I just want to say Thank You for the live feed!!! You are GOLDEN. I was stuck at work and missed the show, but I didn't 🤘
I live in the UK and am grateful for this bros
BLACK LIVES MATTER !!
Tyre Nichols life MATTER !!
Gapić się w komure i nagrywać zespół kiedy grają na żywo?!
I’m so jealous of everyone who went to Sick New World 😭 System sounded really good here
Best $300 I’ve ever spent
i work at the dennys near the fest and this person (customer) gave me free tickets for sick new world, best night of my life.
It’s was a great time but it was poorly executed.
I was front row for Korn. By the time I got to the front of the SOAD stage I was too wrecked to continue.
Also, the spinning third and fourth stages made for some terrible audio from Kittie. Probably others but the stages were too far apart from one another to traverse back and forth
This audio sucks how can you even tell
Audio was shit this was the only stage that worked the rest had sound issues and bands played half their set some only 4 songs and got cut off
So good. 😩
I saw them way back '05 or '06 at Allstate Arena,
with Mars Volta as the opener.. Best show ever. 🙌
What a coincidence cause I saw the mars volta live in the state where I live the same week I came to Vegas to attend sick new world and saw soad😂
System is System. Love them to the core. Amazing band! Amazing purpose of the band! Speak for the weak, for the poor, and the fallen. I fu@&$@& love them! I enjoyed them from A to the Z. I would do it again. Amazing experience!
11:06 love Serj's passion on "WHY THE FUCK DID YOU TAKE THEM AWAY FROM US, YOU MOTHERFUCKERRRRRRRRRRRRRR???"
It seems like Serj finally stopped singing like Squidward on the clean vocal parts of songs lol
MY FIRST SOAD CONCERT (That I watched after the real, live show which I wasnt in)
LMAO
Damn they still sound just amazing 🤘🤘🤘
THANK YOU SO MUCH for uploading this btw.
This might be the best Hypnotized live performance I've seen.
It was totally worth it flying from Jersey to be there in Vegas, a perfect weekend to explore the strips of Vegas and to be there at Sick New World seeing a band I’ve longed so much to see live at least once in my life was a night I’ll always remember. Thank you System of a Down 🤘🏼🤘🏼
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Serj's stage performance looks like an older, experienced stage magician with all his vocal tricks and hand gestures. I absolutely love this!
*”Hand gestures”? 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓*
obviously the time past, is not stop
I thought he would sound much worse by now, but it's still decent. Ofc it's no longer ~2002 levels, but it's still fine. I've seen them live in 2015 and it wasn't much different.
Unfortunately his old style of singing just doesn't have longevity, but I'd still pay to see them live. Atmosphere seems great.
😢serj has a voice weaker than ever
@@catmansweater5466 he's also a human and older than ever. but still managing to do an hour and a half set with many songs that most men find impossible to sing so it's still pretty impressive
31 songs man!!!!!! They were rolling!!!! That’s why they are the GOATS
They are not the goats they made one good album the self titled he is the crappiest life singer on that genre

@@prepperandson1399 u joust got no taste
@@duffy9900 no brother I have excellent taste but hey bro I support your musical opinion
I mean they did 13 songs in the time it takes tool to do 3 lol. Easy when all songs are 2 minutes
Serj and daron haven’t put this type of energy into a performance in awhile and it’s beautiful to see again
🙌
What energy? Serj looks bored the entire time like he's just going through the motions. He doesn't smile once the entire set. He looks miserable.
@@wrestleranger Serj always looks miserable lmao
@@wrestleranger shavo is the only one that enjoys.
@@wrestleranger i’ve seen serj bored and not happy at shows this is NOT that. plus how you can tell he never smiled this isn’t a pro-shot gig
There will *NEVER* be another System, let's appreciate them while they are here. 🖤🖤
? There's gotta be at least one other one
@@Boppsta712 not close. System has come out with banger after banger albums and their music still stands the test of time. Relevant today basically.
@@FrankieG98 100% agree. System is just special, I still listen to ALL of their albums from beginning to end. From Suite-Pee to Soldiers Side. I just wish I would have caught them live when I was younger in my teens.
A couple of reasons why Serj seemed “not into it”:
- Bad back
- He’s older
- They were playing 31 songs that night, dude had to preserve his energy
And he's doing that only for the money. Doesn't help.
@@Kirk666Hammett dont we all work for money? in his case he's already packed for life, he could retire if he wants.
@@gabgab841he could retire but that doesn’t mean the rest of the band feels the same way.
Metallica does 2 and a half hour shows and they're in their sixties. So bad excuse. Serj is just not into it.
@@BkNy02 AND Metallica don’t throw down like they did in the 80s to early 90s either 😂 plus with shows THAT long James can’t do too much or he’s fucked
It’s so weird they disagree with each other behind the scenes, but they get along just fine when they perform live. 😂
It's business. I dislike my coworkers but I have to act professional
John and Serj are family by marriage. So at least those two have to learn to get along.
I don't think they disagree with each other so much that they're not friends. John and Serj for one get along really well at the end of the day
They used to have crazy stage presence. That’s not there anymore. It does sound good though.
Honestly it was a strange energy during the set. Serj didn't "seem into it" even though his execution was perfect. It was amazing but still felt a bit odd. Only my opinion and difficult to explain

