Kino is an instant classic imo because when it came out I played this at a party with a bunch of buddies and it's what got me into the mode. Just playing for the first time was such an experience that I wanted to understand more But I do know I kind of fell off after Call of the Dead because the struggle of playing a game where I thought I couldn't win wasn't fun for me at the time. But then I played BO2s Mob and Origins a few times and I learned about the story, and it blew my mind. At that point, I had no idea that there was a story. Cut to Black ops 3 coming out and I immediately bought the season pass. I've been hooked to treyarchs Zombies ever since. And you're not wrong nostalgia is a hell of a drug
Nostalgia can blindly lead you. But there is no doubt that Kino is a classic, love it or hate it. Glad to hear your into the zombies storyline, is one crazy ride. Thanks for checking out the video, my friend 🙏
Hi, I'm here a year late to the party. I think you might be missing an aspect of the audience here when it comes to Kino. Me for example, I probably have around 400 hours spent on cod zombies, and I haven't completed a single easter egg story. I play zombies purely because I love trying to survive for as long as possible. I haven't played all maps, but most of them. And I still think they from just the aspect of trying to survive and have fun, Kino is one of the best. The set piece is amazing, atmosphere and creepiness. I get that maps like this age and get less attractive when you have newer and bigger maps, but I don't think nostalgia is the only reason people love it. So given that the overwhelming majority will be casual zombie players, that don't care about easter eggs or the story, I think it's a fair argument that this will forever be one of the best maps, from just a gameplay perspective
Awesome video. Just wanted to add to your point about if it was dlc4, that the original files for WaW had the wunderwaffe in kino NOT the thindergun. I feel like that change would have reduced so much fun for kino. 50% of the kino moments you mentioned everyone having involved the thundergun, and it allowed so many new players to stand a chance. Even if the thundergun was moved to five, i dont think it would have been the same success, as thundergun+stage training was, i would argue, what made kino blow up by casual and hardcore fans alike
BO1 was the COMPLETE package. Insanely fun multiplayer, well-written and exciting campaign, and one of the best zombies experiences we’ve ever received.
I loved this video, I feel like it presents a really fun thought experiment! although in order to really invest into it you need to forget about the map codenamed "paris" that I feel like 1. would have not had been scrapped and 2. would have been the casual map if kino stayed in WAW in my opinion. I have my doubts that five would stay the one launch map that wasnt DOA! though I really loved the video either way! Keep up the great work!
Mos important? I don't know i would agree...one of best sure... Map is big and openned with minimum fat...Nova crawlers makes you ajjusting your aim like you playing neo contra having to higs to track providing some challange, Atmosphere is nailed
Let's be honest kino isn't the best map but it was the bridge from waw to the new black ops formula and into the motion towards the future my favorite maps are origins,MOTD, and moon and they wouldn't be there without kinos success
My Kino story is the first time I got the Thundergun. I woke my dad up and I was super excited and then he told me cool and fell asleep LOL
😂😂 That’s amazing. I love it

I'd say kino is definitely the best "traditional" survival style map, but is one of, if not the most iconic map of all time
Totally agree. Even if I’d rather Mob or Origins be on that pedestal, there’s no arguing that Kino is absolutely the most iconic
Just found the video through your tik tok acc, keep up the good work 🎉
Thank you very much, my friend 🙏
This was really good man. Hope to see more like this in the future!
Agreed. This was awesome, just finished it
Thank you very much. More is certainly on the way
Thank you very much, my friend

For us germans Kino was even more important since it was the first Zombies map ever released for us.
Oh really?! That’s fascinating. Really cool trivia, thanks for sharing 😊
this needs more views
Thank you, my friend 🙏

Whaaat?! No way 🫣

Brother you got a future in video creation
Thank you very much, my friend. That means a lot
I always thought because these 2 reasons: 1. The top G played it. 2. It was on the wii
These are both true 👍

Ive never heard anyone mention this map. Its either the giant, tranzit or mob of the dead
Those maps certainly are important in their own right. Maybe I’ll need to look into those for future videos

Thusly, making Kino the most important zombie map. Well put my friend
@@Det_Somerset and a tip of my hat to you sir
