Cool video. The series does get better, but it’s like an uneven quality rollercoaster throughout. Some stuff is a lot of fun, but others are cringe. But I’ve enjoyed it overall so-far (I’ve watched up to 1x10). Harvey’s storyline gets really good, Duela stays consistently great, a few scenes in the upcoming eps boarder line on Hitchcock type horror, Stephanie’s arc becomes a lot better, the kids start to give Scooby Gang vibes when they’re together, and… there’s a reason Turner was able to beat the Talon that fits with the entire arc of the Season. It was one I saw coming from the beginning, but it explains why they used a new character instead of Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damien.
@@jbhutch6707 I did too, it does gets better. I love Harvey Dent and Duela, a storyline we won't get. I believe Steph and Turner are the weakest of the group. Even though Kelley is not a great actress, she portrayed her Robin well. At least , I got my Superman and Lois renewed.

Someone might have a good idea but it has to be attached to a Star Wars or a Marvel or a DC continuity. And most times it does a disservice to both the new narrative and the beloved characters that have already been established. Usually, this is done for the sake of moving a narrative forward, so characters get nerfed or act bizarrely or are unrecognizable, save for the name and outfit. It's a bummer and it's probably going to get worse because there is so much money behind it, this will continue till it's run into the ground. They actually replaced a Batman show without Batman that no one asked for for another Batman show without Batman that no one asked for. Didn't we have like 8 of these already in the past two decades? The Zeta Project, Gotham Girls, Birds of Prey (never saw them, but I did research them), Arrow, Gotham, Batwoman (love the first two and the latter was getting progressively better and it sucks it got cancelled before they reached their full potential) and Pennyworth. I'm not even a Batmaniac, but people constantly comparing Arrow to Batman made me curious on the franchise with Gotham being the first Batman thing I watched all the way through and Batman the Brave & the Bold being second. I get the appeal, now. Screw Warner Bros; it wasn't enough they ruin their own movies and forbidding the TV division to use certain characters, half of which, they misuse, but they cancel half of their better shows like Stargirl and Legends of Tomorrow instead of moving them to HBO Max but keeping this show because they're cheap as hell!
They're not even safe on Max, that Batgirl show that was supposed to have Michael Keaton was gonna be on Max but was cancelled too because WB management is horrendous.
Well it's true about Arrow they wanted Batman but Nolan said no to any live-action tv when he was on Batman productions so as always they go to the back up which is Green Arrow. They first did it in Smallville just to do it again for Arrow. Think about it why didn't they just bring up comic GA with him being more liberal robin hood and Quippy? Also think about WHY THEY GAVE Arrow one of the CORE BATMAN VILLIANS IN RA’S AL GHUL when he would NEVER even consider looking at Oliver as his heir?

Misha Collins deserved so much better than this show. He really would make a good standout Two-Face in a better form of Batman media. He certainly has the versatility. His time on Supernatural proved that, what with him playing multiple characters with varying personalities at different points: the stoic and badass yet socially awkward Castiel; the average joe family man whom Castiel was using as a vessel; Castiel briefly possessed by a bunch of ravenous monsters (Misha really nailed the wide-eyed insanity in that instance); and Castiel possessed by Lucifer, in which Misha perfectly mimicked Mark Pellegrino’s mannerisms in the role (I still always preferred Pellegrino’s season 5 version of Lucifer and thought that the show did the character dirty in later seasons by making him into a joke).
Small idea if anyone would like to add please go for it. The CW and DC seem to have a way of ruining and altering all the superhero canons they try to bring to live action. Batman is either dead or a senior citizen, like in Batwoman and Titans or they make up characters just for teen dramas. The Flash series somehow morphed into some feel good lifetime soap opera (thanks Eric Wallace). So why would Gotham Knights be any different? Why is Batman dead before Harvey Dent becomes Two Face? I know DC is typically campy and corny but the creators of these shows seem to take it to the next level.

Weirdly enough I see the exact validity in the references for "people who know too much about Batman" presented in a project that otherwise doesn't seem to care much about the source material it's adapting. That's how I felt seeing the 2017 Power Rangers movie. Like how are they going to name streets in that movie after Cities from various Power Rangers seasons while doing almost everything else they possibly can to make it non compatible to the source material it's based on? Also why can’t any tv channel company never have a good show to use a character or it’s universe without having to go around it like this show or Gotham like bruh if wb and dc have you permission to use theyre universe or character for a show without it being apart of the dcu they’d make so much money have so many viewers
Baked Lays are good BUT if you’re looking for potato chips and that’s what you get, you’re gonna be sadly disappointed… but for their own thing, yeah, they’re good 👍
I couldn't finish the first episode. I watched reviews just to make sure i didnt make a mistake.....i didnt. It sucks cause i really like misha from supernatural and was looking forward to his 2 face. Ughhhhh
I NEVER expect 89, Returns and soon Flash level quality in anything else Batman. You just can't reach that bar, no matter how hard they try. But, Gotham Knights did give me Duela. So, I'm giving it a pass. Duela is consistently amazing.
