- Over the last few years, I've spent a lot of time and money testing and reviewing all sorts of trailer locks. Most were built cheap and easy to bump or pick. Just want to say that I have a bunch of Bolt locks all keyed to my truck, and have been using them for 5 years or so. Padlocks, hitch pin locks, and bike locks. All of them are well made and very weather resistant. About a year and a half ago, I had a padlock fail. I put the key in and it would turn indefinitely and not unlock the padlock. I contacted Bolt locks and explained the problem. They asked me to send the defective lock to them (at their expense) and they sent me a new one free of charge. I was happy to see they stood behind their product 100%. Are Bolt locks more secure than other brands?? I dunno, but they sure are more secure than no lock. The convenience of having them keyed to your vehicle is great. I recommend Bolt locks to everyone.

For my hitch pin I use a stainless steel bolt, with a large nylon locknut torqued down. I'll use that for my hitch and my bike rack. I don't mind wrenching it to change them out.
Those have to be pretty effective as well. I hate taking them off. Thanks for sharing!

The single ignition key is a neat feature. I have a key ring of 4 different trailer lock keys that lives in my truck currently. It would sure be nice not to have to keep track of and carry that around. Thanks for bringing this to your audience.

I don't know if these are the best locks yet, or not, but I look forward to trying them out. A lock for my receiver hitch spider, one for a padlock, another for a wheel boot, one for a hi lift jack, etc, it's gets pretty old, and when you need it, can you find it. I always know where my ignition key is....
The convenience of their one key technology is pretty awesome! I've used them for about 6 months without any issues so far. I'm interested to see how they hold up with all the snow and ice this winter.

Awesome content I just bought a trailer lock and lost the key I had to use my portaband to cut it off. This would solve the loosing the key or at least one key for the trailer. Hey if I loose the key to the truck I wont need the trailer anyway lol.

On another note.... Do you have any suggestions on 72 C10 weather stripping replacement? Love your videos!!
My go to in the past has been Precision. They make good quality stripping. Only issue is that they are on the thicker side so you have to slam the door pretty hard for a while. I have a unique alternative you can use as well. I have plan to make a video about it in the future.
Do they work with old-school GM keys like our old trucks?
Not that I know of. Most of the locks I've searched only go back to the mid 90s.

Like the concept of one key. One point to add: it is not always the lock that is the weakest point, ignore the lock and cut the latch for example. But heck yea, make it as difficult as possible for the &%#s to steal yer stuff. Too much time, too much noise, too much attention... they dont like that.

I’ve got some good doors, but no skins.
I use Amercan Lock. I get the new lock 🔐 to match my existing key. Now I have about 10 locks 🔒. Great for each trailer, shed and gates. 👍
The locks were about $14 each before Biden messed everything up! 😡

There is no valet key inside the fob? How do you get in the drivers door with a dead battery?
