It kinda also misses the point of original Undertale genocide route where we aren't viewed as human but rather an eldrich being massacaring the whole Underground and erasing the whole universe out of existence as prophecy foreshadowed, that's why humanity is mentioned in Undyne's and Mettaton's dialouge and that's why Asgore does *not* recognize us as human in genocide route.

they should've definitely shortened it down/nerfed more than just Phase 2.

My main issue with this game is a fundamental one, the turn length.
Dying to a single attack after everything is, simply put, heartbreaking.

Everytime Merg plays a undertale fangame he becomes less sane and now he doesn't become emotional or sad when the boss dies. This is the character growth of a cherry that has been a undertale fan for so many years.

@@raulstopspam1791 isn’t the name frisk only used properly during the pacifist route though? You can name your character anything, but asriel specifically calls you frisk post battle. Correct me if I am wrong, I do not intend to invalidate your words

It took me litteraly a bunch of tries to survive normal undyne and you did this
0:04 How to flex without flexing by Merg.
For anyone else grinding this fan game for the attack at 1:17 there's a glitch spot roughly in the top right where if you stay still the hitbox of the non blue bone is bugged so you wont take any damage. Have about 2 hrs sunk into phase 3 and the farthest ive gotten is just after the followers. Wish me luck. Also REALLY wish you didn't have to watch the intro cutscene each time.
Edit: Sans down :) honestly just came down to getting a run with good rng for the folder not spitting papers at you and the ghost faces in the follower attack not spawning near you. Wouldn't be surprised if 2 hrs of my gameplay was just watching that unskippable intro dialogue, very annoying lol.
Edit: Asgore is not nearly as bad for the final attack just memorize where you need to go to avoid the vines and the rest you can mostly tank. Every another attack isn't that bad.

Hey merg have you ever heard of the deltarune mod RIBBIT? It's super high effort and has an all original story with new enemies, bosses, and SO much costum content. On top of that the whole thing is already finished, so no waiting for the rest to never release! I would absolutely love to see you play it because shockingly few undertale/deltarune fans have heard of it.
I'd love to see him play this masterpiece, but I wouldn't be surprised if he just avoids it because of the dark themes and profanity, which is a fucking shame.
It's 10000x better than this low effort impossible difficulty fangame

Congrats on finally beating it! honestly gave up in frustration on the final attack. Everything before it was honestly enjoyable (except that one blue attack in phase 3, if you get through it with good hp makes the whole phase pretty underwelming.) But when I got to that fire spam I thought it was rng and I was done. Though after watching your footage I saw how it just homed on you. So uh, thanks for the footage! Don't think I could've done it without recording it myself at least.
So good job staying determined!
Now I know Merg struggled with this one the most but honestly phase 2 was my favorite. For it's difficulty, I would say it's really well balanced, and just a lot of fun once you learn what to do. And the pray (with fixes and no attack) makes up for having your inventory in phase 1 carry over.
Overall, really fun fangame, just would really reccommend making the whole of phase 3 more engaging and changing the really unfair blue bone glitchy mess of an attack. As for the Asgore fight, it's honestly probably the easiest in the game after sans phase 1, combined with the insanely difficult and borderline unfair last attack, makes it painful to play through. I was listening to videos replaying through it I was so bored. Also NONE OF IT IS SKIPABLE. the sheer amount of auto dialogue and cutscenes makes it just so much more painful. PLEASE add a skip button. on the topic, no skip button seemed to become a trend after phase 2, with you having to walk to sans in phase 3, then wait for the cutscene transformation. The fangame as a whole would really benefit from more skip buttons.
Anyway that's all I have to say on the game really, for all it's flaws, still a lot of fun. Phase 2 hard carries though. I hope the developer can make some tweaks to the other phases to make it a lot more enjoyable.

Assuming that you don't just instakill everything at level 20, the reason Asgore takes so much damage in geno is because on top of you being super strong and murderous, he's caught completely off guard and is basically defenseless. Here, I can definitely see him realistically being able to take a few hits at full guard.
