My current system revolves around a combination of paper/pen and electronic. No matter what I'm almost guaranteed to have some form of analog system with me, whether that's an Evernote brand pocket notebook (though I do use others on occasion), or my Royce Notetaker wallet that has a little mini notepad and pen in it. I also have Evernote on my phone with a widget on my home screen that lets me take pictures, use speech to text to write notes, and a standard text note (as well as Skitch, which lets you draw/annotate notes). I keep a hard copy calendar in the Evernote Moleskine weekly planner, as well as a google based electronic calendar that I edit using two programs, Sunrise, which is a really nice clean minimalist client, and Fantastical, which is a drop-down menu that you install next to the clock/spotlight/etc at the top of your computer screen. I've tried Wunderlist before and wasn't really a fan, but I think I'll give it another shot. Inkpad sounds like a really neat app. Not really something I need but downloaded it anyway.
I just bought the black soft pocket planner again for the 4th year and i love them. I love how it comes with one week on one side and notes page on the other side. Its like the perfect size and so worth the money and looks very professional!! TFS
I love these planners, im going to get a new one today so i can start planning again. The pocket size is my favorite!! Its the perfect size for me and im trying to keep things simple and this is perfect!
Really great video - thanks so much - I had actually just bought a Moleskine red pocket sized weekly/diary planner just like yours and was second guessing myself thinking maybe I should have gotten the larger size, and now after watching your video, I feel glad that I got the pocket size. LIked your color coding. It was also helpful to see the stickers and pocket in the back. Thanks for brightening my day. :))
What I like to do is very simple. I flip my notebooks and start at one end for to do list and when I want to journal or do something more creative, I will flip it and use the other end of the notebook.
Love those pens, where did you find them? You sent me some a while ago im in love!! Do you ever find the cute page flags and stationary from target? Xx
Hi Megan, a very useful and personal account of how you use Moleskine weekly planner. I know this video is now 4 years old, do you still use it with such passion as you did in this video?
Thank God the Moleskine planners are 50% off for March! I got the limited edition Le Petit Prince one. Thanks for the awesome video (: I was stuck between getting one or not.
This is so funny to me. I'm the complete opposite. I never make lists and I hate post-its, especially at work, where they tend to stick to things you don't want them to stick to. I always see people make lists about pretty much anything, I never understand what people make lists for. Some people even put for example their weekly yoga class on Tuesdays on a to do list. I just do not understand that at all! And if I did make a list, I would probably do it on my computer in Excel or something. But it fascinates and maybe one day, I'll start making lists too. I have a Moleskine too, but I hardly ever write anything in it. Will try and make an effort again.
Can you please do an overview of your 2015 agenda? I love these type of videos. I also use a moleskine and there are very few videos of people organizing and planning in them. Thanks.
Heather Miller hi heather! it doesn't have a monthly view at the beginning of each month. it has a yearly view at the beginning of the planner and a space to put important dates by each month as well. but no monthly view to write in; i wish it did! xox, megan
This was really helpful, thanks, Megan! I use the Evernote version of this planner and love it. Not cheap, but better than anything else I've tried, plus it integrates seamlessly with my favorite electronic brain! I especially like your color coding idea. I think I'll use it myself. If you haven't, I highly recommend checking out a task manager called KanbanFlow: kanbanflow.com. I like Kanban because it's a highly visual system. Take a look and you'll see what I mean. You can even make a Kanban board on your actual wall using Post-it notes if you want!
Cool video, and inspiring as well! I recently bought one of those and was curious how other people set them up. However - I'm disappointed to see that the new world gets better stickers then us europeans :-D

I've been looking for ways to become more organized and your video has helped. Using Wunderlist now...thank you!
Interesting video. Do you use both the Moleskin and your phone planner? Im thinking of doing this but does it get too much keeping two systems?

AH I NEED THAT MOLESKINE. I think I will just get it for 2015 since 2014 is a lost cause now.
Zoë Danielle you'll love it for next year, zoe!! xox, megan
Me too. Is there a specific type or name to that one? I loved the days of the week on one side and free space on the other.
hi manuela! it's called the weekly notebook. i have it in the pocket sized, but they also have a larger size :) xox, megan
Now that you are working, are you going to show how you budget? If your planner is any indication, I think you would be good at it...
M. Wooley i'll need to perfect my budgeting skills and i'll try to do one before the end of the year :) it would help me to practice it! xox, megan

You'd be better off using a bullet journal.
Too many lists, sorry
