Love the mention of the daily driver rules. It’s past time to stop letting gutted vehicles with no a/c in daily driver. No one is intentionally daily driving a vehicle without hvac in Texas.
I use to have a daily driven 98 TA that had full interior, heater, drive and raced in same DOT approved drag radials BUT I took out my ac compressor as it was broke and didn’t phase me not having “ac” but was driven more than more of these factory styled cars and race cars too. So that AC rule is kinda a gray area. I mean older cars had options with no AC, soooo I mean do they get shafted out of a daily driver class and fit all the rules but don’t have AC? And ones without ac, if they put in a clip on portable fan from amazon and say hey that’s my “Air Conditioning” do you shaft them to because it’s not “factory” than you have to shaft the ones who have aftermarket ac systems installed in their rides too right? Like I said it’s a gray area and I get some of the complaints but I get the others sides too.
@@maxxlimit that’s the issue though. What you’re saying would pretty much imply that a daily driver could be anything. There shouldn’t really be exceptions for the most extremely rare case that don’t match what 99.9999% of the cars on the road are. It also shouldn’t be based on the absolute minimum comfort that the most extreme driver is willing to accept. The spirit of the class should be to represent a real deal daily driver that anyone would gladly drive on a daily basis. An air conditioner has the ability to remove humidity so a fan wouldn’t qualify as an air conditioner. This is the issue with classes and it’s why there has to be a judge. Because someone will inevitably try to use the most obscure and dishonest interpretation to get around the rules and in those cases you need a reasonable person to turn them away.

I think it could be a really good idea to film street races in Detroit to include a new place to film in your channel; besides, it´s been a while since you last visited Da Pad in New Orleans. In my opinion, a tailgate race, with a "working" tailgate, they should have to race with the tailgate down!! Or, at least be able to pull a handle & have it come right down!! This b.s. with big ass wings & parachutes mounted to the tailgate...those are "working" tailgates!!

I drove a lot of Cars in Mojave california with broken ass AC so i took it out.
