John 5 Talks About How He Got Into Rock's Biggest Band's (Rob Zombie, Motley Crue)
People forget that Lars is an excellent arranger. The Metallica songs you love wouldn’t flow the way they do without him. I believe he also wrote the master of puppets riff
Vince is like a God for them, they, the 4 of them never ever achieve a quarter of what Vince achieved, Never.
From what I have seen in other interviews with the band members, this is the only guy that may not have really been in on the joke. He was in an actual Van Halen cover band, and he took his role in it seriously. Satchel (another word for sack) was an instructor at GIT, and joined in the act for fun, and put on a costume and persona for the act. The rest of it seemed to follow his lead, while this guy was along for the ride.
hahah..He has the year totally off, absolutely no way Vince Neil got on stage with them in 1991, they didn't even exist yet. Russell Parrish (Satchel) didn't even start playing in their Van Halen cover band The Atomic Punks until 2002, Then they started Steel Panther, which was first called Metal Shop, Danger Kitty (Only for the Discover commercial) then Metal Skool and finally Steel Panther.
In Tanzania, an Emirati hunting firm has been linked to human rights abuses in Loliondo regarding thousands of Indigenous Maasai for years now, and yet apparently *both* sides of this issue don’t even seem to care: ua-cam.com/video/bAMKf3VqBG0/v-deo.html
Perfect intro for hate to feel
I luv this
Mike Muir (with ST & Infectious Grooves) was on the same label Epic records (a subsidiary of Sony ) as RATM ...LOL
I would be the first to admit Lars' drumming can be lacklustre. But everything Dave said about Lars and Metallica is true, and if nothing else Dave is an authority on both drumming and the reality of making it in the music business
Yep... well said!
Wasn't he ragging on Lars a few years ago?
The media takes quotes and makes them crazier than they are for clicks... He has been homies w/ Lars for a long time.
It’s so mainstream these days to complain about Lars. He was my inspiration when I began to play the drums. He played, and still plays, at a level most drummers would dream of. He belongs up there with Lombardo and the other greats. 🤘🏻🇸🇪🤘🏻
BulletBoys cover of this is off the hook!!!!!!!!!!! Torian brings it.
I fucking love Bullet Boys and need to look this up. Torian is a hard ass 1000%
@@brutalplanetmagazine It's truly amazing. I've played it over and over and over . . . Someone said it's better than the original. That's up for debate but it's stellar!!!
@@brutalplanetmagazine ua-cam.com/video/f0p3immRLXM/v-deo.html
Guy made his channel named "PunkRockMBA" but gets mad cause audience only wanna hear about punk, rock and metal... How ironic is that. He's coping so hard in the interview, maybe super depressed. "I have no interest in music"...? Dude, you have a Morbid Angel tattoo and wrote for MetalSucks before UA-cam and ranked album tier lists on his previous Twitch streams. Dude's just coping and depressed over something. Obviously he's a major music nerd like a lot of others, and there's nothing wrong with that. Weird how he wanna distance himself from that cause of negative trolls. Sure, negativity got to him, but ending it like this? Not smart at all, especially in terms of marketing.
He really has a Morbid Angel tattoo?!?!?!
@@brutalplanetmagazine yep he loves music, obviously he does, he made an alternative music channel. a weird thing to do if you're only in it for the money right? that's why the whole interview is just so weird. he prob started cause he loves music, and then now, many years later he's depressed cause of negative comments and whatever else and says he "only did it for the money" and "I have no interest in music". big cope
Finn “Filthy Lucre” McKenty, you won’t be missed.
Who would've though vids on nu metal and obscure metal genres was so lucrative.
lol
everybody loves Lars, he is is big influencer and one of the main reason why we started drumming
lol
Doesn’t he have a questionably young girlfriend or something like that?
Maybe... that whole thing is based on rumors and hearsay though so we try not to deal in that type of gossip. No one is perfect (including us) but yeah.
He likes and knows about90s hardcore, but he had to talk about nu metal garbage to make money. I don’t think he was being disingenuous about bands in the hardcore scene, but those bands don’t get views so he covered a bunch of slop he didn’t like or know about
Ahhhh ok... this actually makes the most sense of any take I've heard yet. Thank you!!
What's funny is I can't find him AT ALL on linkedin, so he either deleted his linkedin or he BLOCKED ME SPECIFICALLY.... Although I will admit I've posted comments calling his shit out on linkedin before....
He blocked you, I can see his LinkedIn profile without problem
@ Bahahaha YESSS cope and seethe Finn
lol what a puss
Buddy doesnt want to do youtube anymore, hes cashing out, let him be, or don't, youre just generating more money for him by making videos bashing him and giving him attention, every last one of you likely went to his channel and tried to throw your two cents in but he gets the last laugh as you generate more money for him.
This. Truth is all these copy-cat content makers need to make the same "analysis video" on Finn because they lack interesting new ideas.
I wish this was true broseph. We don't make shit but this was a relevant topic to discuss. I wouldn't be surprised if Finn did this as a marketing move to gin up controversy and talk... if he did it worked.
He simply ran out of ideas and making videos about music didn't motivate him anymore. His claim that he never cared about music is obviously a lie considering he spent his entire 20's in the hardcore scene, has a body full of band tatoos and wardrobes full of bands' merch. It's probably a mix of genuinely losing interest in music, as he's growing in his 40's, and of resentment for the "scene" in which he doesn't belong anymore, because he's in his 40's with a family and also in multiple videos said how the "scene" ruined him for as much as he also loved punk and hardcore (he talked about how his life might even have been better if he never had come in contact with punk) because he trashed his 20's spending time with loser fake friends punk/hardcore guys, and also it's partly because he genuinely doesn't have anything to say anymore about music and so making more videos about ripping other peoples content or about popular bands he never cared for (SOAD etc...) bored him. Also he claimed how he stopped going to shows and when he goes he just thinks about when the show will end because he wants to go back with his wife and kid. His whole claim about this being a big plot to make money and that he never cared about music is typical of Finn McKenty, meaning he exaggerated what he actually meant and got thousands of people angry at him for it.
