Ciaran McDonald's laser-guided left-footed scores a glaring omission.

lol nice one
I'm still new to the game, having played one season so far. I'm in the midst of trianing for my referee certification, and don't quite understand how in #2 he was allowed so many steps before the kick. Does the tackle/grab nullify and/or prolong the allotted time to solo/bounce/get rid of the ball?
No but it’s down to the discretion of the referee. U would have to watch the game a lot to know that would be very harsh for steps
He caught the ball, took about 2/3 steps, turned and kicked
@@GAAShorts He took 13 steps

Its not really about how many steps he takes (even though 4 steps is in the rulebook). He only made up 3-4 metres and did it in about 4 seconds, while he did use quite a few small steps. He didnt hold onto the ball long enough for it to be deemed an overcarry
Normally the ref just leaves a bit of slack. Some refs might have called a travel.
That’s crazy I just can’t believe it
David clifford
I wud agree how is Mcdonald not
Couldn’t get a good enough quality clip of his sideline point
@@GAAShorts hi are yu referring to kieran mc Donald
