm waiting for GA to get a fun, smooth woodie. El Toro is great but I mean come on it's pretty much a steel coaster. I think in about 2 years when they are due for a coaster they should get a Fun GCI where Batman and Robin the Chiller used to be, it would be awsome to name it like the Mr Freeze: Icy escape. Do you agree?
Your so right. El Toro is practically an RMC without the steel rails or steel topper track. Which, in all honesty, if they did that to it one day with new trains, I'd be pretty pleased, as I think it could use a re-tracking and since Six Flags is not good with proper maintenance this is probably the route needed. I could absolutely see a fun GCI or even a gravity group with a inversion in it coming to the park, though, I also wouldn't mind a not huge (as in keep it like 125 feet tall) RMC custom in the park. In any case, hybrid, regular, GCI, RMC, etc, they really should be getting another wooden roller coaster in either 2018 or 2019. I think 2017 they'll probably chill and add a flat ride maybe 2 hopefully, after the free spin coaster and justice leaque being back-to-back. Not sure if where Batman and Robin would be a good location but if not, honestly I'd like to see a new launch coaster (perhaps premiere, or a launched wing coaster) over there that is comfortable and works (aka not Kingda Ka).
OneAndOnlySound could not agree more on the El Toro subject. I think either a Sky Rocket II or Fun Woodie would be perfect, but where they would put it is questionable. Where do you think they would put it?
I'm not sure, but I really wouldn't be suprised if they shipped off Dark Knight to a different Six Flags and whatever coaster they chose to built, if put in that spot, if it's literally a sky rocket II or a custom like MM's Full Throttle, would be made to fit. One part of me thinks it'd be great to have a wooden coaster over there so there's one on each side of the park, but another part of me thinks there is plently of room for a semi compact GCI or Gravity Group wooden coaster where Rolling Thunder used to be. Then again, there's also still quite a lot of space in the back after removing those theatres where Joker is. If they went for like a wing or a launched wing heck it'd be way too soon but not being a fan of green lantern (stand up, and kinda too similiar to bizzaro in my opinion) some serious front park eye candy that'd be a B&M wing would be pretty sweet. One can dream. Still, I could also see one going over where Chiller was. I think they just have some open spaces and some coasters people wouldn't mind seeing being sent off somewhere else (oddly now, they removed the ones people liked, such as great american scream machine or rolling thunder).
I dont suggest riding it if you get headaches easily. I didn't have one until after I rode this one and I had to stop riding coasters for the day after that. Still have a headache the next day
It look's like it will be worth a ride! But nothing compared with the one what opened at King's Island this year! That one was mad fun and even more fun at night!
I rode it for the first time last summer. I would have expected something bigger for this park's first ever woodie but it's fine for what it is. It's a good GCI. There's some fun airtime moments, the theming is neat but it's no Lightning Racer
As everyone else is pointing out, this coaster is deceptive. Based on the video alone, it SEEMS fairly tame...and then you actually ride it and it kicks your ass.
Me and My Father saw this ride and assumed it be dull. After a full day fo queueing for front row seats this was the only one we didn't bother with We both still regret it and plan to fix that next time we go back
I like riding Invadr at night the first drop under the tunnel looks like a complete blur. I didn’t like waiting 2 hours to ride it during Christmas time.
let me say this It's great That Gwazi lives on In pieces Kinda Like Thunderroad's trains and Components and brakes ETC that Parks can Recycle that's awesome but this Seems like a family GCI
I rode it a few times when it first opened, I liked it! Just liked. Not loved. I definitely wish they went WAY bigger, but I understand why they did what they did. However, I rode it a few years after it opened and I was dumbfounded over how rough it became. 5/10 probably will not waste my time again.
it’s actually more fun than it makes it look in the video, i really liked it since i’m not a fan of big drops and there’s only one which the video makes look smaller actually the drop is a bit scary for me. it’s not the kind of rollar coaster where everyone screams though it’s more like “weeeeeeeeeeeee” but kind of quietly until it goes down something fast anyways if your watching this to see if you should bother trying it please try it i rode it with someone who loves big rollar coasters and actually said this was more “fun than it looked” so it’s pretty good for anyone. good for all ages (well maybe not everyone, it’s definitely a step up from kid rides)
For all the people who think this ride is lame but have never ridden it well your wrong, this is a smaller ride but this thing packs a punch for being a family coaster, y'all need to ride it for yourselves to understand

Veronica Emerson the only roller coaster I didn't go :(

OneAndOnlySound bro, our shared thoughts are beautiful 🤤. Def agree! Do you have an IG?
I loved this ride but the line was INCREDIBLY LONG
At least since i'm autistic I got to skip that hour long line and go through the exit and get on the ride first :D
@@lkjhb1 dont care