I gave up after 3 episodes. These characters are all paper thin and you can't buy them being a good replacement for batman. Why are they hiding out in a high school clock tower. Why do the gotham knights not have any costumes to prevent them from being tracked. Making the court owls responsible for the waynes death is lazy. The whole point of joe chill killing his parents was that it was a random event that inspire him to make sure no one have to go through the pain he went through
I actually am a fan of Gotham Knights and I was just curious why people hated this show, so I clicked on this video. I am not saying that this show is a masterpiece, but even tho it enters the world of Batman, I understood the name of the show more like "tales from Gotham", if you can call it like that. There were some cringe parts, but it It wasn't that noticeable to me, and also there were illogical, but for me it was more of comfortable series and for a person that doesn't know that much about DC it was a pretty cool show to watch imo.
I'm just tired of studios being to fucking scared and pussy to put out a Legit Live Action Batman TV show. Say what you want about Gotham. But it when it had it's highs.. it had it's highs. Batman lends himself to well to a TV show format. He's a detective!!! Multi-episode mystery. Overarching plots! Like he's so perfect for it. I mean look at the Daredevil TV show, and the Punisher TV show. It's so.. absolutely doable if they aren't afraid to give is a good workable budget.
When I have the show on it’s just in the background cause it doesn’t interest me and I’m a huge Batman fan since I was 5in 1989 when I found Adam west’s Batman and I’m seeing the flash just for the 2 versions of Batman and when looking the show up online the title is often mistaken for the video game of the same name not saying it’s a fully terrible show but it doesn’t really feel like a Batman related project like Gotham did and Gotham was fantastic it kept me coming back for more all 5 seasons Gotham knights feels like a last ditch effort to keep dc shows alive on the cw after the company nextstar bought a majority stake in the station getting 37 affiliates and looks like they are trying to restructure the network by canceling a lot of its programming
I want to see you review ANYTHING else. My interest in this show is still hovering somewhere between "Meh" and "I'd rather rip my nuts off with a vice clamp."
Vee loves Gotham but hates Gotham Knights…I personally wish neither existed but they’re practically an inch away from each other. It’s like asking what part of the sewer smells better? 🤷♂️
It’s too late now by the looks of it but since they refuse to give Bruce Wayne a show maybe they could’ve made turner into Bruce in everything but name maybe turner could’ve been his current robin then when he died he took up the mantle it basically trick the network and wb into making a Batman show
I didn't ask for any Batman show. I didn't ask for any CW show. I just wanted a good story, and there I was, trying and failing to enjoy Superman and Lois (it's AWFUL, and obviously most people agree, which is why the ratings have fallen every single season to date), and there's this other show on after it, which I never heard of. And I figure what the hell. And a few eps on, I'm obsessed with it, because the characters are actually interesting. They aren't spandexed action figures striking heroic poses. They have actual personalities. It's refreshing. So obviously it's going to get canceled, because CW is a dying network. But I really loved it. It was my favorite show, because it had something to say besides "Wow, these people are so cool and kickass and have neat costumes that would work great at ComicCon." I'm sorry all you want is a scripted video game, but since I don't play actual video games, because I've achieved adulthood, later for you. :)
How is an animated movie the the same name of this series is 10x better than this series because it takes place in an established universe being the dark knight trilogy.
Gotham needs it's true hero. I think you should keep this series going. Fuck the naysayers, this show does indeed pick up as it goes on. It just suffers from a problem I see with a lot of shows trying to get off the ground running in that it has early installment weirdness.
Can we finally get a live action Batman show where Batman is in it? GOTHAM NEEDS ITS TRUE HERO DAMNIT!!!
Not just that, there is not even Nightwing, Red Robin, Red Hood, Barbara Gordon or any mainstream Bat-family member as a protagonist.

I really wanna hear your opinion on the Wayne's different murderers
gotham needs..... your ep 3 review 😅
Baked Lays are good BUT if you’re looking for potato chips and that’s what you get, you’re gonna be sadly disappointed… but for their own thing, yeah, they’re good 👍
Vee your suffering is my favorite thing on UA-cam
Also where is Damien?
I couldn't finish the first episode. I watched reviews just to make sure i didnt make a mistake.....i didnt. It sucks cause i really like misha from supernatural and was looking forward to his 2 face. Ughhhhh
I like the intro
I feel like it should be noted that this show has nothing to do with the game
Plus atleast the game is somewhat enjoyable
Gotham needs its true hero.
