If you wanna farm awesome OP metal but dont have the GS use trickster card on a portal realm. For me trickster makes it so monsters drop ore instead of meat bones and leather. Trees drop monster mats instead
@@kratosthegodofwar7961 It can be bought in the Gloom Forest realm. But it requires a rare ore that comes from a later realm. Starts with Ay for the name.

Great video and good info! I just wanted to share my pistol build. I crafted all parts but the action from Pursuit ore, I got lucky in the first 5 hours of the game and looted Action (Bombardier) which is the same as pursuit except it replaces the durability with miasma resist of 20%. This will help with the red smoke throwing enemies. When first crafted it came out at about level 85 and once upgraded to blue it sits at 157. So it's a Webley revolver with 1012.5 ranged dmg, x3.1 crit dmg, and 81 range rating. I added a feather charm, that gives it zero dmg fall off due to range and a purple crit dmg orb. It does almost 5k per headshot and 1.5 - 2k for body shots, with regular ammo.
He doesn´t explain what I came here to find out. Various metals have tiers not stated in their description but you can sort of look at the stats and guess. The Sun Giant ingots craft an "action" of level 45, the pursuit ore only does level 31 .... and the level of the gun does matter in terms of damage, the problem being that the level 45 action comes with crappy stats while the pursuit ore has perfect ranged weapon stats. Everything the Sun Giant ingots make is simply of a much higher level, how much a difference that makes I don´t know. I am not at home and can´t craft to check "tier vs selected stats mats".
@@AurioDK I'm not sure if that is entirely correct... the lvls I mean. Like I stated I did all but one part of my pistol with pursuit ore and it came out in the 80s. The action like I said had the same exact stats of pursuit except it replaces durability with miasma resist. I believe that if your theory is correct the lvl of the weapon is based on the highest tier part not an average. If it were an average the action I used must have been 200+ which wouldn't make sense to me unless for some reason the devs think miasma resist is that much more valuable than durability.
@@emptymaggaming3863 I am not sure now either, I tried to follow up on my words by making a Sun Giant rifle, seems that regardless of component level the max level of the finished rifle is 99 before any other alterations. I am not much of a grinder though, so not doing more tests :)

In it's current state, you can buy 1 water for 10 essence dust and extract it for 40. This means that if you repeat that cycle, you can get thousands of essence dust within a couple minutes. Then buy all schematics, build a few crafting benches beside the trader and upgrade your gear, all in one spot.... rock on 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
You failed to explain tier vs stats, that´s why I came here :). Sun Giant ingots make an "action" of a far higher level than pursuit ingots, however the pursuit ingots have the desired stats. So it becomes a matter of tier vs stats, I do know that item level matters a lot but so do the stats, was hoping you would have explained the difference.
In regard to harvesting trees, you mentioned chopping down the stump as well. While it is true that trees do not regrow on their own, making it seem like it is a good idea to always go ahead and harvest the stump for the extra wood, that is not always the best practice. This is because there are at least two ways that trees can regrow. First, the spirit elk-like creature, Carnute, casts a spell that will instantly regrow trees and plants in a fairly decent radius. Also, there is an Enchantment, Regrowth, you can apply to your tools and cast which will also regrow trees as well as fiber and stick plants in a fairly small PBAOE radius. In the case Regrowth, it cannot do that if the stump is gone, and I believe the same is true of Carnute's spell. That means two things. First, with the Regrowth enchantment, you can find a small group of trees you want to harvest, chop them down (leaving the stump), then cast regrowth to instantly regrow them. You can then rinse and repeat until you gather all the wood you need without having to run around. You cannot do that if you chop down the stumps. While Regrowth does do considerable damage to the tool you cast it from, because it will also regrow the nearby fiber and twig trees, you can simply harvest those to turn into Essence dust to repair as you go. Second, while it may not be very practical to leave the stumps hoping that Carnute will wander by and cast his spell, you can end up in a situation like I was in last night. I was in my Gloom Forest realm looking for T2 Trees. I found a small grove of about four of them mixed in with T0 Wood as well as Barberry bushes and T2 Plant Fiber bushes. I was going to apply the above strategy, but Carnute was just down the slope from me, and as I cast my first Regrowth, he wandered by, and regrew everything. I then harvested some more, and he came back by and regrew everything again. I then stopped wasting time targeting only the T2 trees, and chopped down as many trees as I could as quickly as I could while also gathering all the berry plants and T2 Fiber i could, at which point he wandered back by and regrew everything again. This went on for quite a while. By the time I was done, I had over 100 T2 Wood, over 150 T0 Wood, close to 700 berries, and something like 500 T2 Fiber, all without leaving something like a 10 square meter radius. Chopping down the stump will give you more wood, but keep in mind that it is not always the best practice.
Main thing that hobbled me was the augment cap on the benches! I had to make a second bench with just the gun and tool augments near it in order to get them listed properly.