@@SalomeLuna69 he is a robot. He has no real emotion
11:05 HE DID THE SCREAM! I can't believe he actually had the energy to do that I was so surprised he did it
Like he can still do all that stuff, his technique is flawless and he has developed a very sustained voice with an agility lv like a mad man over the years, he just aint interrested in screaming all the time anymore, cause he finds it quite boring now that he´s gotten older
I was blown away when I heard him pull it off live

@@DrSprigs During BYOB, look at his face when he finishes the first "everybodys going to the party have a real good time", hes grinning ear to ear lmao

I'm not even at that part yet but I'm pretty sure I know exactly what you're talking about, And I do the same thing every time I sing that song and karaoke.
1:17:34 when Serj talks about 2020 Armenia we all stay quiet to listen and cheer against dictatorship. Was felt all throughout the crowd as it built up to protect the land. Beautiful. Thank you SOAD 🇺🇸 🇦🇲
It was a pretty amazing crowd all day. I saw no problems at all but witnessed polite people there looking out for one another on an ungodly HOT day. Good job once again metal heads 👏
Professional behaviour. That's what makes a good band. As a "fan" you can expect that, I think. The fans made them quite an amount of bucks, didn't we?
did you really though
@@lindsayrodriguez821 why wouldn’t I?
Armenian genocide is not acceptable, but it's all such a hypocrisy from Serg side, as he now fully supports Russian aggression against Ukrainian and he has nothing against Ukrainian genocide.
I actually cannot believe there are people on other videos i've seen of this performance claiming that serj and daron lacked the energy or "put no effort into it" vocally or just in general. Cause i have to say this is the best both of them have sounded in awhile especially serj....he had quite a few really impressive screams i wasn't expecting (that almost seemed effortless even at his age) and not to mention his growls sound as great as ever. Im so glad in this comment section im not the only one who agrees
100%
Bro they havent seen his screams in Soil, Peephole, and Question
I was there on this day. This performance was genuinely done well. Not sure what others expected? They all played and sang with HEART.
Bro I was there they brought the energy 100000000%
exactly i was there they sounded amazing, when u get older you can't do the same shit when u younger but idgaf if they're were fucking 80
playing up there i'm still moshing my ass off
John is a beast behind the kit! Simply impeccable drumming
He's fucking amazing
Seems like this is the most fun they had in years on stage!
1:17:17 old Serj scream
15:43 to hear serj meowing
You gotta respect Serj for going for the screams in the final chorus of peephole at 1:04:51. He seemed like he was struggling there but it sounded very good. Plus, the visual of him screaming and looking like he was suffering made the climax of the song creepier. Bravo!

