It was nice to see both players doing their fair share in the final, both helped contribute to that target of 16. I thought they missed some easier questions but then got some much harder ones right which is interesting. Both sides had one crucial mistake in their set though - the team saying ‘Prince of Wales’ rather than ‘King Charles’ and then Paul’s mistimed jump-in. Also, Paul did the same exact thing in a 2019 final where he defended £60,000, blurting out ‘Green!’ at the end… I’ve watched this show too much haha.
I have to imagine that question was designed to catch out a Chaser (not just Paul). Any question beginning with Quad is begging to be jumped in with four.
@@TreguardD or intend the team had they chose Set B haha. It’s a thing I’ve been guilty of many times when playing along with the show and it is so annoying when it doesn’t pay off. How did you get on with this final chase?
@@accountnamewithheld yes, I acknowledge this was probably filmed pre-coronation as I think there was only one 2023 question in the whole episode. However, he was still referred to as king even if the ceremony hadn’t taken place yet. I still make the King/Prince mistake if I’m totally honest with you haha. The annoying thing is had they just said ‘Charles’, they’d have probably got any with it. How did you do in the final?
Brad only ever asks them differently as if he asked them really fast for the contestants they might not understand them, but as the chasers are pro quizzers, they can. He has said this in the past.
It really felt like the questions for the contestants were much easier than the Chaser's. Although I do congratulate the 2 players for winning, both of their performances did not deserve 100k at all.
@@nnnam3 in fairness, I thought Karen’s head to head was brutal, I only got one question right in the whole set (out of 7) and she made her way fully down the table with 94 grand on the line. The pushbacks did leave something to be desired though, I’ll give you that, they were better players than just two pushbacks.
The old adage “ listen to the whole question” Paul was gracious in defeat. Funny when he said “I’ve just cost itv 100,000 grand” Well played to the lady.
3:44 I saw Jenny lose because she needlessly butted in the other week and Paul's gone and done the same thing! It's fine to interrupt Bradley if time is against you but don't do it when you only need to get 11 questions right in 91 seconds!
its the way he literally looked at the clock, and then purposefully waited until the last second to give a wrong answer lol it's so obviously scripted it's crazy
They weren’t even good, Paul would’ve won had he not been so slow, the chasers are just too slow nowadays and it allows below par teams to win much more than it should.
Pushbacks wise, no, not the best team, but the real turning point was Paul jumping in too early on that question 30 seconds in. Had he let Brad finish the question, Paul would’ve got it right, and caught them.
The questions for Paul was significantly harder. Probably the producer saw the 16 and thought, well we don't want Paul to outplay the team, so they decided to throw harder questions at him, thinking of a close match, little did they know a little fumble on Paul's part and they lost 100k.

Is it too much to ask for one of these Chasers to just smile and congratulate the contestants when they beat them, and that is just one reason I shall never have any respect for them.
PRINCE Charles answer was correct Mr Walsh, as he was nt actually the King at the time...Good job they didn't t lose , because of this nit picking gaff

If Paul had beaten the odds and given the correct answer in that final second…I would have been FLABBERGASTED…while also laughing a tiny bit xD
He did himself by interrupting the "quadrosyllabic" question.
Lizards are green, let's be real - he wasn't actually far off with that guess! 😂

Incredible what a final chase well done to them both
They were fantastic and truly deserved to win

Eastenders, the well known British sitcom...
This was a more balanced Chase than I’ve seen of late. Even Bradley asked the questions, of both contestants and the chaser, at the same pace.
Brad only ever asks them differently as if he asked them really fast for the contestants they might not understand them, but as the chasers are pro quizzers, they can. He has said this in the past.
What a win
We saw this Case and were amazed to see the way in which Paul lost .
Green was not bad at all. I imagined being in his shoes and shouted U.S.A! 😂😂😂😂
This team deserved da money they team work very well 👌
Both players were good but hats off to Karen for going for big money when facing the Chaser alone.
They won??? I switched it off halfway thinking then didn't stand a chance!!
STOP SPOILING IT WITH THE THUMBNAILS!
Green with envy.
great chase. Chaser always has the edge as he only has to say the answer whereas the chasers have to push a button.. which takes time
They both have to press a button. In the final chase they both have to say the answer
