Great job Lora! It's great that your kids experiencing the way of farming. Now they know where the rice coming from how to produce it. It's a long process. That is why we don't want to waste rice. 💡The Philippines ranks among the countries that consume the most rice. In fact, the Ifugao province features 2,000-year-old rice terraces that were hand-carved into the mountains by ancestors of the indigenous people.
"Planting rice is never fun, doing it in heat of sun..." as we sing in Filipino. Mahirap na masaya. Hard work but happy people. It's more fun in the Philippines.
Our farmers are the most hardworking people in the world. But they are taken for granted by the government. That's why they decrease in numbers each year. I'm from Tarlac City and I'm one of the witness on how they suffer & lost interest in farming because from their parents till now life becomes more difficult and remains hard forever. Good to see that you're able to experience how difficult to be a farmer in the Philippines. Thank you Half Asian Family. Sir John, Lora, Eli, Esmie, Teo & Reyna ganda baby. 🇵🇭
Salute to our Farmers. I agree with your statement regarding our neglected farmer. In the future most of this land would no longer produce crops, how sad to see that from a rice producing country turned into a rice exporting one.....tssk
Correct. Farmers never get recovery money from their huge losses when calamities hit them. Govt officials seldom deliver these money to them indivudually but it goes into their town "projects or repairing roads and bridges"
I love you guys. Especially your kids they"re enjoying the mud. I"m proud of you Bro having a happy family at ipinakita mo kung papano ang magtanim ng palay sa bukid. Wish your family happiness and success in the Philippines.
That is a lot of fun!! I’m glad the kids got to experience walking on rice paddies. Lora, you did a good job on planting rice considering it was your first time doing it.
Farmers and Fishermen are the backbone of our society. Without them society won’t flourish. The government should help our farmers to adapt and use new agri technology just like our neighbor asian countries. They have been neglected since 1986 or have little support. I respect and salute our famers even they have little returns. God bless to all farmers in our country. When my kids are little, I told them not to leave a single grain of rice when they eat and remind how farmers plant them manually. Good job guys for allowing yourselves to be farmers in couple hours and letting your American family witness the hardwork and sacrifice of our farmers. Please continue what you do.
