Love Verbolten.. loved the Big Bad Wolf as well.. but I honestly am glad that of all things and possibilities, Verbolten is what replaced the wolf.. this is truly a one of a kind ride and experience!!
People commenting on the “lack of theming”: this is a lights-on pov- it will look very different from a full-show pov. No theming has been removed or turned off. If you compare a full-show pov from 10 years ago to now, you will not see any differences.
You’re completely wrong, effects after the first turn, after brake 1, and before the vertical drop have all been removed. Not to mention the removal of the brake 1 curtain and the vertical drop effects just not working a lot. This just on the ride not talking about the trains and the queue
This lights on POV is incredible, thank you for sharing! I remember in its early years there used to be more forest imagery around the drop at 1:05! When I rode it last (over the summer lol) I thought maybe it wasn't illuminated, but they're gone completely! so interesting!
I went last summer too and noticed a lack of lighting in the building, what we did see was pretty weak or timed poorly (like the projection of the lady's face before the drop track)
I seen that same ride opperator at the right side in the start of the video. I remember telling her how one time this kid dropped his sunglasses onto the maintenence track just before the station. I was there when it happend.
I guess some effects only light if you get that particular scenario. I think he got Spirit of the Forest or Wolf Chase (the eyes). I love this coaster!
They need to add the effects back verbolten used to be so much better 10 years ago the building was full with scenery now it just looks like an Amazon warehouse
@@coastersskating4512they got rid of some of the scenery because people were hitting it, also they replaced a bunch of it with projections. But the lights are on so you can’t see them.
So I rode verbolten once, for the most part, I'm a bit scared of coasters so I only do the smaller ones, but after the first launch, that drop "felt" so intense, and looking at it with the lights on, its barely a drop at all. I cannot comprehend how they did that.
All these freefall drop coasters lack something the world first one doesn't, at 'alton towers england btw' the free fall drop is higher and the transition between the carriage moving on is far faster!
Agreed. This one doesn't seem like a drop, more like a controlled descent. The fake drop, then real drop then fast reverse direction move is a lot more pronounced on Thirteen. I'd still enjoy this one though.
@SteelScreamStudios awesome yes you did that is what we call a gift from the Coaster God's lol ...I'm glad you were there to film it really cool to see it with lights on
@@BradyPflugno, that’s not how it runs on a usual cycle. The other commenters are correct, it was running with multiple slow downs or stops; may have been a technical run.
@kinleybrault9642 we got lucky with the lights on but we are also there almost every weekend. The coaster tours can be purchased through Busch gardens however they will not allow video or pics inside the building while on tour.
@@SteelScreamStudios okay! Thank you so much! I used to work there for about a year and used to go just for fun all the time and had no idea this was a thing haha. I’ll definitely look into it!
Hopefully this Busch Gardens Park isn’t as greedy as the Tampa park. Please don’t operate the rides at half capacity on a holiday just to sell more 80 dollar fast passes.
1:40 If you use your imagination. You can see the outline of a human face on the wall directly in front of the coaster car. 😧 Unless that was deliberately put there and they decided not to use it with the lights off.
@LegendHusky, it is a face there and it does light up with the lights off. Check out one of our videos with lights off. It lights up before the track drops
It’s the longest ride in the park on a regular day (by far), and the stops are probably because this is a technical/test/manual run where every time the train brakes it stops completely and is let go manually, normally it goes smoother
actually my favorite and liked it more then apollos chariot + dark koaster when i went for mardi gras the first launch actually has a decent force that it made me dizzy a little
I mean, they could. There's still a few Arrow suspendeds hanging around. The park wanted something new over the maintenance of an old coaster with a defunct manufacturer. I think we all forget when Verbolten was built it was one of the most expensive coasters ever at the time. I always saw this as the partner coaster to Cheetah Hunt but I think this is a better ride.
the whole dark section is meh, there's nothing to see in there + the slopes are shallow - but that drop track + launch out of the tunnel to the final drop is pretty awesome! don't bring your coaster-fearing friend/kid on it though cause they'll probably hate the whole second half
@@OfficialEthanStillCodes-9229 There's even less to look at when the lights are off, the only thrill during the dark part is you can't see any part of the track so you don't anticipate where the turns/drops/brakes are, and most people don't expect the drop track - its a blind coaster, until you get launched into oblivion at 2:00
Being in here with the lights on for the coaster tour and standing under the drop track is probably my favorite experience ever
That is definitely an experience. That was our favorite part of the tour!

Nope there’s a difference I’ve been riding this since it opened they took out over half the effects in 2017 and even more in 2022
There actually is a difference they admit it even in the coaster tour
You can see some of the trees turned off during the launch

They needed them for DarKoaster 😂
They didn’t remove any

I absolutely love this ride! I think it is my favorite at BGW!
so thats what the inside is still more intense then i through a underrated gem of a coaster
I went on this for the first time thinking it was a pretty chill ride. That sudden drop was so awesome and unexpected! Auf wiedersehen!
Totally agree!
i came here cause i’m trying to get over my fear of roller coasters. watching this helped quite a bit lol. i’m planning on going on verbolten soon!
Would you want to ride verbolten with us to help get you over that fear?
I dont like roller coasters and this one wasn’t that horrible, i think you’ll like it.

That was actually cool af that it was gloomy and raining when you came out. The weather provided its own theming!
This is the first time I have ever seen a lights on pov of this ride
Omg when the drop happened when I went on I was screaming my head off no kidding

Awesome ride! Had lots of fun and thrills! Would do again but there is a big drop at the end
that drop is not big
I rode this a few days ago for the first time and loved it. My only gripe is that the times it slows down/stops are all a few seconds too long.
I'll be going to Williamsburg for a high school trip and I can not wait to ride Verbolten and Pantheon (hopefully if it's warmer)
Depending what month go to Busch gardens it'll probably be close to 100 or maybe 80s-90s
Look at the face in the leaves right before the freefall and look at the promotional poster for the film "Premonition". Oddly familiar.
it hits different with the dark stormy weather
They need to add the effects back verbolten used to be so much better 10 years ago the building was full with scenery now it just looks like an Amazon warehouse
Do you think maybe it looks like an amazon warehouse because, idk, hypothetically, because the lights are on?

There’s big electromagnets that hold the drop track at the top, so for about two seconds it’s a straight up free fall, if I’m not mistaken.
Good god they basically scalped 70% of the themeing out of the event building and removed the velour curtains that kept it dark in there