I am going to bush gardens Williamsburg this Sunday!!! so excited to ride this!!! 😃
Honestly one of the best rides in the park
Fantastic POV!
Coaster U are almost to a mil congrats!
This is actually a really good ride even though it's a family coaster, I'd say it's 3rd-4th best at Busch
When I rode this it felt like my soul left my body
I’m going to Busch gardens on Monday, I haven’t been there Since summer of 2016, I didn’t know ab this new coaster till now 😂
The tunnel is brighter than it looks
Do you think a 8 year old could ride it?
Rode this tonight it was a rush!!!😊😊 soooo fun!!!!😊
can't wait to ride this! lf it's open during the christmas town that is. ; )
I'm riding this tomorrow so excited!
I rode that twice when I went to Virginia with my family. It was really fun.I really enjoyed it.😊
I just rode this today. It’s VERY rough, but good for a beginner roller coaster. That and the woody woodpecker ride
The actual ride is way faster than it looks in the video
Is the drop actually big? I'm scared of big drops and my friend wants me to ride it lol I'm not scared of how fast it is though
It's like 60 feet, I rode it a few times,, it terrified me the first time but after that it wasnt that bad
Omg bro this drop in the back row is crazy 🤣
I dont suggest riding it if you get headaches easily. I didn't have one until after I rode this one and I had to stop riding coasters for the day after that. Still have a headache the next day
How did I not know about this one? I've gone to BG a million times & NEVER knew about this one...I guess it's been a while since I've been there.
I think for the next coaster and flat rides investments in the Seaworld Chain we should see a wooden coaster and drop tower at SWO.
Looks great for family types.
It look's like it will be worth a ride! But nothing compared with the one what opened at King's Island this year! That one was mad fun and even more fun at night!
Dude this thing is a lot bigger than I thought
I went on this ride on December Sunday the 29. It is awesome everybody should ride this ride.
I rode it for the first time last summer. I would have expected something bigger for this park's first ever woodie but it's fine for what it is. It's a good GCI. There's some fun airtime moments, the theming is neat but it's no Lightning Racer
Bro dude this is fun 😎😎😎
This ride is pretty fun but if u have ridden verbolten the drop on that isn't as bad on this coaster. My only gripe is that it is super shaky
I like invader at Busch gardens
best wooden ride ever
As everyone else is pointing out, this coaster is deceptive. Based on the video alone, it SEEMS fairly tame...and then you actually ride it and it kicks your ass.
The fact that I was scared to get on it and now every time I go to bush garden I get on this ride it’s super fast and the air time is good
Me and My Father saw this ride and assumed it be dull. After a full day fo queueing for front row seats this was the only one we didn't bother with
We both still regret it and plan to fix that next time we go back
I like riding Invadr at night the first drop under the tunnel looks like a complete blur. I didn’t like waiting 2 hours to ride it during Christmas time.
This ride gave me whiplash 😂
let me say this It's great That Gwazi lives on In pieces Kinda Like Thunderroad's trains and Components and brakes ETC that Parks can Recycle that's awesome but this Seems like a family GCI
I rode it a few times when it first opened, I liked it! Just liked. Not loved. I definitely wish they went WAY bigger, but I understand why they did what they did. However, I rode it a few years after it opened and I was dumbfounded over how rough it became. 5/10 probably will not waste my time again.
This ride is so fun
Got to visit the park over the weekend.. Such a beautiful place. To bad I live 4 hours away...
Not that far
I LIKED the coaster but an hour wait wasn't worth it and it was about 95°F out
Bianca my current situation. It’s 95 and the line is super long. Hope it’s worth it.
I rode this at night and I’m fairy sure the camera flash was absolute hell, the ride is great though
A lot of rides at Busch Gardens are very short huh.
This is an underrated ride for a family coaster. Gives surprising laterals. Better than Tempesto and DarKoaster.
it’s actually more fun than it makes it look in the video, i really liked it since i’m not a fan of big drops and there’s only one which the video makes look smaller actually the drop is a bit scary for me. it’s not the kind of rollar coaster where everyone screams though it’s more like
“weeeeeeeeeeeee” but kind of quietly until it goes down something fast anyways if your watching this to see if you should bother trying it please try it i rode it with someone who loves big rollar coasters and actually said this was more “fun than it looked” so it’s pretty good for anyone. good for all ages (well maybe not everyone, it’s definitely a step up from kid rides)
how does the stomach falling feeling of lochs drop compare to invadr drop?