@@morallyemptycorruptedmaggot know
If you really think about it, it's pretty impressive when any band plays an almost 2 hour set. Some bands go 2.5-3 hours. Not only the stamina of his voice or the drummers arms and legs and stuff like that. But this set was 34 songs/intros. That's 34 songs that he has to immediately recall not just the lyrics but the correct notes and phrases. The drummer remembering every drum part and pattern in songs that many are odd and non typical structures where it's not like playing a generic snare-kick-hi-hat pattern. Guitars have the same challenge. It's impressive to have that all memorized so well.
Last night was so amazing. 4th time seeing them & best yet! That 31 song setlist! I mean, they played IEAIAIO, Suggestions, Dreaming, Forest... SoaD was my first show back in 2005. Like I said, this one topped that! The crowd's energy, the setlist, the actual performance from each member & their synergy! Everyone brought everything to the table.
So happy to have enjoyed this performance with ya. Easily the craziest fest I've been to. Just being able to say we saw deftones, Korn and System back to back is absolute insanity
best one was 2015 in Yerevan.... the best show so far
First time for me. They sounded fucking amazing but I thought every concert was like that. And going by the comments, this concert was special.
I can’t believe they played Suggestions! That song is not easy to sing!
@@zahraserbout1160 Suggestions was definitely the biggest surprise for me! And they nailed it!
This is truly one of their best shows in the past years. I wasn't there but I watched a fan's livestream, and even though I was at the other side of the screen, I clearly felt this incredible, powerful energy. This was just something. Can't imagine how it would felt if I was there irl.
The guys felt so dedicated to it. I also was amazed by Serj's screams here. He was so good! All the guys were awesome that night.
Still in awe after the concert. System is one of the greatest band ever, and the most great in my heart forever. I'm so grateful to them for their existence ❤️
they amazin live and put on a show - its not no 45min set they go all out
It was absolutely mind-blowing being there
1:34:41 why does daron sound so innocent. Wholesome moment there by the way 😂
All these people recording and not dancing :/
Thank you for capturing the entire show... The dedication to hold the camera in the air for almost 2 hours. my arms were tired after 10 minute songs lol. bless you! :)
On the other hand the person behind this guy had to look at this guy holding their phone up the whole time. Plus this is super far away you can barely see the band
@@footstomppodcast4 false, i kept it at eye level for this video
Read some comments about Serj’s performance.
Reminder that he’s 56 years old. Trust me when you reach that age, metal at this speed and intensity can fuck you up. Head banging, screaming at the top of your vocal range and jumping around becomes very difficult. You must realise that SoaD’s music is VERY hard to perform live. One scream the wrong way and his voice could collapse. One head bang too fast and his neck and spine could spasm the fuck out. And that would end the party real fast.
To me Serj is putting all his energy into singing as best he can. He looks to me like he’s just being very careful with his health just so he can perform to his very high quality bar..
Oh and… yeh just to say… this band is one of the all time greatest bands to ever make music. They really are something special and we should enjoy them and protect them ..
Wrong on all levels, from "soad music is very hard to perform" to "Serj is putting all his energy into singing as best he can", he even said in one on his interviews, that he doesn't want to sing in soad anymore, so he just doesn't give a flying fuсk about performance, all he wants at this point is money
@@appEWsPoebony SOAD music IS very hard to perform. The speed of the music as well as the speed at which they sing at, the energy, the aggression, the focus for 2 hours. And at that age, even harder.
So you’re wrong on that count.
As for your other claim that Serj just does it for the money, please provide a source. Otherwise you’re just making shit up for some reason.
@@GIGIF184 clearly you are not even a musician, and you are free to look for a source for yourself
@@GIGIF184 I doubt he’s doing it just for the money, but he definitely could be a little more energetic. Just look at a band like Metallica. They’re all 60 years old and still bringing 110% to their live shows, and it’s even more draining for James Hetfield because he has to play the guitar and sing at the same time the whole show
Saw him at 44 Yeats old, fuckee was tired then. CHINO had more to give when they played together for WAR
Serj sound way better
11:10 YEAH
Serj still has it 🤟
28:54 knew i wasn't the only one who did that high pitched guitar sound
I'm so glad Daron finally addressed the lack of pits, I was getting super sad if this is what concerts are starting to look like. The band had great energy, but it felt draining with the crowd just standing there. What an amazing show to watch. Don't worry, Daron. I didn't stop moving the whole time.

