Jake E Lee ( Jakey LOU Williams ) has ALWAYS been a monster on the guitar : has his own sound and personality in his work. Everything he's done is good - some better than others. Badlands was a hell of a band, who's time was abruptly stifled by the rise of "DIY Rock" ....Grunge for short and the death of the singer. Lee is one of the last truly great guitar slingers of the classic Rock N Roll era. There hasn't been a music industry since the end of the 90's ....and it was shit at that point , anyway. The players who've been tagged as "great" since that time have experienced a different industry (that's always changing) . Many of them never put in the work of club circuit touring and developing as a full time gig/lifestyle. Some get traction via the internet and book gigs, but there's no "refining" behind it like there used to be . That old tried and true era is gone , unfortunately.
