Chi Chi thought the irons Johnny used to win that US Open were magic. So, I saw a telecast years later with Johnny and Chi Chi, he gave those irons to Chi Chi and that made his day!
High respect for this former brutally honest golf announcer but mostly that in his book he actually admits that he choked at several big tournaments and lost because of it. We all choke under pressure at times but few have the honesty to admit it.
He did a shot for TV explained how to hit it dead straight with wind blowing hard left to right! He hit a normal shot that drifted with the wind and he one he hit dead straight unaffected by the wind, he explained it was done like an uppercut through the ball! He used on the 17th Hole Pebble when winning in 1994 which was like he’s 5th tournament in 4 years as he had started working for NBC in 1990
Hits it fat or thin. Looking at him more often fat. What the heck happened. Met him years ago in the UK at Collingtree with his brush brush method he had no interest in those who attended.
I love and miss Johnny's knowledge and commentary on golf. Love him or hate him, he was always right.
I always learn from Johnny’s tips. Thank you for these tips Mr. Miller. 🇨🇦💝🙏👍
I'll miss him on NBC golf. Loved his knowledge and honesty. As well as his '60's/'70's phrases: "Man, that was choke city."
These guys have so much golf knowledge they can’t exude it fast enough!
Johnny is such a confident badass guy when he picks up a club. I love this type of player; makes it look very easy.
Great tips. I’ll be looking for more.
I'll definitely take a tip about hitting irons from one of the greatest iron players of all time

Miss listening to his commentary during tournaments. It isn’t the same without him.
His replacement just didn't have the same cred. Miller is legendary
Michael Breed is sorely missed at the Golf Channel

Also important is when you address the ball try to be 6’3” and 235lbs.
I think Ben Hogan said that?
Brush-brush on the course works great. Adjusts you to uneven lies.