It was awesome!!!! But the energy during the deftones was unbelievable... and the crowed was definitely ready for Turnstile too. What a day?!?!
Bro I gotta know, are you a fucking navy seal?? I was about 30 feet from the stage and got locked in there from Evanescence and on and I couldn’t do it anymore. I got to Spiders and had to call it quits. Healthy, in-shape 25 year old and idk how someone could last longer lmao
I saw them in 2001, that can't be beat.
@@cberkley4582 Lol man I dunno, I’m 28 in piss poor shape, I stayed at the front of the main stages until Chevelle was about done then aborted so I could grab something to eat, then ran over to the Sick Stage to watch Machine Girl and 100 Gecs with my zoomer friends. After that we slipped into the main crowd during Deftones’ set because my friend really wanted to be up front and in the pit for soad. I really thought I’d have to tap out but I think we kept going by the sheer power of the vibes and good hydration lol. My back was killing me by the end though, it took forever for everyone to exit the grounds after their set ended and during the walk back to my hotel on the strip I was the embodiment of pain. 11/10

Criticize all you want but uts not easy man to pull a show off like this. Plus their songs are so hard to perform live. Wow, it suprises me that they only played one song off of steal this album, it shows how the album is madly underappreciated, and truly underrated as well, but otherwise than that, glad SOAD can come back to the stage, and really put on a performance.
Not gonna lie, I was hoping they would’ve played Chic N’ Stu which is my favorite off that album and was a bit bummed that they didn’t, but overall it was a great time being there.
That's my fav album of theirs, surprising It doesn't get more attention

Serj tried to scream quite a bit for this performance which I think was him telling fans that he DOES care, since so many people seem to think he's not passionate about it anymore. He definitely struggled, but he's getting old and i'm sure its literally painful for him to do it.

I wish I was back at this festival. :( These guys were incredible. Serj is 55 y'all... I'd say he gave it all he could for a man his age. Incredible performance. Bravo, bravo!
Their Live Shows are SO amazing. I was at the 1st reunion show in the LA Colosseum. Front Row for like 3 seconds until the crowd rushed forward and I felt my Docs swinging off the ground as I was mashed against the other fans! We feared for our lives! We then pumped that adrenaline and the music into our souls and laughed with the other fans about NOT dying. A wild unforgettable amazing EXPERIENCE Seriously though, SOAD you were my first Rock CD purchase and I will always Love the four of you!

I saw them once quite a few years ago at Ozzfest 1999. They played right before Deftones and Slayer. It was cool seeing them back then because they were supporting the first album and I like that album. We can nitpick all we want, and compare them to when they were in their 20s and 30s saying they are 10% less energetic on a 2 hour set or whatever, but at the end of the day, these guys are in their 50s and still absolutely killing it. Awesome and super creative music that has stood the test of time, and I am so happy they are still playing it. Beats anything released nowadays, especially Taylor of a Swift, but really anything. I hope they make a new album someday! The fact they haven’t says a lot about how they want to be truly inspired and motivated to give it their all as a band before writing and releasing stuff. Explains why their track record so far has been flawless.

@@cmfymedia I'm glad that at least personally they've mended and according to John, the four of them enjoy playing together if it's live or in private. It just gets awkward whenever the idea of another album crops up.
@@DoomHasCame week wanted to stop playing and daron called him out on Twitter. The band forced him to delete the tweet haha. Or his manager, I forgot. But it was the only communication they gave about tourin for new music. Was around 2012
My favorite part is the drunk guy near the camera's mic drowning out Serj. I mean, who wanted to hear the genius anyway when you got off-key tone-deaf winner over there taking care of business?
I can't stop laughing at this comment. Absolutely based take but yeah I guess that's just live music for ya. Serj did sound pretty muted at times.
@@lykeaboss100 Oh, I know for sure. I hear ya. I just wanted to complain.
A couple nights ago in my home town Phoenix, I had a guy standing behind me showing M Shadows how it's done (and everyone else within a twenty-foot radius). The thing is, when I'm drinking at a show, that guy is usually me. I'm the fool belting it out. But when I'm not drinking, it's annoying. Haha! 😝
Millions of mobile phones, 0 moshpits ... sad :/
I really love the vocals from Serj as he gets older. His voice now is mesmerized, and I started watching some of his other work and he really is a talented vocally. I’ll never forget this performance.
