Good god, Domen and Hildisvin were both initially written in English? I thought for sure they must have been Swedish first. The Swedish lyrics for Hildisvin especially is full of great setups and knockdowns: Stridsgrisen kommer, bäva och se! Så vilja gudarna, så skola ske. Domen has a little less of that, but the second half of the Swedish theme feels like it was written in response to recent events: Se de bränder som förgör, hör än korpar kväda. Eftermälet evigt hörs, i domen över död man. Anyway, it was a cool interview about a great album. The best folk music was always written by good men living through hard times, and the gods only know we need as much of that as we can get right now.
