Great first video! I am so glad you are addressing burnout. I keep telling myself I have no reason that I should feel burned out at this time in my life. But so often feeling overwhelmed and fatigued and less energetic than I want to be. Working on creating bigger chunks of time with no screens on and out of sight. Like you, I go first to my studio in the morning and spend a short time painting in a mostly dark room before I start anything else. Good idea to leave your glasses there…I may give that a try. Looking forward to more episodes. Thanks for encouraging us all on our journeys!
Thanks for being here Paula! Burnout is so real and so many of us tell ourselves we don’t have a reason - but that’s just some preprogrammed story and I’m amazed how much stigma is still floating around in our minds about it too. I do believe burnout is a symptom so figuring out the root cause is key and not always easy. Sometimes just changing routines helps filter that info to the surface. Excited to share and learn here ❤❤❤
I loved this intro video, Andrea. I’m so excited to hear more about your journey through burnout and how you use your journals every day. It’s a topic I have been interested in for years and am looking forward to following along with you. ❤
What a wonderful podcast! Your content is so relatable. I’ve been using knitting for the last couple of years trying to deal with burnout and have just tentatively dipped my toe into the journaling world. Looking forward to seeing your next episode 🧡
Thank you! Knitting is amazing therapy isn’t it? I make knitting a daily practice too it’s medicine for sure. I’m so happy to share my love of journaling in so many forms. It has truly saved my life a few times. Gotten me through hard things. And hard changes. I’m forever grateful for that resource. Looking forward to this community and growing with others here. So happy you are here!
Thank you for your podcast. I love your ideas for keeping several journals with different goals and contents. I would love to add more color and interest to my journal so that it becomes more than a daily record. To open a journal and see a creative inspiring space is my goal and I appreciate the examples you shared.
You are so welcome! My eyes love the feast of beauty in the morning and creating that within our journals seems like such a natural Landing for that expression 🩷🩷🩷
Found your channel through by the lakeside channel. Binge watching all your episodes. So far I am loving it. Will you ever talk about knitting or what you do with that beautiful yarn behind you? I am a knitter first, and a journalist/junk journal/watercolor second. Love lots of crafts!
@@MZPurple786 oh I’m so happy you’re here and enjoying! Love Sandy’s content so much too she’s so inspiring! I will be happy to do more knitting content too for sure/ in fact already planning a “Fall knits plans” vid soon. Maybe this week - I’ve been under the weather and lost my voice 😳for TWO WEEKS! It was so nuts! But feeling better now so ready to record again soon. Knitting UA-cam channels are my life! 🩷
@@marykerlin994 hey there! Thank you and I’m good truly! I filmed THREE yes THREE vids is then threw each one out! I don’t even know why? Fear? Uncertainty? I’m not even sure. But I have one planned to film and load Sunday/ we will be looking at my 2025 planner choice and what journals I’m considering for The New Year. Whew. Looking forward to being back in the swing of things!
Glad I found you! I have always been paralyzed by daily journaling because I felt it had to be perfect and beautiful. Thanks for giving me permission to let that go. I can always put stickers to cover the mistakes, right?! :)
@@Vanessa_crafts05 I’m so happy you’re here! Right? Why do we do that to ourselves? This space is a “permission granted” and “no shame ever” zone! 😂😂😂😂 stickers are so good right? 🩷
