I’ve lived all over Canada, from Alberta where i was born to Saskatchewan to Ontario to Nova Scotia and i gotta say this kind of music makes me proud to be Canadian and makes me proud to live on the East Coast! Big cities, lots of people, lots of this to do and lots of Hip Hop to discover! Dope country fr
Honestly, it’s one of the greatest music gems I ever found.i put it among other epic lucky shots. by a random choice, which is based on artist name/ album cover) suppose prior UA-cam times, existed near zero probability catch it through endless rows with strange records made by mad men. For instance: - funcrusher plus and little Johnny from the hozpitul, - binary star who are the masters of the universe, - dred Scott by dred Scott (don’t know anything else about him except really really huge album) - Latyrx - latyrx ( it’s something unique with no analogue, opening track as internal bicameral mind dialog) - Subterranean - Urban Thermo Dynamics - Jean grae and many many others If digging for a long time in the direction opposites the punk smooth shit direction, you’ll be gained much more you able to take. With fully respect to all who create from the old to the new, and all who create its worth. * Kool Keith of different types , scaramanga, Dan the A, del, don, Kut master Kurt, q-Bert, and large P out of any ratings, just because beyond.
This isn’t on Spotify, Apple Music, sound cloud, nothing. I guess UA-cam for life for the boys on this one. Even the vinyls and cds of this are hundreds of dollars.
Found this album back in in '06/'07. Pandora had mislabled "Black Dove" as "Kenny's Theme". That Jeru the Damaja sample from "The Frustrated Nigga" had me sold.
Funny story, "Drama" has a line: "I break it down for your head piece, and give peace signs, and ride the Sheppard East". The 85 bus "Sheppard East" stops almost right outside my house and I took it to school and back for six years. Definitely the closest call out to home, second is another track (can't remember the artist) where they called out "Crow Trail" in Scarborough where I used to hang and play basketball with my friends.
First time ever hearing these cats and I am blown away. And I looked out for that transitions and have to agree with you. One love from Zimbabwe Africa. They almost remind me of Slum Village or Common and J Dilla. With a dash of Q Tip in the later years.
Thank you God for letting me find this album. I was constantly listening to this when my Grandmother passed away. Everything changed, lost track of them...Now that my Grandfather has passed, I'm back. Damn...
I remember banging this in my headphone back last summer, I love the summer since I can dip back into more music while actually relaxing. This was my shit back then, brings back nostalgia
Yo, respects for the upload haven't heard this since time. I remember getting a promo cassette copy after a comfort zone jam... Didn't take it out the tape deck for time...
Feb2023 1:30am Just now finding out about this gem. Greenery and drinks on deck Mch love rspct frm Afghanistan all the way to them back blocks of Philly 1LUV
As if the beats and lyrics isn’t good enough, they go and put a track like Melancholy Blue to the album, which would definitely pass as a quality electronic track in 2020s
A 45 year old Canadian and I'm pretty sure this is the first time listening to this album. I knew of it but never threw it on. This is straight classic bars and beats. Canadian hip hop represent. Thrust OG
i used to hear cuts from this album waaay back in the day on early Pandora...i spent some time looking for the CD every time I was at the record store always hoping to find it somewhere In some stack of forgotten used CDs. Alas, it w never was to be....i guess I'll just have to enjoy it on UA-cam

Wow! Haven't heard this album or been able to find it since Hawaii 2002. "Black Dove" and "Price of Livin'" were my favorite tracks! Nice upload bruh!
Sometimes I really appreciate the algorithm otherwise I would've forgotten about this gem. A proper play through album. Brings back memories.
Wish Da Grassroots would've took the beginning instrumental to "A Mother's Love" and used that beat for an actual track. Dope album nonetheless.
Eternal the stand out track fo sho
'Drama' has been in my head for 20 years....flip like acrobats on heroin...amazing to finally hear it again
"Drama" introduced me to this band. Accidentally found it on the internet 5-6 years ago.
Funny story, "Drama" has a line: "I break it down for your head piece, and give peace signs, and ride the Sheppard East". The 85 bus "Sheppard East" stops almost right outside my house and I took it to school and back for six years. This has to be one of the best rap albums from the 90s. Quality back to back!
Absolutely fire, start to finish, mixed masterfully, good work💪🏼
R.I.P swiff!
That transition to "Eternal" always hits nice
First time ever hearing these cats and I am blown away. And I looked out for that transitions and have to agree with you. One love from Zimbabwe Africa. They almost remind me of Slum Village or Common and J Dilla. With a dash of Q Tip in the later years.