The last bit you put is the reason I never liked him he always came off as an smug dick who spent most of his time shitting on bands and scenes most of his takes where there 2 upset people and him running away and being rude to his fans just proves why I blocked him of my feed after watching a few videos 3 years ago he is a massive C world 😂
I think this is the real answer
Yep. He can't take criticism and spent too much time on reddit reading about how everyone hated him.
Makes sense.
He’s a wise man, he did it because he’s saw a marketing opportunity, not for the love of the art. Abandon will hop on a bandwagon with the latest trend for a cash grab.
Always got a slimey vibe from him, this coming out doesn’t surprise me and hammers in a sociopathic undertone for him.
Doesn’t he have teen girlfriend?
Finn has said in several videos that he thinks marketing and brand recognition is more interesting to him than anything else in the music world. Him leaving UA-cam was always going to be an eventuality. Dude is just a slick shit suit and tie guy in a punk/metal costume.
I would watch his channel and I never got bent out of shape when he would say stuff against bands I love… It’s funny that two weeks before I noticed he hadn’t posted anything until I seen this interview when he said he quit… I was like oh ok then he goes and goes off like this…. I don’t care either way but it’s the way he went about doing it…Like you said.. he didn’t even have to say half the stuff he did… if he would have just said he’s moving on from UA-cam to do more consulting work, thanks for the support… no one would say anything… nothing wrong with doing something new but damn…for the ones like me that liked his channel… like fxk dude I wasted my time watching this channel listening to him… Then him saying he’s going to LinkedIn as if it’s better quality… I’m on LinkedIn and it’s the biggest flake fest for people to ghost you and not respond to you…. So good luck to him there… He burned this bridge so badly so even if he thinks about coming back down the line because no matter how much you think you hit your financial goals, it’s never enough… he’ll be back one day and no one would like him forget it when he does.
He did the same thing you're currently doing. Not working a real job and sitting around talking about other people who have talent. Weird af
He came out and said fuck you to the people who actually watched and liked his videos. That's the problem here.
fair... but you clearly didn't watch the video
Thank you
It's good that this snob pretending to be a punk will leave UA-cam!
Lars plays the way Jamez and Kirk want him to play, not fast with a lot of double bass drums because Jamez and Kirk want their guitars to get all the attention. It started that way with Justice and continues
Would love to hear Seal and Jerry do something together!
Best comment!
If everyone would retire when they should this wouldn't be a problem! And Dave we know your singer died but doesn't mean you have to stoop to liking lars now! 😂
It's absolute bullshit that Lars isn't a good drummer. Go listen to 'Battery' and tell me that isn't awesome drumming?!
One of the better more thought out videos on this 🤟🤟🤟🤟
🙏 🙏 🙏
Finn is the biggest poseur ever! I knew the dude was a fraud and a douche.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Jordison sounded great!
Lars was right
Dave is the most insecure out of all of them. Lol
I live in Ohio and man I wanna hear just Acid Bath not go to the Festivals out here lol been a fan since 95
Really hope they do a tour
@brutalplanetmagazine yeah cause I'm not trying to be around too many dam people , I live about 2hrs from the Columbus and Mansfield shows but those prices are steep for a family guy like me lol but man just to hear them live would be something amazing
They simply have to do a tour... I am betting these festival dates will generate the interest they need.
This is a fact there is no Metallica without lars or any of them
They seem to be able to switch out bassist and lead guitars....
@@sean4236 musically, they’ve definitely got much lazier after cliff passed, and the only reason why AJFA sounded the way it did is simply because that album was mostly inspired by cliff. jason sucked musically, so you get load/reload shit. roberts a great musician and he keeps metallica on their toes with their newer stuff. and honestly, dave wouldn’t fit in metallica past 1983. a dave mustaine solo on RTL would sound out of place as fuck. and if it wasn’t for metallica or exodus, kirk wouldn’t be in a metal band. he’d be a blues or session guitarist.
🔥🔥🔥
Love Pantera stories... don't matter who they are
She knew he crashed a helicopter.. first thing she said was..don't you know he killed a Callhoun kid in Asia...
Bass solo take 1???
Wrongfully accused? The opening lyrics are "Guilty as charged".
Louder than life is $300 for four day GA and they just announced Acid Bath is playing in 2025 & Slayer is one of the headliners. I never understood the expensive one day festivals because you can only see a few of the artists.
She should have never allowed any of them to go up in that plane with that coke head. She doesn't even remember exactly when it happened.
I love that scream
I love DH and Devin. Just found this out. In disbelief of how many artist Heavy Devy has touched with his madness.
Hi Dustin. This is Fulvio Cecere, the Director, Executive Producer and Creator of The Jersey Sound. The REAL one. I'd love to come on the show and tell you the truth about the project. It was supposed to be a six part series. We had two episodes almost done and the other four were well on their way. Then the distributor and Randy basically destroyed it. I did 296 interviews. I can tell you the history of music from NJ, They destroyed my vision and dream. What you saw was a post it note. It was supposed to be a Ken Burns like series on steroids. I went as far back as the Lenni Lenape Indians. You have no idea what it could have been.
Have both recordings and I love bleed me an ocean among others.
