Great video like always, just gonna drop a couple of tips.
Dust Sans's flame attacks set you on fire, and in order to stop burning you need to dash.
You get out of the Empty Gun's "Shooting Mode" everytime you take damage, so that's why you seemingly couldn't have used the ability when on fire.

When you don’t have it it’s dull and when you have it, it lights up a bit

I want to try out all of the weapons. I also have the Sea Tea now because apparently that does heal you.
It just gives you an extra boom with the two-handed gun. Um, It gives you an extra, like, stamina and stuff, but it still heals you as well.
"Save Joe" what does that mean, man? Wuh-what-what's up? Is Sans Joe? Where-where- freaking, here you go, man.
Oh! I don't know if that worked but it felt kind of nice.

I dunno, man. The game is suddenly a lot more fun, now that I've got the gun. That's all I can say.

Part 5 of merg playing UFS?! oh boy, this never ends!!!!
I think a tip for swap sans is using the jump landing attack thingy more, like baiting players into falling for it.
it's VERY powerfull and if you land it, you can attack the knocked-out charas with the rest of your attacks!
Tho even then, swap sans is still not the best character right now and kinda needs some buffs.
Tip for UFS in general (Fighting mostly. Both sans & chara) is NOT keeping your camera close. put your camera a bit more far so you can see better the environment & the incoming attacks!!
A tip for ruins dusttale sans : Every time you get hit by a fire attack, you are in burning state and get damage constantly.
To stop this, just do a roll. The burn effect is very annoying so you might want to get rid of it as quickly as you can (like you did in 11:29 )
Also tip #2 ruins dust: yes, you can aim the blaster. very crazy!!!!
Tip for orange soul: When you're orange, you move automatically in the front of your camera and can't stop moving. also you basically can't use the movement keys (WASD) since you can only move forward and it's done automatically.
So when orange, maybe focusing on sprinting and unsprinting (CTRL) & rolling can help you!
Also Whenever you're blue or orange, there will be a bar to the right side of the screen with the soul thingy. that's the time you will be orange or blue for!

Also merg, there are soul combos (the soul + items the human had). Like for example justice is cowboy hat + gun + justice soul. These combos give buffs to you. Kindness combo makes it so you heal more and your ability gets rid of karma btw. (You can get more souls by getting the ingredients from quests) (go to the DT extractor to craft souls)(The elevator to the left of spawn) (worn dagger’s can be used with any soul, you just need it + the heart locket)
You should go for Chara team quests first, and choose sans quests on your turn, to make completing quests and crafting souls faster.

additional info for swap sans:
underswap sans plays better at the backside of the map (the part where he spawns) because the large crossbone projectile is already there by the time he calls it in which allows for some pretty cool synergies
turn on shiftlock when using goofy run to be able to pivot more comfortably then turn it off after you stop running
remember that stalling is ok but the more time you give the humans is the more time they spend preparing to outplay you
goofy run is virtually undodgeable when in blue mode but it CAN miss (if you whiff it that badly.)
blue mode disables jumping and dodging so trapping people with the bone cage and using the crossbone in certain parts of the map allows for free undodgeable damage
in the second phase, additional blue bones will rain down inside the bone cage which is why it's usually safe inside the bone cage because rushers will take damage if they try to hit you while inside the cage (be careful of projectile users like the worn dagger, tough glove and empty gun users)
if you ragdoll someone with sans's jump ALWAYS use his bone zone first (the square patch of bones ensures you never miss when using it), do NOT use his bone rain because that wastes both the move and the ragdoll and then use his bone throwing attack which i don't know the name of (because it deals a ton of damage)
when in the second phase, be constantly aware that sans ACTUALLY uses his HP so try to prioritize dodging strong attacks like the tough glove and ballet shoes specials over their swings because they feel like nukes to the face and the stick special because it *slows you down.*

You can always roll into attacks to "graze" them for TP to use your neutral special more often. Also remember that your mouse is often used to guide/aim certain attacks such as the bone shooting or the bone rain that Underswap Sans has, not just the bone zone.
heres a tip as sans: abuse i-frames. not all sans get i-frames on their attacks but some of them that do can become extremely powerful if used to bait human attacks to completely avoid the damage, or better yet, avoid damage and waste the special of the human
heres the attacks i know have i-frames on sans, please include any that you've seen that isn't listed below
pacifist's homerun, charging for too long removes i-frames
pacifist's cripple bat
all of pacifist's jokes, but only the first half of the joke
swap sans' bone zone, i-frames end once you land
undertale papyrus' spear throw, charging for too long removes i-frames
undertale papyrus' phone call, i-frames may end at some point im not sure
crossbones' entrance leap thing, i-frames end as soon as you land
underfell's red stomp attack
underswap papyrus' swap dash
you can use these i-frame attacks as a "get out of jail free card" and allow for a moment to breath, or if you failed to successfully counter you can use an i-frame attack and ignore all downsides of missing a counter
I actually saw the hi merg message and got excited that you joined my server, I wasn't in the same server as you but I saw I think the dev messages
Fun fact: you get special-er abilities if you use the same weapon as your soul
Like, if you had the justice soul while using the gun, you would have colored bullets with different effects each
Quick tip: use weapons and armor that correspond to your soul for instance (what i use is Perseverance, cloudy glasses, and torn notebook) doing so will buff your ability