Can we just have jason todd show up and show these kids how you hunt someone down
Can you do I video with your top favorite Batman stories
I NEVER expect 89, Returns and soon Flash level quality in anything else Batman. You just can't reach that bar, no matter how hard they try. But, Gotham Knights did give me Duela. So, I'm giving it a pass. Duela is consistently amazing.
I gave up after 3 episodes. These characters are all paper thin and you can't buy them being a good replacement for batman. Why are they hiding out in a high school clock tower. Why do the gotham knights not have any costumes to prevent them from being tracked. Making the court owls responsible for the waynes death is lazy. The whole point of joe chill killing his parents was that it was a random event that inspire him to make sure no one have to go through the pain he went through
Gotham is begging for it’s true hero
Spoiler alert Turner and Duela do end up hooking up.
Gotham needs it's true hero
This show looks like a high school video project
I actually am a fan of Gotham Knights and I was just curious why people hated this show, so I clicked on this video. I am not saying that this show is a masterpiece, but even tho it enters the world of Batman, I understood the name of the show more like "tales from Gotham", if you can call it like that. There were some cringe parts, but it It wasn't that noticeable to me, and also there were illogical, but for me it was more of comfortable series and for a person that doesn't know that much about DC it was a pretty cool show to watch imo.
That's not entirely true because despite what people have said, it's actually a pretty good show.
Gothan needs its true hero🎉
I'm just tired of studios being to fucking scared and pussy to put out a Legit Live Action Batman TV show. Say what you want about Gotham. But it when it had it's highs.. it had it's highs. Batman lends himself to well to a TV show format. He's a detective!!! Multi-episode mystery. Overarching plots! Like he's so perfect for it. I mean look at the Daredevil TV show, and the Punisher TV show. It's so.. absolutely doable if they aren't afraid to give is a good workable budget.
putting bat in front of things is fine. its just 3 letters.
it's definitely not him; if you were a hunter, you'd know just how immensely talented he is
Gotham needs it´s true hero
When I have the show on it’s just in the background cause it doesn’t interest me and I’m a huge Batman fan since I was 5in 1989 when I found Adam west’s Batman and I’m seeing the flash just for the 2 versions of Batman and when looking the show up online the title is often mistaken for the video game of the same name not saying it’s a fully terrible show but it doesn’t really feel like a Batman related project like Gotham did and Gotham was fantastic it kept me coming back for more all 5 seasons Gotham knights feels like a last ditch effort to keep dc shows alive on the cw after the company nextstar bought a majority stake in the station getting 37 affiliates and looks like they are trying to restructure the network by canceling a lot of its programming
whats your opinion on this Jim Gordon
I want to see you review ANYTHING else. My interest in this show is still hovering somewhere between "Meh" and "I'd rather rip my nuts off with a vice clamp."
the casting for Carrie Kelly must have been done by Mr Woke Magoo lol predictable for the current year
Vee loves Gotham but hates Gotham Knights…I personally wish neither existed but they’re practically an inch away from each other. It’s like asking what part of the sewer smells better? 🤷♂️
Not even close
I’m glad they made Harper as insufferable as she is in the comics and Young Justice. What an awful character.
I hate when dc makes a teen team show based around batman lore. Ex batwoman show
It’s too late now by the looks of it but since they refuse to give Bruce Wayne a show maybe they could’ve made turner into Bruce in everything but name maybe turner could’ve been his current robin then when he died he took up the mantle it basically trick the network and wb into making a Batman show
I’ve never been so excited for the sequel to a video about a show this bad
It was my favorite show, because it had something to say besides "Wow, these people are so cool and kickass and have neat costumes that would work great at ComicCon."
I'm sorry all you want is a scripted video game, but since I don't play actual video games, because I've achieved adulthood, later for you. :)
How is an animated movie the the same name of this series is 10x better than this series because it takes place in an established universe being the dark knight trilogy.
They really love making shows without batman even in it smh
Ngl, it's kinda growing on me. Surprisingly.
It’s generic CW Drama with a DC cover, but still bad
What *precisely* makes *_this_* Robin not look like a Robin?
Mostly the costume. She looks nothing like any Robin I’ve ever seen
@@matthewjoyner1595 mostly? So what's the rest?
The LED lights goggles
Gotham needs it's true hero.
I think you should keep this series going. Fuck the naysayers, this show does indeed pick up as it goes on. It just suffers from a problem I see with a lot of shows trying to get off the ground running in that it has early installment weirdness.
everyone's wearing trashbags.
Gotham needs it's true hero :D
