She can absorb, but there's so much endlag on rosa down B that Steve can react and punish. Only thing rosa can really take advantage of down B on is anvil really. Rosa down B low key sucks.

I don’t know how top players like Dabuz do it. Going from winning one game by the skin of your teeth to just getting choose to lose’d the rest of the set must be so tilting. I would never play the game again.
I should clarify I don’t think Acola is a bad player but by “choose to lose” I mean his adaptation is uncounterable.
The only big change he makes that I can see is he stops going for up smashes that aren’t guaranteed and he starts staying further away from his wall while he mines so Rosa or Luma can’t hit him through it. Then he also starts building multiple walls so he can mine longer. It is definitely adaptation on Acola’s part, but it is impossible for Dabuz to adapt to that. Walls are already hard to get through, even for Rosa who has a slight edge with Luma. It goes from difficult to practically impossible to do without getting hit.

@@pleah5085 yes when you play a character that has as many options as he does and they're pretty much all great on top of some of the best tools in the game (no pun intended) and your kit incentivises not interacting until you have farmed your tools people are gonna dislike watching/commentating/playing vs it.
This is literally a product of the smashes environment, being respectful to the players despite the character.

@@nathanlevesque7812 watch ANY Acola match from this tournament. He goes for the same shit every time because it is extremely safe. All the disjoints that kill and come with no risk. Every character has to adapt depending on the matchup. Steve just plays his little game and the other one has to adapt

Why do smash commentators always use of "they/them" regardless of whether they're talking about people that go by "he/him". Technically thats just ignoring peoples pronouns and is just a bit confusing

What's confusing about it? Before the whole pronoun debacle it was still grammatically correct to refer to a singular person as they, if given enough context. "Jason said to call them when you get a second." Is perfectly fine and isn't confusing at all.
@@Babykicker95 Maybe not confusing to you but it is to me and looks like some other people too. It makes me assume that dabuz / acola do not go by he/him. It is very uncommon imo to default to they/them unless you are being vague about the gender purposefully or if that person does not go by a gendered pronoun. Otherwise it makes much more sense to default to the actual gendered pronoun imo as that is how I was taught English in the US

It's confusing if Jason is the only person that can be reached and identified as male. Especially considering your example has a traditional sexual structure in mind.