Quick tips for fighting Sans
Pacifist Sans: Try to trick them into using their counter. If they don’t have counter or home run, go for some hits.
Underswap Sans: They will spam moves when you’re in their cage. If you’re in the cage, avoid their heroic jump because it’ll stun you long enough for you to take serious damage.
Genocide Sans: Stand back and blast em. If your teammates are low, get in close to attack.
Science Sans: Most of his attacks are blue, so if you’re forced to move but you can’t or else you take damage, dash out of the way.
Papyrus: He has HP instead of dodges, so get a lot of hits in before he kills you.
Crossbones: When he lands, dash towards him. This will dodge the shockwave and also put you near or directly next to him, and you get a free hit in because he can’t move for half a second.
Underswap Papyrus: Make sure not to get caught in multiple attacks at the same time, they do rapid and high damage. Also, he has HP instead of dodges, so get a lot of hits in before he kills you.
Fell Sans: No tip. Good luck.
Dust Sans: When he hits you, it leaves a burning effect. If you dash, it stops the burn.
Horror Sans: To dodge his backslash, dash out of the way. When he’s in hungry mode, don’t try to fight him. Just wait until he’s back to normal.
Quick tips for fighting Chara
For characters with the soul control (Genocide and Science), use WASD to control where you want to slam them.
If your character has HP (Papyrus and Underswap Papyrus), make sure they don’t get too close.
The best Sans’s are the ones who do high damage when the Chara max HP is low.
Pacifist Sans is the best Sans if used my a skilled user.
Make sure to do combos or lure them into an attack they can’t dodge.
Quick tips in general
Stick special slows the Sans for long enough to get some good hits in.
Tough Glove special does high damage and has AOE.
Make sure to save stamina, it’ll be useful if you’re in a tough spot.
Aim for the low HP players.
Make your soul combo fire your playstyle.
Do quests to get SOUL fragments and craft SOULs.

Merg, incase you're wondering what the Moderator (or "MOD") Has been using, he was using a tester exclusive weapon from Undertale Yellow called "Wild Revolver" with alot of abilities and very insane damage output.

I have a very weird story from this game:One time i was recording a video for this game,and i was soloing the sans while everyone danced around me,my roblox avatar looked like a sherrif and had the gun,everyone just said “should we help him?” It was very strange,then they said “nah sherrif guy got it”

26:01, cowboy hat doesnt give anything, but with the empty gun, it gives you "justice combo" basically when someone dies (a player) you get dialogues, those dialogues help you, like something about *tension* one says "your wounds are healing faster than usual..." that one heals you, some gives you TP faster or they give you more energy
It does give u buffs without the combo
The hat gives you special effects whenever your teammates die, combo or no combo.

Any other games that you would give a chance? I found the Soul Shatters games you were playing to be entertaining and I think after playing UFS you've gotten better at moving around in those types of games. I'm pretty sure your skill would transfer anyways, they aren't too dissimilar in the movement department.
That mod was using the Wild Revolver from Undertale Yellow. Trust me when I say that mod was for sure going easy on you. I had someone use Wild Revolver in my game, and they destroyed every Sans in the server every time with that gun.
The pnly game merg is missing is The Ultimate Battle, it might not be popular but, it's VERY good, other than your own attacks hit you, but other than that, it's VERY good!

A small tip, if you are burning from dust then you can roll to deactivqte the debuff. And if you get damaged while you are in your aiming mode it will turn you back to normal mode so you can potentionaly dodge.

I feel like attacking as US!Sans can be more effective at close range. Sure, you're not nearly as "safe" from enemy attacks, but they'll have less time to react to the bone throw, and other attacks might take them slightly off-guard if they're already prepared to strike.
Take this with a grain of salt bc I have never actually played the game ;P

There is going to be an Undertale Yellow update sometime soon that adds another gun weapon that seems like it will be even more fun than the current gun!

Hey Merg, when you’re done with UFS you should definitely try other Sans vs Charas! (Stay away from Judgement Day, that game is very unfriendly to beginners) Personally I think you should try Last Corridor, it’s getting a rework and it’s pretty fun to play.

@@SpinningKarooGuy none of them are, nobody knows how to balance them. I'd say UFS is a step in the right direction for some aspects, but it still fails at balancing. I'd say ULC's issue is that it's overambitious and wants to do literally everything, whether that be crossovers, new features like the PNG Box Attacks, or literally reworking every Sans in the game because they didn't fit today's standards. All that being said I would 100% play a few rounds of ULC over UFS any day of the week as I find it easy to pick up and I played it around the time it first came out so I know what I'm doing.

@@SpinningKarooGuy I think ULC is the most balanced game and in that case more fun. It has starter servers and a way to get wins without fighting online players as another way to progress up to higher levels, aswell as being able to win against any sans as long as you have a good enough team. UJD is just p2w and UFS is heavily sans sided.

Merg you should attempt to get Justice soul you can see how to get it in the true lab and items for the Justice soul can be found from spamton. By doing this once you get the Justice soul you can complete the Justice combo by getting the cowboy hat to.
This will give you lots of good buffs

Merg, you should try to get bravery soul, it has a op soul combo that gives tough glove special a shockwave (if you dont know you can do soul combos, like use kindness+pan+apron

Merg a tip if your ever progress locked again pick the fun moment quest if your good with pas sans you can get 200 fun in one match and it gives aton of soul framents
There are different quests for further progress locks
I wish it had a little sound effect when you hit a successful shot, it would add to the satisfaction.
at the very least, it'd be nice to know when you hit it and when you didn't.

Respectfully i don’t think he would it has horrible balancing and its pacing is bad
I recommend using bone zone in the bone cage to corner them then use the leap so they take dmg for sure and if you catch people in the bone cage don't stay in it and use the bone zone to avoid players
O yea merg can I recommend I good undertale game try to play undertale last corridor it’s sorta the same as ufs but more new player friendly and you can get exp on characters and you can use morphs
